The air fell into a brief silence.
If looks could kill, Xia Xiaonuan would have been stabbed into a sieve by Situ Yan’s glare!
A few seconds later, he stared at the woman earnestly applying dicine to him and said coldly, "It’s useless... I’m poisoned. If you truly want to save , give the antidote imdiately!"
"Soone who just said they wanted to kill —do you think I would give you the antidote?" Xia Xiaonuan glared at him. This man was simply unreasonable. Even in this state, he was still acting high and mighty.
His arrogant personality was comparable to Nangong Yaoling!
Except, the hostility in his eyes was even deeper than Nangong Yaoling’s!
Situ Yan: "..."
"You woman...! You..." Situ Yan was so enraged he was at a loss for words.
"Even soone like Nangong Yaoling, full of pride, ended up marrying a woman like you?" After a long ti, Situ Yan, internally seething, finally managed to squeeze out this sentence through gritted teeth.
Xia Xiaonuan was using forceps and alcohol to disinfect his wounds. Upon hearing this, her hand applied more pressure.
Situ Yan’s body trembled, he glared at her viciously, his face contorted in intense pain.
Xia Xiaonuan raised her eyes to look at him. She couldn’t understand why Nangong Yaoling had married her either! If he hadn’t married Xia Xiaonuan, then she wouldn’t have had to ticulously stay by his side, treading carefully step by step!
But, she was instantly infuriated by the contempt in Situ Yan’s tone.
"What do you an? What’s wrong with marrying ? If you don’t marry , then marry you?!!"
Marry him?
Thinking of a certain scenario, Situ Yan’s face turned dark...
"You woman... are you... cough..." He was practically angered half to death by Xia Xiaonuan, coupled with his wound acting up, a mouthful of fresh blood choked out from his throat.
Xia Xiaonuan’s face changed: "Hey... are you okay?"
"Get away!" Situ Yan impatiently shouted, closing his eyes in discomfort, not wanting to look at her.
He felt that he would rather die here today than endure the anger brought by this damned woman!
Xia Xiaonuan: "..."
Watching him becoming increasingly weak, Xia Xiaonuan started to panic.
She didn’t have the antidote at all. At this rate, within an hour, the poison could spread throughout his body. If that happened, he would be truly beyond saving!
Looking at his badly wounded flesh, Xia Xiaonuan’s mind was in chaos. In the next second, she rembered a scene she had seen on TV, where soone bitten by a poisonous snake during a wild expedition would just need to suck out the poison with their mouth.
Even though he wasn’t bitten by a poisonous snake, the poison on the blade should be similar, right?
Xia Xiaonuan thought ssily, her hand clenched tightly, ignoring everything else. Gritting her teeth, she held the man’s sturdy arms and bent her head, her lips pressing against the wound on his chest.
Situ Yan was sowhat tired and pretending to sleep. Suddenly, he felt sothing warm and soft touching his chest.
The man was slightly startled and opened his eyes to see a small head buried in his chest wound; realizing what she was doing, his tall body shook violently.
Xia Xiaonuan sucked a big mouthful of black blood from Situ Yan’s chest and spat it on the ground.
Then, she bent her head to continue sucking.
However, a large hand suddenly pressed down on the top of her head.
Xia Xiaonuan raised her eyes, looking at Situ Yan in confusion.
Situ Yan gritted his teeth and reluctantly reminded her, "Woman, do you know that by doing this, there’s a possibility you might get poisoned along with !"
Xia Xiaonuan froze upon hearing this.
Then, her eyes flashed with surprise and shock.
"Really... really?"
