The Delayed-Charge Quen Shield, as the na suggests, involved a few seconds of continuous energy supply before releasing the shield itself. The strength of the resulting shield was significantly increased.

It could withstand a dozen continuous attacks from swords or crossbow bolts before breaking. The old Quen shield was often a joke among witchers, called "as thin as paper" and shattering from a slight touch, but this new one was much, much sturdier.

The change to the Yrden Sign was equally impressive. Its range increased to a diater of ten ters, and it could now protect against airborne projectiles. Any projectile entering the Yrden trap's range would be imdiately knocked down.

Lastly, there was the Axii Sign. Geralt hadn't planned to test this one, as it directly affected the target's brain. But George stepped up and volunteered to be the test subject. So, Geralt cast Axii on George. The result was a few seconds of ntal disorientation. But even that was enough to prove the effect.

The Griffin School was already close to sorcerers in terms of chaotic magic, so on a normal person, the disorientation would likely last twice as long. In a fierce battle, a mont's hesitation could decide the outco, let alone several seconds of ntal confusion.

When Geralt cast Axii, a mory flashed in his mind: the sight of the charging knights of Toussaint he and Lynn had witnessed. This made him realize that the best ti to use Axii was to counter a cavalry charge.

If witchers with his casting ability stood in the front line and simultaneously cast Axii on the warhorses of the enemy heavy cavalry, the horses in the front would stumble, creating a domino effect that would easily break the charge.

The experint was not over yet. Everyone else retreated to a safer distance. Tissaia instructed Geralt to repeatedly cast Signs until his chaotic magic was completely depleted. This was to test the upper limit of Geralt's chaotic magic and his magic regeneration rate. The results showed a significant improvent over his previous data, as well as over a normal witcher's.

After the final test of his poison resistance was complete, Tissaia told Geralt he could go back and rest. She and Yennefer, on the other hand, had a ton of work to do.

As soon as the dismissal was given, Eskel and Lambert rushed forward, wrapping Geralt in a bear hug. The other witchers were all genuinely happy for Geralt's transformation. They knew that they would all one day possess the sa power as Geralt. They had planned to celebrate and get drunk that night, but they had only walked a few steps when they heard the forr rector's cold voice.

"Geralt, Yennefer and I will prepare a special nutrition plan for you. For the next month, that's what you'll eat."

Poor Geralt didn't realize the severity of the situation. He thought the two sorceresses were going to give him a good al to recover. But when dinner was served, he was dumbfounded.

Everyone else was feasting on rich, spicy food, but his plate was full of bland, boiled at and a mountain of vegetables. As for drinks, all he got was plain water. This wasn't fit for human consumption; it was pig food at best.

Geralt suddenly felt a little regretful.

Ti returns to the present.

On the training ground, Geralt was casting a freezing Aard with his left hand and an Igni with his right. An intense mix of ice and fire.

Lynn watched Geralt, who had undergone the second mutation, display his power and quickly read the full written report Tissaia had handed him.

After three months of observation, Geralt's body showed no signs of rejection. Not only was he full of energy, but his physical condition had been rejuvenated by several decades.

Geralt was already approaching a hundred years old and was past his physical peak. But according to Tissaia and Yennefer's magical examination, the current Geralt had the body of a thirty-year-old. Thirty years old... that's a human's pri, when their career and body are on the rise. Not to ntion a long-lived race like a witcher.

The final part of the report was an assessnt of the second mutation. Tissaia concluded that Geralt had shown a moderate increase in strength, agility, reflexes, constitution, endurance, Sign power, magical limit and regeneration rate, and poison resistance compared to his past self.

Assuming Geralt was equipped with a two-handed sword and full plate armor, he would be an unstoppable force against a regular person, even without using Signs.

What surprised Lynn was that the report didn't end there. There was more, but it wasn't about Geralt.

It was about the others. A month after Geralt's mutation, with his condition stable and without even the slightest sign of rejection, and with the other witchers' enthusiastic requests... Tissaia and Yennefer had decided to begin the second mutation for the others.

Eskel and Lambert also showed an increase in all aspects, though slightly less than Geralt's, by about 15%. George of the Griffin School had a significant increase in Sign power, magic limit, and regeneration rate, a moderate increase in strength, constitution, and endurance, and only a slight increase in agility, reflexes, and poison resistance.

Oakes and Serrit of the Viper School showed a significant increase in agility, reflexes, and poison resistance, a moderate increase in Sign power, magic limit, and regeneration rate, and only a slight increase in strength, constitution, and endurance.

"Lady Tissaia, thank you for all your hard work," Lynn said to her after reading the report. "I'm sincerely grateful for your and Yennefer's efforts."

"I should apologize, Lynn. I took it upon myself to allow your companions to undergo the second mutation without your consent."

"I understand. I wasn't at Kaer Morhen, and the experint couldn't be interrupted. It was a necessary decision."

As he said this, Lynn couldn't help but wonder. If he had been at Kaer Morhen three months ago, he would not have let Geralt be the first volunteer. That position could only be his. Just as Geralt had to take responsibility, if Lynn had been there, he would not have taken others' sacrifice for granted.
