On Valefor's side, the Purplefire Fiend King's spirit erged from the Myriad Fire Spirit Flag with a dubious yet nervous look.
"Were you asking , Master?" the Purplefire Fiend King wondered apprehensively.
However, Valefor shook his head.
Soti later, Thanatos arrived with the other three Great Devils in tow.
phistopheles, Astarte, and Balmodan had all taken the chance to see the 'Heavenly Devil' in person and confirm his strength with their own eyes without disrespecting the latter.
It was also a good opportunity to beco familiar with the Heavenly Devil, lest they fail to recognize him and offend him by mistake later.
What they didn't expect was that they would be convinced before they had even arrived. On the way to the core region, they had seen the enormous crater where the Sea of Eternal Purplefla should have been. Not even the swarm of Fire Fiends could be found.
However, it didn't take them long to notice where they all went.
The entire power of the Sea of Eternal Purplefla had been concentrated inside the purplish-black flag held by the Heavenly Devil.
"Your Excellency, I have finished the task and ca to ask if you have further instructions for ?" Thanatos hurriedly stated upon arrival.
From ti to ti, his gaze wandered to the Myriad Fire Spirit Flag, which emanated incredible power and aura.
The Heavenly Devil actually had a divine artifact capable of containing the power of the [Eternal Purplefla].
No, wait!
Upon further inspection, Thanatos found the Myriad Fire Spirit Flag familiar. It was actually made from his [Cloak of Darkness and Death] and the Purplefla Territory's [Decamillenium-Year Blazewood]!
The [Cloak of Darkness and Death] never had the power to store the [Eternal Purplefla]. Yet, it was sohow able to after inheriting properties from the [Decamillenium-Year Blaze]!
After Thanatos realized the Myriad Fire Spirit Flag was a brand new divine artifact refined by Valefor, he couldn't help but look at him with more respect.
This level of artificing was just too ferocious.
A divine artifact that could contain and use the power of the [Eternal Purplefla] was practically a True Divinity-level heavenly artifact.
Even if most of its properties weren't up to standards, its destructive power was at the True Divinity level at the very least.
That was the most important aspect of the divine artifact.
"Congratulations on refining a peerless divine artifact, Your Excellency," Thanatos quickly praised in awe upon realization.
At the sa ti, his words shocked phistopheles and Astarte. They quickly put on their best attitudes and mimicked Thanatos's actions in congratulating Valefor.
"Congratulations on refining a peerless divine artifact, Your Excellency."
"Congratulations on refining a peerless divine artifact, Your Excellency."
Hmm?
While phistopheles and Astarte had both congratulated Valefor with a bow and cupped fist, they noticed Balmodan had not done the sa.
Instead, Balmodan continued to stare at Valefor with a frozen expression.
Thinking back carefully, phistopheles and Astarte both noticed Balmodan's presence seed to have shrunk infinitely small when they had arrived.
Balmodan's presence was so small that even though he was standing next to them, they couldn't really tell without looking.
It was like he was trying to fade away his existence in order not to be noticed.
Why did Balmodan have such a reaction upon seeing the Heavenly Devil? Has he seen him before? Or has he offended him before?
"Interesting..." Valefor smiled slightly after noticing Balmodan's reaction.
He could tell from Balmodan's reaction that he was recognized-not as Vaan Raphna, but as Valefor Raphna. Considering the original tiline had been erased, he didn't expect anyone else to still know about Valefor Raphna.
Nevertheless, he should have foreseen it when he learned there was a Balmodan among the Great Devils.
After all, Balmodan was not Great Devil in the original tiline. He was only a hired Aura Grandmaster who got left behind during the third great expedition.
On the other hand, Great Devil Kezan, the Evil Wolf God, was still alive at that ti.
"How very interesting," Valefor uttered again with increasing interest as he stared at Balmodan.
In the original tiline, Great Devil Kezan was felled by him in the later years. Yet, in the new tiline, Great Devil Kezan did not co back to life.
Instead, a Pangean Aura User had taken his position and divinity, and his death was pushed ten thousand years into the past.
More importantly, none of the other Great Devils seed to be aware of this.
No matter how Valefor looked at it, Balmodan did not seem like soone the Lord of Chaos had specifically planted in the new tiline to help.
Even if he was, the Lord of Chaos had no reason to keep his mories from the original tiline. That would only leave a trace of his interference and endanger Vaan Raphna.
As such, the present Balmodan was soone who existed outside of the Lord of Chaos's plans.
He was a temporal enigma.
Soone ordinary in the original tiline had beco soone special in the present
tiline.
Moreover, that person most likely kept all of his original mories.
While the rest of the world was affected by the rewinding of the tiline, Balmodan was unaffected. In fact, history was even rewritten because of his special existence.
"Oh?"
Valefor suddenly noticed a crucial clue that could provide the answer to his doubt -
Balmodan's age.
Balmodan should only be around fifty years of age in the original tiline.
However, information from the Fourth-Dinsional Sense told him that Balmodan was
soone who had already lived more than 600,000 years.
Balmodan should not have such a large disparity in age unless he had spent the majority of his ti in an independent temporal space.
Moreover, it had to be a very powerful temporal space in order to produce such extre ti
dilation.
If Balmodan possessed such a powerful temporal space artifact, escaping the effects of the world's temporal rewinding beca understandable.
While Thanatos and the other Great Devils were wondering why Valefor was looking at Balmodan with so much interest, Valefor suddenly bead after finishing his thoughts. "Since I am being congratulated, there ought to be gifts, right?"
