Nangong Yaoling closed his eyes for a mont.
"Where is Jiang Xue now?"
"She’s taking care of Xia Zhennan and Li Yunzhi’s funeral arrangents, but our people already have her under control."
Nangong Yaoling nodded. "You can go out first."
"Yes." Qin Yi said, then turned and left.
The room was quiet, as if one could vaguely hear the steady sound of the girl’s breathing.
The man reached out and gently brushed the strands of hair off her forehead, tucking them behind her ear with his index finger.
"Xiaonuan." He gazed at her and called her softly.
He took one of her hands and placed it in his own palm.
"It’s all over. I won’t let anyone ever threaten or hurt you again. Don’t worry." He lowered his head and pressed a light kiss on the back of her hand.

In the white kitchen.
Qi Yue was kneading dough while glancing at the phone beside her.
On it was an app introducing baking thods.
She had decided to bake cookies for Tang Yan with her own hands, because she might not have much ti left here.
In a while, her belly would start to show. She planned to leave this city before that, and then give birth to the baby alone.
Originally, in this city, aside from Xiaonuan being her best friend, she really had nothing else to be attached to.
But unexpectedly, she had t Tang Yan.
Qi Yue actually felt a bit reluctant to leave now.
The air was filled with a faint scent of cream and flour.

As she spoke, she walked straight over and sat down on the sofa.
Qi Yue stared at the exquisitely dressed, pretty girl in front of her, eyes wide, stunned on the spot.
"Go on with your work, I’ll just wait for him here," the girl said to Qi Yue.
Qi Yue let out an "oh," then suddenly thought of sothing and hurriedly said, "Then... make yourself at ho. There’s so fruit over there. If you want anything, just help yourself."
"I know. By the way... since when did Tangtang change to such a young maid? You look like you haven’t even graduated from college yet."
