"That's... not possible though," Dina shook her head. "I made an oath- a promise to Ikaris, I am her right hand, I have to fight, and all of my mana has been converted to Calamity mana, it's impossible for to not use it."
"Then find a way to overco your problem and stop fretting about it." Renia stared at her seriously. "I do not think it necessary to warn you of the enemy we are going to face," She stood. "I have watched you for years now overco trial after trial, foe after foe, this is just a minor setback in your path, do not think to divert your course for the sake of this one obstacle."
Renia rested her hand on Dina's shoulder, staring at her with a somber expression. "Do not waver, stand proud as the goddess of Calamity and stampede across this hurdle, crush it completely."
After her vague encouragent, the goddess excused herself and went back outside where everyone else was, leaving Dina deep in thought again. [Mada President, is that all the information you have on the mysterious ssage?] One reporter asked, causing the conference to quiet down when Usami raised her hand.
"What more could you possibly want to hear?" She asked.
"Well, Ma'am, you're essentially saying that aliens exist and have been among us, that the system that we have has co from a different planet, and that Sol Vestic's threat will not affect us in any way at all, but is it safe anywhere when soone like that has the power to hack into our personal lives and steal any information nenh wants, governnt secrets, classified files, what counterasures are you creating to deal with this threat?"
"None?" Usami shook her head, raising her hand and quieting the murmurs again. "Listen, all of you."
"Sol Vestic is neither an enemy, nor is he soone who ans this world or any nation, let alone ours any harm, he is an ascendant being capable of feats that your minds will never be able to fathom, whatever secrets you can think of that he would want is of no importance to him, he already sees all."
"Is he so form of god?" Another reporter asked.
"Call him whatever you think you need to, the fact stilll remains he ans you no harm, how many tis do i need to say this?"
"I'm sorry ma'am, but the logic behind what you are saying is making no sense at all."
"Then let narrow it down with full disclosure," Usami walked away from her mic, pushing the fancy podium to the side and gesturing that they all give her a little more room while she sat on the steps and made herself comfortable.
The Atlas Organization that was reaking havok across the world was destroyed by myself, and Sol's family, the system that you all conveniently use to make your lives better, was granted to you by Sol Vestic himself, the reason the entire world is at peace is bevause of that man, he is an ally, and my close friend, the guardian who watches over our earth and the one protecting this entire universe from outside threats."
"If this is all true then why wait until he wages war against an empire to disclose any of it?" A reporter in the back asked.
"For the sa reason that you had no Idea that he existed," Usami looked at the man. "Sol wanted to be left alone, earth is his ho and we are his people, he does not like the spotlight nor does he care for the complexities of politics and fa, he is revealing his identity now because he has been pushed over the edge and is lasing out at all his enemies."
"Aren't we in the line of fire if he is from earth, won't his enemies also co after us?"
"It's a given that you would think this way," Usami nodded. "Ugh you people are asking so hard questions right now-"
"Then allow to answer a few."
At the sound of his voice Usami leapt to her feet, instinctively seeking him out and finding not just Sol, but Ikaris at his side as well.
"You didn't need to show up like this," Usami approached him with a smile, slightly lowering her head when he rested his hand on her shoulder like a father.
"I know, but it's been a while now, and aside from earth, everyone else knows who I am, I'm doing what I should have done since the beginning." Sol explained, both him and Ikaris were in their human appearences, a decision made in order to not scare anyone unnecessarily.
"Hold it," Usami raised her hand again when her guards began approacing. "Do I look like I'm in any danger to you?" She asked and the guards all stood down while she took her stance next to Sol and gestured to the silent crowd beneath them.
"Sir!" The front-most reporter raised her hand staring at Sol in shock. "Who exactly are you?" She asked.
"I am Sol Vestic." He answered and the audience exploded in an uproar as the reporters began screaming above each other to ask their question.
"Is everything the president said about you true, sir?" the sa reporter asked again and Sol nodded.
"Yes, all of it is true." He replied calmly.
"What about the woman at your side, who is she?"
"Please, all of you calm down and mind your manners," Ikaris smiled, and once again the crowd fell still. "Thank you,"
"Now I am here, there's a lot you want to ask, surely; but the answers are all complex and lengthy so I will summarise it to sate your curiosity."
"The emporium is an intergalactic, multi-dinsional Empire with the sole purpose to own everything under the light, they oppress and enslave their enemies, and those who cannot be oppressed or enslaved are annihilated."
"They do not know about earth, and I do not plan on letting them find out."
"Yes, I do have as much power as Usami has implied, and much more."
"The real reason I am at war with the Emporium is because they threaten the safety of my family, they are a threat that must be dealt with at all costs."
"What about the other one you addressed?" The front lady asked again.
"What about Umbra?"
