She said

After speaking, she walked toward the door, looked back at Ji Yan again at the doorway, then left without turning back.
Ji Yan stood by the bed, the heavy curtains blocking the midday sun.
Making the room appear dim.
He heard the sound of the front door opening and closing outside.
The whole villa returned to its empty state.
He hung his head, his face pallid, the mole at the corner of his eye particularly noticeable
