Su Yan nodded,
"Let’s eat together."
A slowly progressing conversation finally moved to the next step.
Ten minutes later.
The two appeared in the living room.
To Su Yan’s surprise, there was not only a long table in the living room now but also exquisite dishes.
She silently glanced at the flickering red cara lens.
Ji Xingyu was nowhere to be seen; they hadn’t seen him since they left the room.
The dishes were carefully chosen, with a focus on being light.
Probably considering Ji Yan’s health.
Still, Su Yan quite liked the food.
After a while, as she quietly ate her al, she looked up to find Ji Yan’s dark eyes watching her, sowhat anxiously.
She put down her chopsticks and looked at him,
"Do you have sothing to say to ?"
Ji Yan’s throat moved up and down many tis, the seconds slowly ticking by, as if a long ti had passed.
Until she heard his hoarse and slow voice,
"I thought you wouldn’t co to see again."
He had repeated the words a million tis in his heart, hoping he could express himself clearly, just like a normal person.
Su Yan did not ask for a reason, she paused for a mont.
Then asked,
"Do you have a phone?"
Ji Yan’s body stiffened, head lowered, he mumbled,
"I, I don’t have one."
For so reason, Su Yan heard a sense of grievance in it.
She stood up and searched around the entire living room, finally finding paper and a pen.
Then she wrote down a series of numbers and an address.
Afterward, she pushed the piece of paper in front of Ji Yan.
"This is my address and phone number. You can call or co to see ."
She spoke very clearly, slowing down her speech.
After finishing, she rolled it into a scroll and then placed it in the palm of Ji Yan’s hand.
Grasping the paper, Ji Yan’s mood quite obviously brightened.
You could even see a light in those dark eyes.
Then he nodded solemnly,
"Mhm"
Perhaps because he was happy, his whole face seed to have more life about it.
While eating, Su Yan kept slling a very faint scent.
It was a strange sll, like blood mixed with the faint fragrance of mint.
Not until the al was finished did her gaze unintentionally sweep across Ji Yan’s wrist.
Before, his slightly oversized sick gown had been covering the injured wrist.
Now, probably because he was eating and so happy, he had forgotten about it.
The wrist was exposed.
It was only then that she noticed the white bandage on his wrist had been soaked through with blood.
She stared at that wound for quite a while.
Su Yan’s gaze was too obvious, and Ji Yan followed her look towards his wrist.
His body then tensed up.
He started pulling at his sleeve, covering up the wound on his wrist.
Observing Su Yan’s expression turning serious, he mumbled with his head lowered,
"Did I scare you?"
Su Yan didn’t speak.
He placed his wrist under the table and his voice beca much softer,
"Don’t be afraid, I will cover it up properly in the future."
Because Su Yan didn’t speak, he beca increasingly uneasy.
He held his injured wrist tightly with one hand,
Trying to rub away the blood stains.
The more silent Su Yan was, the more anxious he grew.
Until he saw Su Yan stand up and walk away.
Ji Yan’s body froze.
He felt a chilling mont all over his body.
Head lowered, he tugged at the sleeves of the sick gown, trying to cover the injured area.
Was he being disliked?
He also disliked himself.
Ji Yan sat there, feeling pain all over his body.
One hand on the table, sweat pouring down.
Did he fall ill?
He thought as his vision went dark intermittently and the piercing pain throughout his body nearly caused him to faint.
He stood up, wanting to go back to his room.
Knowing how unsightly he must look at this mont, he could go back to his room, hide away.
Then he wouldn’t have to worry about scaring her.
Looking at his room not far away, he took steps towards it.
Moving stiffly, one step at a ti.
