Borch, standing beside them, also spoke up for Lynn: "My dear, Lord Lynn is unlike most people you've known; he is a truly noble individual."

Lynn smiled and nodded at him.

"Lord Borch, you overstate it. I am not as good as you say, but I understand your previous actions and hold no ill will."

Myrgtabrakke, mimicking a human, bowed slightly: "I am deeply grateful. Furthermore, regarding your compensation, Villentretenrth just told he is willing to share half of the treasures I gave him with you. I have no objection."

"My friend, half of the treasure here is yours. You may choose first, and whatever remains will be mine."

Despite Borch's generosity, Lynn didn't imdiately pull out his runic leather pouch and start bagging coins. Instead, he seriously addressed Myrgtabrakke.

"Regarding this, I actually have a suggestion. Lord Borch and I will accept your treasure, Myrgtabrakke, but not all of it. I hope you can set aside a portion as compensation for the shepherds of Holopole."

"Although you caused no human casualties, you killed the shepherds' flock. The shepherds are entitled to compensation. I know you acted out of necessity, so I'm not blaming you."

"Otherwise, I wouldn't be here, speaking to you so calmly."

Lynn's reply stunned both dragons. Borch and Myrgtabrakke exchanged glances, both showing surprise.

"Witcher Lynn, you truly are an interesting person. You could easily split my treasures with Villentretenrth, yet you voluntarily forgo a portion."

"I've lived in the North for many years, and I'm well aware of how northerners generally perceive you Witchers."

"Tell , Witcher Lynn, what compels you to repay ill with kindness?"

Seeing that she had misunderstood him, Lynn explained.

"You're mistaken, Myrgtabrakke. I am simply abiding by my own rules. As for the scoundrels who dare to fool , I'll make sure they pay dearly."

"But the shepherds outside Holopole have not offended . In fact, I have no interaction with them whatsoever."

"They are shepherds, and their flock is their property. You caused them loss, so you should compensate them for that loss."

"I've never aid to be the protector of all people, nor do I believe I could protect everyone."

"But so things, if I don't see them, then so be it. If I do see them, and I happen to have the ability, I don't mind lending a small hand."

Even with Lynn's explanation, Myrgtabrakke still struggled to comprehend.

"You are very strange, Witcher."

"Even the noble knight-errants, whom you humans consider honorable, never try to reason with monsters, let alone those of your profession."

"But... my life was saved by you, and if you wish... fine. Anyway, these treasures are yours and Villentretenrth's. Dispose of them as you see fit."

With Myrgtabrakke's concession.

Lynn began his work.

He ticulously divided the treasures piled in the cave into three portions: two larger ones for himself and Borch, and a smaller one for compensation to the shepherds.

Of course, even the smallest portion of treasure was enough to compensate the shepherds ten tis over for their losses.

Seeing Lynn pack the agreed-upon treasures into his runic leather pouch, the cave suddenly felt much emptier.

Myrgtabrakke showed no sign of distress or regret. Instead, she voiced another request.

"Lord Lynn, actually, there's one more thing I need your help with."

"Although I've been hiding in this cave for days, I can sense that those humans who intend to kill are likely already on their way, perhaps even close to entering the Kestrel Mountains now."

"Therefore, I just requested Villentretenrth's help to eliminate the encroaching enemies."

"But Villentretenrth told he wished to hear your opinion first."

Lynn and Three Jackdaws had made an agreent earlier.

It required Three Jackdaws to first heed Lynn's instructions.

It seed Three Jackdaws had honored it well.

To be a god revered by the Kingdom of Zerrikania, yet still willing to abide by an agreent with a "weaker" Witcher, simply demonstrates how much higher he stands than so fickle humans.

"Hmm, I figured you'd ask for this."

Although Myrgtabrakke's presence in the original novel was brief, she never appeared directly. Her existence was conveyed indirectly through Dandelion and Borch.

However, considering that Myrgtabrakke had lived in the Kestrel Mountains for so many years without ever causing a "Dragon Scourge" incident, and that even when pregnant and needing food, she only attacked sheep rather than actively attacking humans...

It was evident that Myrgtabrakke, like Borch, belonged to the Chaotic Good alignnt.

But even Chaotic Good individuals would kill; they weren't bound by a vow of non-killing like Himura Kenshin.

Take, for example, the dragon-hunting party now heading towards her lair...

Without the vial of Superior White Honey Lynn provided, Myrgtabrakke would have had no choice but to swiftly retreat.

But now, it was different.

Although her body hadn't fully recovered, she could at least exert most of her strength.

Coupled with Borch and the unit of cavalry he specifically brought from Zerrikania, and finally, Lynn, she couldn't imagine how they could lose.

Borch spoke from the side.

"Lord Lynn, if you are willing to help Myrgtabrakke, I will pay you a significant additional reward. I can also arrange a position for you in Zerrikania, granting you privileges so you no longer have to toil for ager wages in all weather."

"However, I suspect you might not wish to see this matter end in bloodshed, am I right?"

"That's correct," Lynn nodded. "Actually, I have a solution that doesn't require a large-scale confrontation and can perfectly resolve the issue."

"Myrgtabrakke, you've located your lair in a very secluded spot. Even Borch and I, if we hadn't known its location beforehand, might have wandered the mountains for days before finding it."

"Therefore, we still have ti. Before they discover us, we can simply leave."

"Anyway, your treasure has already been paid to , Borch, and the shepherds. This lair no longer holds any value. Even if they find it, it will just be a deep, empty cave."
