[Chapter Size: 2200 Words.]

Third Person POV

Skellige.

...

...

The banquet once again filled the hall, but much more than the last one, as there were many more nobles this ti. King Bran was forced to open with so many visits, requests for audiences, and letters from kings all over the north, who were requesting entry, sending their entourages and permissions.

The hall was already completely filled that night, while those who should have been the reason for the banquet were absent, and this began to raise open questions among the tables.

King Bran only said that they would arrive soon, while the questions were endless. Thus, he sent his maid to check if they were already ready to leave the room and co to the banquet. After she reported that she had found them, they went to prepare.

About 20 minutes later, they finally arrived. When their nas were announced, they quickly drew attention, with the entire place falling silent as they watched the couple enter through the hall doors, as the guards opened them and they stepped in.

People had their eyes fixed on them the entire ti. Many there were only present to confirm whether they were really the two and not so kind of trick, placing people seeking power on a throne like a theater controlled by others.

And obviously, there was no way to disagree with this, even if they had never seen either of them personally before. Their appearance and posture already said everything by themselves.

Ciri had a beauty that would make all the princesses and queens of the Northern Kingdoms green with envy. She wore Calanthe's necklace and also Madara's earrings that matched her eyes.

Madara wore clothing completely strange to everyone there, since they did not know eastern culture. As he walked with Ciri's arm clinging to his, his clothes swayed with his stride, slightly open, but his posture was confident.

"Hahaha! If it isn't finally the young couple entering here!" King Bran imdiately began to laugh as he stood up. His voice echoed through the silence of the hall, the only other sound being the crackling of the flas.

They made their way to the main table, not before stopping at the nearest table, where Geralt and the others were.

"You look so beautiful, Ciri." Yennefer said with an enchanted smile.

Ciri returned the smile and Madara waved to his friends before continuing with her to the main table.

"Co, co, sit by my side. Today we will drink and talk together! I want to hear more about the latest events..." King Bran said, wasting no ti in removing the two from the reach of all the spies and nobles of the other kingdoms who had co to witness Ciri and Madara.

The couple then sat at the main table, with Madara beside the king and Ciri beside Madara and Mousesack. Serving to protect them.

"Should we be here?" Ciri could not help but ask, as she looked at her friends at the lower table. So nobles and even sorceresses tried to talk to them, while Yennefer seed to handle the sorcerers very well in a cold manner, and they always left with a tongue-click.

"If we go over there, we won't be able to do anything except answer people who will approach us the entire ti. Here, no one will bother us." Madara said.

Ciri thought for a mont and agreed with his reasoning. As much as she wanted to give in to her more playful side, he was right. At least there, even if it seed a little more boring, it would keep them safe from the power-hungry gazes.

People could do a lot to have a little of it, and it was easy to see that as everyone stared at them and the whispers about Cintra began to spread. That union would basically make Nilfgaard lose all its power over the kingdom, potentially raising a rebellion against the empire and driving it out of the North. Not to ntion that Cintra's new position would be ruled by a new king and queen, who would at the sa ti be open to dealing with the North.

The most greedy felt a certain unease in the face of Cirilla's lineage, as well as those who secretly knew about the power of her blood. There were also those who knew the power Madara had, and that was even more talked about than Ciri's.

A man who could destroy an entire army of an empire. A man who could cut two mountains as if he were a god among mortals. As much as many did not believe the rumors, there were too many witnesses. Even people who claid that those mountains were never the sa again. Having such a clean cut that people used it as land for construction.

That boy sitting next to King Bran and his fiancée... could be a god among n, or, as many said, a demon who could simply destroy the entire North.

There was also fear. Perhaps this was the main factor. All the kings felt threatened by the sudden news of the marriage, as they feared that the power he had shown in the war of Cintra could be used against their own kingdoms. Kings and mages wondered: how to deal with such force?

The question for all the kings of the North was clear upon learning of this union: would they remain neutral? Would they try to assassinate him, spy before he beca a real threat? Or would they try to seek support, offering their kingdoms and everything they possessed, just so they would not be destroyed?

"Could they stop staring at us so much?" Ciri murmured beside him.

"Staring is less bad than bothering." Madara replied calmly, as he drank so wine.

"Madara... I'm worried that maybe it won't just be Vilgefortz who will be a problem for our wedding." Ciri said seriously.

"Then try to see the future." Madara advised. "You have to see if sothing is going to happen."

Ciri stared at him for a mont. There were more people looking, pointing at them as if they were an attraction and not guests of honor. So averted their gaze in fear, others stared with interest, and even with a certain malice. It was disgusting. Ciri rembered Cintra when she was a princess, even though she was always with Madara, people still looked at her as the delight of the kingdom, a piece of at to be displayed by her grandmother among the noble guests.

Ciri closed her eyes and began to concentrate on her powers. Madara had told her she should be careful with long-distance teleportation powers, but she could still fight and also foresee the future. The powers of ti did not seem to allow those elves who hunted her to track her down.

