Yu Wenxu raised his eyes, his face still pale.
He exchanged a glance with Su Yan.
The emotion on his face was unclear, his voice indifferent:
"This Prince is discussing state affairs."
If it were anyone else hearing this, they would probably be frightened enough to kneel on the ground.
Su Yan reached out, pushing the bowl of dicinal soup towards him.
"Drink it while it’s hot."
Yu Wenxu’s thin lips pursed slightly as he looked at her, his eyes flickering with thoughts unknown.
He had not yet spoken when those civil servants could no longer bear to watch.

Slamming the chair, they stood up.

Su Yan watched his throat move up and down, confirming he was eating the sugar.

Bowed politely, then said nothing more as she walked out carrying the tray...
Originally, Yu Wenxu’s expression had already lightened sowhat.
But hearing Su Yan leave without a word of inquiry, turning to go, the relaxed expression turned even darker.

Suddenly, Su Yan’s footsteps halted.

Su Yan saw that he was slow to respond.
Glancing again at those like predators watching eagerly.
Could it be that he wanted to go back to eat but was too entangled in official duties to leave?
She lowered her voice a bit more, tugging at his robe, inching closer.
"If you want to, just respond. Later I can find an excuse to call you away."
Her voice was soft and serious, offering a suggestion.
Then she added,
"And your wound needs changing, or it will worsen."

"You’re coming back for dinner. I’ll co to fetch you."
She had thought he would argue back.

"Yes"

Who would enjoy dining in the study?
