"She's lying," Umbra glanced at Giza while she held on to him, guiding him through her negative space, void of all light. "She's definitely lying to , I have to find a way to break free of her and betray her before she gets any ideas again, that power, I need it if I want to stand a chance against that bastard..."

His thoughts alligned with the warmth he could still clearly feel from her touch, her skin, hair and eyes may have returned to normal, but there was no doubt that the warmth he was feeling in his hand was hers, he had gotten used to it after exposure.

The question he was more interested in though was WHY? Why was she doing this much to keep the light, as a being destined to destroy it; to devour and eradicate all of it, why had she beco so attached to her enemy's power?

The only conclusion that Umbra arrived upon was that it was no coincidence, she did after all tell him that Sol escaped her once before, and she had arrived before him when he was at the sa place where Sol once was.

As much as she devoted herself to him, if Sol Vestic, the real Sol Vestic, ever changed sides, she would abandon him without a pinch of hesitance.

This thought made him even more uncomfortable, it made him feel even more alone, truly, there was none he could trust but himself.

"I am tethered to your emotions my Lord, I can feel your discontent," Giza looked back at him. "Is there sothing bothering you?" She asked.

"Of course there is," He narrowed his eyes as soon as shs asked. "Do you think I'll be fine after finding out about what you did?"

"Naturally, No," She smiled. "However, I also know that you never trusted to begin with, while I have given you everything except my mortality, you have only given reasons to leave, knowing that I will not."

"Where the hell did that co from?" Umbra almost asked aloud, but kept his thoughts and shook his head. "Is that how you feel?" He responded curiously.

"This is not a feeling, My Lord, I am stating a fact." She answered coldly again. "A Fact."

"Ah~" Umbra chuckled. "You're still mad because of the light, aren't you?" He asked, and for a mont she seed to be smiling at his taunt as she usually would, but she remained silent for hours afterwards mulling over the question, confirming that she was indeed still thinking of the light he had taken from her.

"It is not my place to be angry for such a childish reason, you purged , I am thankful, but you have to admit; while I was corrupted, you liked just a little more."

"Bullshit, nobody in their right mind could like you, you fucking monster!"

"Lumi."

"I am here, Lord Vestic," The Emissary of light appeared at his side with her head lowered in reverence as soon as Sol spoke her na. "Are you ready?"

"Good luck, Master," Arla balled her fists, giving Sol a cheering smile alongside Dina who was doing the sa.

"Are they that hard to deal with?" Ikaris looked at Alpha and the System's person smiled and nodded.

"If I were to put it into words then the battle to get the Emissaries to act might be a harder one than the battles that lay ahead, they have been this way since the light first appeared, unchanging, unyielding, what Master is about to do has never even been considered, let alone attempted." She explained and the Goddess sighed and held on to Sol's hand.

"Well then, there is a first for everything, isn't there?" Sol asked, firmly holding his wife's hand and then turning to Lumi again.

"I hope you succeed," She smiled at him and then slowly extended her hand. "Truly, it is my hope that they heed your words."

"Your tone sure has changed," Sol took her hand and hugged Ikaris to himself. "Three years ago you were all about Fate and maintaining the status quo."

"At the ti, I believed that Fate had everything set for a reason, that no matter the outco, everything would eventually be alright, as it once was so it will again be," Lumi's light mana began creeping around the three of them, enveloping them in a bright blue light. "Now, I am not so sure what the desire of Fate is."

"Y-"

A soft whirl of light later and the three were gone from sight, leaving Dina with Arla, Sara and Talia standing in his study.

"-You told before that Fate just IS, that the will it possessed was incalculable by the standards that our minds judge life and reality." Sol finished his sentence, staring at a giant white tree with all manner of beings made of light flying to and from its branches and roots.

"Thanks to you, my belief on the absolution of fate was shaken, the day that your little girl was born was supposed to be the day you all perished, yet here you are before , if there was absolution within fate then you would have died as it was foretold by the threads of fate, but my reason stems from what Giza represents, she is the end of all life, there is no outco where her victory is good for anyone." Lumi explained.

The tree itself resembled the one inside of his Soul's Garden; his Collective, but at a glance he could tell, it was many tis greater than his tree, with majesty nigh unfathomable even for him to behold, this was not a tree that held a collective; this was a tree that represented every branch of the Grand Collective itself, the great structure of the multiverse they inhabited, representing incalculable amounts of lives upon each branch.

"Sol," Ikaris tugged his arm, pointing and alerting him that his appearance was changing, but he only smiled and allowed it to happen regardless, Lumi as well released the restrictions holding her back and assud her true form, though to him and Ikaris who had been seeing her as such all along, she barely looked any different, save for the long floating hair.

"It's alright," Sol diffused Ikaris's nerves with another smile. "I am not here as a tourist or as an enemy, I'm here as myself, as an ally to all of the children under the light, seeking the help of the Emissaries, to ask for their aide against Giza."

"If you would please follow , the council has been made aware of your presence and have granted you an audience."

"Thanks, Lumi."