In any case, the environnt began to change, and she no longer saw herself at a banquet, as if she were an animal in a circus. She began to hear the roar, not of animals or monsters, but of n. n with crowns on their heads.

"Should we allow this? If Cintra's lineage continues, what will beco of the North?"

"It's better than having my son ruling Cintra right at our doorstep, preventing us from the ambitions of Emperor Emhyr." Said another man with a crown.

"Fuck Emhyr, he no longer has an army, the rumors speak only of a tiny force he has managed to raise over the years, he's no threat to the North." Said another.

"He's right! Don't you understand the danger this union is? If they return to expand Cintra's territory to the North like Nilfgaard tried, tell , can anyone here stop that monster called Madara Uchiha? Can anyone stop that man?"

"Maybe we don't need to be their enemies." Another retorted.

"So you're just going to wait for him to simply massacre everyone? And what about that giant he used in the war? My sources claim he was on the continent the whole ti, fooled everyone, but never used it again... However, who can guarantee he can't do it again?" Responded an agitated man.

"We can't do anything about it. It's beyond our reach. I prefer not to anger that monster."

"Say that after Cintra's soldiers are marching on your gates. And if you think it won't happen, say that to their children, or their grandchildren, when they learn the power their father and grandfather had. And if they inherit that power... What will stop them? What will happen in the North when children with such powers are born and even greater ambitions? How will we be able to deal with them?"

The eting seed quite frustrating. Ciri could not see their faces, but she knew they were certainly n with crowns, kings, shouting at each other.

The discussion seed endless, without any solution. So still supported the union, others wanted to remain neutral, while so turned to extremism, wanting to assassinate them in so way.

Ciri could feel the fear in those last ones. They were so afraid that they would try to kill them. This enraged her, making her lose the connection. Quickly the world before her disappeared and she opened her eyes again to the middle of the hall once more, as Madara touched her shoulder.

"Sothing wrong?" He asked, as she pressed her lips.

"There will be a eting among the kings. If it's not happening already, it will happen soon. They're discussing entirely about us." She said.

"Well, it's not as if it's a surprise." Madara said, looking at the crowd. His gaze fixed on those who showed a certain malice.

He closed his eyes for a mont before opening them again, revealing the redness of a Sharingan.

Those sa n simply froze. They couldn't even scream. Madara had sent them into a world of genjutsu, making them suffer while they remained paralyzed, unable to do anything but feel paralyzing agony and the terror Madara showed each one with nothing more than his eyes from dozens of ters away.

He did not like the looks they gave Ciri. Queens and princesses usually received lustful stares, and even so kings enjoyed that, often displaying their wives as trophies to show power and the ability to have a delight at their side.

But Madara was different. He could not bear that look on his woman, and he made all those who dared to have it regret it deeply. None of their fates were pleasant.

n simply collapsed frozen to the floor. So believed it was from too much wine, laughing at them for thinking they were too drunk, others tried to understand what was happening, and so scread in terror, begging for help.

Ciri knew what was happening and was grateful to Madara. She found that kind of look disgusting, the sa her grandmother had received at banquets in Cintra, even in the presence of Eist Tuirseach by her side. Calanthe herself had explained that Ciri would have to deal with it, but even so, it was far too repulsive. She only wanted to have soone who looked that way at her and no one else.

She was grateful, but she also thought it unfair. After all, it wasn't only her who received those stares. For the opposite sex, Madara was still eyed by countless won, even with his future wife by his side, and Ciri hated that.

He was the most powerful warrior on the continent, perhaps in the entire world at that mont. Obviously, he would receive looks from won seeking power, or even from so ready to throw their husbands away just to have one night with him. That was equally disgusting to her.

Ciri wished she had the sa ability to inflict pain and suffering on those won, especially the sorceresses who looked at Madara as if he were a piece of at. There was one look in particular, from soone she knew — and had not liked from the mont she saw her.

"That's that woman, isn't it?" Ciri asked, pointing discreetly to one of the middle tables. There sat Coral.

"Yes." Madara replied, also disliking the look the woman cast at Ciri. She was there and seed to see Ciri as a threat.

"I swear, Madara, if she cos near, I will not hold back with the hilt of my sword." Ciri said, in a tone of a threat ready to be fulfilled.

"If she tries anything... kill her." Was all Madara said.

Ciri, for a mont, closed her eyes. She imdiately tried to see the future once again, wanting to know if there would be anything worriso happening at her wedding the next day. She was nervous, but she focused, searching for any sign of a future that could be a trap for her and Madara. Even without him asking, she wanted to check.

But all she saw was herself flying through the sky on giant wings, while in the next mont she saw herself laughing in a large cabin high on a mountain. From there, she could see the entire island of Ard Skellige, standing at the highest point of all Skellige, while the sea stretched across the horizon. She was happy. Happier than she had ever been in her entire life.
