The Wolfless Luna's Revenge: Returning With His Secret Twins Chapter 265
[SAMANTHA’s Point of View]
My eyes couldn’t believe what I saw.
There, in front of , was Purple, trying to shield from Olivia, whose claws were aid at my neck. The purity of the bright light the small pup emitted brought a warmth that gave a feeling of tenderness. It felt like the warmth of the first sunlight on my face after years of winter.
Olivia’s eyes widened, blinded by the dazzling light in front of her. I couldn’t move. I just stared at Olivia as I watched the dark, purple blight on her skin slowly lt and fade in the light.
For a second, half of her body was already inside the shield of light that Purple radiated around . I saw the curse on Olivia’s face crawl out away from the light like black vines of veins, as if Purple’s power scared it, and go down her hips to her legs, where the light couldn’t reach the curse.
“What’s happening?” I asked in shock as I looked at Purple, who was now in his human form and crouching between Olivia and . His eyes were not purplish anymore—more like liquid gold, just like mine and my wolf’s. His forearms and the side of his face were still covered with a thick silver coat of fur, reminding of the wolf guardian of the Moon Wolf Spring.
My eyes couldn’t leave Olivia’s face. The anger and the pure hatred that were once there were already gone and were replaced with that pleading, tortured look, as if she had been suffering for a very long ti and couldn’t get out from the powerful grip of the curse on her soul.
“Samantha!” Olivia scread as if she were in horrible pain. Her teeth gritted. Her eyes were teary. Agony was etched on her face as she tried to reach for with her one arm inside the do of light. “Help !”
My heart broke into a million tiny pieces seeing Olivia in that horrible state, knowing that she was still in there even after the curse had already claid her body completely.
My terrified eyes then searched for Richard Bennette to know his reaction upon seeing his daughter in such a state. But all I saw on his face was indifference. A cold look that made my stomach sick, as if he no longer cared if his only daughter was being tornted by the thing he had been protecting.
He never cared about anything anymore but gaining power and destroying my family and .
“Samantha.”
My thoughts were distracted when I heard Olivia’s soft, pleading voice again. Her eyes were swimming with pain and misery as she looked at with trembling lips and then continued, “Keep the children safe. My father wants their hearts as a sacrifice! Save Devon and Diana!”
Devon and Diana!
The first thing my mind did was convince that the children were safe in the Pack Manor. We left them there with Liam and Madison, making sure they couldn’t follow us this ti. But seeing Olivia’s face, I knew that there was sothing that Bennette was hiding.
“He has the kids!”
My heart felt like it was going to explode when Olivia hissed the words, her eyes full of dread as half of her body tried to drag her out of the light and completely possess her once again. Purple started to struggle, fighting the curse as he fell on one knee, his body shaking violently.
Richard Bennette had Devon and Diana!
“That’s impossible!” I wanted to think that Oliva was just trying to distract from whatever she and her father were planning. But her eyes showed the sincerity that I never expected to see on her face.
Scared to death for the safety of my children, I started to pull myself up from the ground. My other hand was on the wound she had caused, which was beginning to heal. Thanks to Purple’s purifying light, my powers were returning and were growing stronger.
[Dominic! Killian! Bennett has Devon and Diana! We have to find them! Now!]
I felt my husband’s dread and Killian’s confusion and shock when I scread in their heads using the mindlink. Dominic’s eyes went sharp. Anger and fear filled his chest as he looked around, trying to catch the scent of our twins in the air around the area.
When his eyes widened, I knew that Olivia wasn’t lying. Devon and Diana were indeed hidden inside the Black Claw’s campsite, and we needed to find them before it was too late!
“Tell where my twins are, Olivia! Where are Devon and Diana!? I desperately asked her as I grabbed her hand and squeezed it. She winced when my nails unintentionally dug into her skin.
Olivia whispered, her breath was ragged, and her voice trembled. “In the tent. Behind—”
Before Olivia could finish the words, she was already pulled away from the light by so force that threw her on the other side of the campsite. Purple’s do of light disappeared, and he fell on the ground, already in his wolf form. I quickly checked if he was still alive and felt relieved that the little pup was still breathing.
