"Hey, whoever you are, stop right there!"

"Are you lost? You're not welco here. While your heads are still attached to your bodies, I advise you to turn around and leave imdiately!"

"I won't say it a second ti!"

The dwarves looked at each other.

Percival was about to reply, but Zoltan stopped him.

Finally, the dwarves all turned their gazes to Lynn.

Lynn's expression didn't change.

He opened his arms, making a welcoming gesture to an old friend, and shouted towards the city walls.

"Oh, my dear Lambert, it's wonderful to hear you so spirited."

A few seconds later.

A head quickly popped out from the city walls. When it clearly saw Lynn, a pair of cat eyes instantly widened.

"Lynn, is that really you? I wasn't too sure earlier. Wait for , I'll let you in."

The drawbridge was lowered.

The iron gate in front of the city gate was also slowly raised.

A few minutes later, Lambert walked out of the city gate and imdiately gave Lynn a tight hug.

Seeing an old acquaintance was always pleasant.

Including Lambert.

Actually, Lambert was a softie at heart despite his sharp tongue. He was just stubborn in his words, but in his heart, he cared a lot about the Wolf School family.

"If it wasn't for you, I would have thought Mahakam sent an expeditionary force here to open a branch mine."

"But you have to explain to properly, what's the deal with these dwarven friends of ours?"

Although he didn't say it outright, Lambert was actually quite worried about Lynn.

Their relationship couldn't be said to be particularly close, but after experiencing killing the old spearhead together, Lambert's relationship with Lynn wasn't bad either.

There was more or less a bit of camaraderie between them.

Later, Lambert had encountered Geralt once in Redania.

When he found out that Geralt had separated from Lynn, he almost drove Geralt crazy with his nagging.

Lambert was truly afraid that Lynn, like so other witchers, wouldn't survive his first year down the mountain.

Fortunately, his worries were unnecessary. Lynn had returned.

"We'll chat in detail later. Co on, let introduce you."

Lynn gestured for the dwarven friends he had invited to gather around.

"Lambert, this is Yarpen Zigrin. The ones next to him are Lucas Corto, Yannick Brass, Xavier Moran, Paulie Dahlberg, and Regan Dahlberg respectively."

"These gentlen here are Zoltan Chivay, Munro Bruys, Figgis rluzzo, Yasson Varda, Caleb Stratton, and Percival Schuttenbach."

"Everyone, this is Lambert."

Lynn was very worried that Lambert's loose tongue would start with sothing like, "For heaven's sake, more mouths to help us finish our dwindling rations! I'm truly overjoyed."

It wasn't that Lynn thought badly of others, but it was indeed difficult to hear good words from Lambert's mouth.

But fortunately, the thing Lynn was worried about didn't happen after all.

Lambert just nodded blandly at Yarpen and the others and said, "Hey, how are you all?"

Perhaps to others, this seed like Lambert putting on airs.

But Lynn knew that this was actually an overachievent for Lambert.

Misunderstanding cleared.

The group followed Lambert into Kaer Morhen.

The dwarves looked around curiously, chatting and laughing. Even though it had declined, Kaer Morhen in its current state was still so magnificent.

Lynn then asked Lambert,

"Has everyone returned?"

Lambert said in his usual tone, "Except for you and Geralt."

"Geralt hasn't returned yet?"

Lynn's heart skipped a beat at first, but then he relaxed.

If Geralt hadn't returned, he was probably just delayed on the road.

He was Geralt of Rivia, after all. How could anything happen to him?

Actually, more than Geralt, Lynn was concerned about another witcher.

"What about Berengar? Hasn't he returned either?"

"Maybe he's back, but he got lost in the mountains. He's probably holed up in so cave right now, watching ice wolves bare their teeth," Lambert said with a slight sarcasm.

"Lambert..."

"Don't try to persuade , Lynn. At least on this point, I won't budge."

Lynn shook his head.

He no longer tried to persuade Lambert, who had a strong opinion against Berengar.

When they entered the main hall, Vesemir also heard the commotion and ca out of the kitchen.

And when he saw the dwarves following behind Lynn, he couldn't help but be taken aback.

In his mory, even during its most prosperous and glorious period, Kaer Morhen had never been visited by dwarves.

However, seeing that Yarpen and the others had co in with Lynn and Lambert, they didn't seem like enemies.

Since they weren't enemies, they must be friends.

"Lynn, you've returned just in ti. Co give a hand, otherwise we probably won't eat until midnight. As for your dwarven friends, let them find a place to sit anywhere, as long as they don't tear down this hall."

Yarpen grinned and said, "Of course not, Master Witcher. We'll be very careful."

Seeing that he was the only one left out, Lambert couldn't help but ask,

"Dad Vesemir, is there anything I need to do?"

"You?" Vesemir scrutinized Lambert with a doubtful look. "You'd better stay away from my kitchen. It's ssy enough here, we don't need more chaos."

Lambert was displeased.

"Hey, it's not like I can blow up the kitchen."

"Not quite, but no one can swallow what you make. However, I do have sothing else I need you to do. Eskel is fishing, go help him and bring back more. Since we have several more guests now, we need food, and the more the better."

After giving Lambert instructions, Vesemir and Lynn went into the kitchen together.

Confirming that none of the dwarves outside were eavesdropping, Vesemir then said,

"Alright, child, while your dwarven friends are comfortably warming themselves by the fire in the hall, you can tell what exactly is going on."

"I believe you're a good lad, so those dwarves shouldn't be here to collect debts, right? If they are, Kaer Morhen still has a few walls they can tear down as paynt."

"Those walls were all built under my own eyes, using the best stone. They should still be worth so money."

Vesemir rarely joked.

Lynn didn't even know that Vesemir had this side to him.

But thinking about it, it made sense.

Vesemir wasn't this old from the day he beca a witcher.

When the old man was young, he was even more dashing and romantic than Geralt.
