She looked like she was sowhere in her twenties. Judging from the robes she wore and the strange crest stitched near the sleeves, she was probably a mage. From what I had heard before, her ability allowed her to create portals that connected to a separate storage space where she could place objects and retrieve them whenever she wanted.
Basically, an entirely different dinsion acting like a pocket.
Honestly, it was an insanely convenient ability.
The more I thought about it, the more I felt like her power was way more amazing than mine. Sure, seeing the future sounded impressive when people described it out loud, but in reality, it wasn’t always that useful. Most of the ti, it just ant seeing disasters before they happened and then stressing myself out trying to figure out how to stop them.
It wasn’t exactly glamorous.
anwhile, she could literally pull things out of another dinsion like so overpowered traveling rchant. Honestly, I would trade abilities with her imdiately if I could. Imagine never losing your stuff ever again. There was no need for bag and no need to carry luggage. Peak laziness support skill.
While that thought crossed my mind, I focused back on the conversation happening nearby.
The woman had been asking Ella sothing.
And judging from Ella’s reaction, it seed pretty obvious what they were talking about.
Ella had apparently already slept with Leon.
"I-It was amazing..." Ella answered quietly. "Honestly... it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before."
The second she admitted that, all the won around her imdiately squealed in excitent.
Honestly, seeing Ella say sothing like that was kind of surprising. She was normally reserved and shy, so hearing her openly talk about sex felt weirdly unexpected.
Cute, though.
"Co on, give us details," another woman pressed eagerly. "I’ve heard Mr. Faust is really good at it, but how amazing are we talking exactly?"
"It’s amazing..." Ella repeated, blushing even harder than before. "Everything about it was amazing. I... I don’t really know how to explain it properly."
Her face was completely red at this point.
It honestly looked like she was about two seconds away from overheating.
"All I can really say is that... having my body pressed against his, feeling his warmth, and the stickiness afterward... it all felt so good that it honestly felt like I was floating on cloud nine."
The won around her squealed again after hearing that.
Honestly, it was kind of funny watching all of them react like this. They looked less like rcenaries and more like a group of girls gossiping during break ti. The only difference was that instead of talking about crushes secretly, they were openly discussing Leon’s sex life like it was a public event.
Then again, at this point, it basically was.
It honestly seed like everyone already knew Leon had a harem.
Not that I was completely unaware of it either.
Back during our academy days, it wasn’t exactly difficult to notice. Leon and the won around him never really tried hiding it in the first place. Even if soone wanted to avoid the rumors, eventually they would hear about it anyway.
I certainly did.
And I wasn’t even the type of person who paid attention to gossip most of the ti.
Still, information spread whether you wanted it to or not. That was just how things worked around people like Leon. Wherever he went, attention followed him automatically.
While I continued quietly listening, one of the won suddenly turned toward .
"How about you, Adviser?" she asked with a grin. "Have you had sex with Mr. Faust yet?"
The sudden question caught so off guard that I blinked a few tis before answering.
"?" I repeated. "I’m not even soone Lord Faust pays attention to in that way. There’s no chance I would’ve done sothing like that with him."
I answered honestly.
Because it really was the truth.
"Hm? Really?" the woman said, looking genuinely surprised. "I honestly thought you were already one of his won."
"Well... not exactly," I replied. "You’ve probably seen talking with him before, but our relationship is mostly just cooperation. Honestly, I’m not even sure if calling us friends would fully fit either."
And that was true.
At most, Leon was the person I turned to whenever I foresaw so future disaster about to happen. He was one of the only people I trusted to actually change things after hearing my warnings.
Mostly because he sohow always managed to do exactly that.
The confidence Leon had in changing fate itself honestly sounded ridiculous at first. But after personally witnessing the things he had already accomplished, I couldn’t really doubt him anymore.
He was terrifyingly reliable.
The kind of person who could hear about an incoming catastrophe and sohow respond like soone informing him it might rain tomorrow.
It was honestly unfair.
"But..." the woman continued carefully, "you’re in love with him, aren’t you, Adviser?"
"In love?" I repeated slowly. "With him?"
The question almost made laugh a little.
Not because it was ridiculous, but because hearing soone else say it out loud felt strangely embarrassing.
Still, the laugh never fully ca out.
Because honestly...
I didn’t really know the answer myself.
My feelings toward Leon were complicated in a way that was difficult to explain properly. They didn’t completely line up with what I normally thought romantic feelings were supposed to feel like.
At the sa ti, though, I couldn’t exactly deny that he occupied a strange place in my heart.
And honestly, the weirdest part was that I had already offered myself to him before.
Yet Leon still never took .
I had more or less accepted that as him simply not wanting more won than necessary. Because despite the fact that I had openly told him he could do whatever he wanted with , he never treated as one of his won afterward.
At first, I told myself it didn’t bother .
But sotis...
Sotis I couldn’t help thinking about it anyway.
Did that an I simply wasn’t soone he saw that way?
Was I not even considered good enough material to beco part of his harem?
Honestly, that thought hurt more than I wanted to admit.
Not enough to make resent him.
But enough that it stayed quietly in the back of my mind whenever I thought about him for too long.
At the sa ti, though, I didn’t think forcing myself closer to him would solve anything either.
Leon wasn’t the kind of person who could be pressured into feelings he didn’t have.
And honestly... I didn’t want sothing fake from him in the first place.
If the two of us were really ant to beco sothing more soday, then I felt like it would happen naturally regardless.
At least... that was what I kept telling myself.