“Thank, Goddess...” I murmured under my breath as Purple weakly opened his eyes and then looked at as if telling that I had to find my twins. I gave him a worried smile and whispered, “Thank you, Purple. I will find them. I promise.”
I made sure Dominic and Killian had heard what Olivia had said and tried to distract the Black Claws and the Shadow Werewolves in front of them, attacking and making sure Richard’s focus was on the fight as I started to sneak around the campsite using my ability to disappear from everyone’s werewolf senses.
As the fight started, I made sure Purple was safely hidden behind a boulder while Olivia was still unconscious and was recovering from the confusion of the Do of Light that Purple made. Olivia said they were in the tent. But which tent? The place was surrounded by so many tents, and I had no idea where to start!
“Calm down, Samantha. Listen to your instinct. Follow their scent,” I whispered to myself as I started to panic, knowing that my twins were in danger. “Mommy will find you, Devon, Diana. Just wait for Mommy...”
Just like what Dominic did, I sniffed around and tried to catch my twin’s scent in the air. It wasn’t too long until my nose caught Devon’s favorite lavender perfu. He always used it because he always wanted to sll like his Dad.
Without any second thoughts, I followed the scent, and it brought to the south side of the campsite. There was a cave there, and inside was a little tent. I used my werewolf vision and saw that there was a cage inside the tent.
And my wolf confird that the two children inside the cage were my twins!
Devon! Diana!
As fast as I could, I ran towards the tent and almost ripped open the tent’s entrance. There, inside the silver cage, were Diana and Devon, embracing each other while they were still in their sleeping pajamas.
“Mom!” they both exclaid silently as their eyes widened after they had recognized .
I didn’t know what to feel as I saw the terrified faces of my children. I was in a panic and accidentally grabbed the silver bars of the cage and burned my hands with it.
“D*amnit!” My flesh hissed as the poison of the silver bar sizzled my palm.
“Mom! A Black Claw got into our room and grabbed and Diana away from the Pack House! And then brought us both here!” Devon tried to explain with his trembling voice.
“It’s okay, son. Mommy is here. I will get you out of this place!” I whispered to them and then smiled to make them see that everything would be alright and that there was nothing to be scared of. “Daddy and Uncle Killian are here, too.”
Despite the agony of the burns, I grabbed the silver bars and used all my strength to open them, pulling them apart. My teeth ground together as the pain shot from my palm up to my shoulder as I tried my hardest not to scream in agony.
My twins imdiately ran out of the cage and hugged so tight that they almost tackled down on the ground. I quickly picked them up in both of my arms and was about to run away when Olivia jumped in front of us; the curse had completely possessed her body once again as she tilted her head and glared at and the kids.
“Where do you think you are going?” she hissed; her voice was like a snake as her purple eyes glowed in the darkness.
I focused all of my strength on my legs and leaped as high as I could, landing on the spot where my husband and Killian were so that Olivia wouldn’t have an opportunity to attack while we were in a closed space. Dominic and I exchanged glances, and he nodded at as if to say that I had done a great job taking back the twins.
[Are they alright?] Dominic asked through our bond link, full of worry, as he fought back with the Black Claws.
[Yes, they are unhard.] I answered as I pulled Devon and Diana behind . Not too long after, Purple joined us as he jumped on Devon’s arms with his tail waggling.
“Mom! Watch out!”
Before Olivia could reach with her long, razor-sharp claws, Diana had tossed her white powder that burned Olivia’s whole face and blinded her eyes. Olivia scread in pain at the top of her lungs as she backed away from us.
“How did you get a purification powder?"I asked Diana and was surprised to see her, Devon, and Purple in his human form, holding hands. The three of them began to glow so brightly like stars as they walked closer to Olivia, who was already wriggling in pain.
I was about to stop them from getting close to her when I saw a gigantic shadow on the ground, and it was too late for to realize it was Richard Bennette above us, ready to pounce on the twins.
“No, you don’t!”
Dominic glared, his nose wrinkling in wrath as he tackled Bennette in mid-air, not letting the leader of the Black Claws anywhere near our children. But as Domnic stood up from the ground where he landed badly, a pool of blood drenched the dirt.
I felt this hot feeling that spread all over my body as my eyes glowed liquid gold.
“If you don’t f*cking stop, then I have no choice but to kill you all!” I snarled as I shifted to my wolf form.
