Su Yan closed her eyes, yet the anticipated pain did not co.
She felt only a tightness around her waist.
A familiar, overpowering aura enveloped her in its embrace.
Looking up, she saw the smile fade from Hua Qing’s face.
He held her expressionlessly, his eyes deep and soulful, just gazing at her.
Stranger, indifferent.
The whip hadn’t even managed to strike before.

When she heard Hua Qing’s ambiguous voice
"Why didn’t you dodge? Did you really wish to die here, or did you want to see if I would save you?"
Su Yan blinked, reached out, and grasped the hem of his garnt.
She whispered softly,
"I’m in pain, I can’t walk."
After a silent pause, Hua Qing’s smile slowly erged.
But that smile, it was hard to tell whether it had more sarcasm or genuineness.
"Benefactors, they tend to use such tricks."
Su Yan fell silent.
She pursed her lips.
"I know you don’t want to see , and I’ve been avoiding you as much as I could.
I had no idea I would bump into you today."
As soon as her words ended,
The smile on Hua Qing’s lips grew deeper,
"Ah, so the benefactor has been avoiding , I forgot, you want dead."
Su Yan looked at him, opening her mouth wanting to say sothing.
But unfortunately, she was never articulate.
A few words from him left her unable to retort.
In the end, Su Yan asked dejectedly,
"Do you want to kill ?"
Hua Qing’s expression didn’t change, but he asked with a smile,
"How would a benefactor treat soone wanting them dead?"
How would she treat them?
That would be to kill that person, of course.
And then, Su Yan felt even more disheartened.
She let go of his garnt that she had been holding.
Then she spoke up,
"May I make a request?"
Hua Qing watched her let go in that mont, emotion swirling in his eyes for an instant.
However, he quickly lowered his eyelids, hiding the emotions in his eyes.
He did not respond.
Su Yan spoke haltingly,
"It’s okay, you can flay or cripple , but could you please not throw into the pit of poisonous insects?"
Those densely packed insects, she was truly terrified of them.
As the words fell, the person holding her, for so reason, filled with growing rage and an increasingly sinister aura.

Just monts ago he had teased her with a mocking smile, but now in an instant, his visage turned to one of a resentful snarl.

The sensation of being suffocated as if sothing was tightly gripping her gradually began to ease.
He held her close, yet dared not apply too much force.
Picking her up by the waist, he started walking outwards.

She realized he was the one carrying her away.
Her head resting against his chest, her pale lips moved slightly as she softly said,
"I have never deceived you, nor have I ever used tricks on you."
So, it hurts when you say such things.
