“I’m waiting for you at Youth Tea House, private room 302.”
The abrupt ssage made Luo Ziling pause for quite a while.
“It must be her,” Luo Ziling guessed the identity of the person who sent the ssage.
But he didn’t head over imdiately; instead, he had Ling Ruonan stop the car at the school’s entrance.
After Ling Ruonan’s motorcade left, he ran back to the dorm to grab so things.
There was no one in the room. Cao Jianhui had sent Luo Ziling a ssage saying that they had gone to the library to review for exams and told Luo Ziling to co there to find them—of course, that was if Luo Ziling returned to the dorm and missed them.
Final exams were only two days away, and even students who never took classes seriously would cram during these last few days before the tests.
These days, it was nearly impossible to find a seat in the library.
Luo Ziling certainly couldn’t be counted among the diligent and studious, he had no idea how many days he had skipped this term.
Students like him were probably unique throughout Yan University.
With no one in the dorm, Luo Ziling saved himself the trouble of explaining and quickly left after grabbing what he needed, heading to Youth Tea House’s private room 302.
Upon arriving at the tea house, he went up to the third floor and approached the door of room 302. He knocked gently, and without waiting for a response from inside, he pushed the door open and entered.
“I knew it was you,” Luo Ziling chuckled as he saw the person inside, “You always try to play it cool, not even leaving a na in the ssage. Good thing I didn’t dismiss it as spam.”
However, upon getting a clearer view of the person inside, Luo Ziling was indeed surprised.
The woman inside was wearing a fashionable trench coat today, one of those bright colored new arrivals. Her hair was neatly grood, and her shoulder-length bob added an air of briskness to her.
“Wow, dolling yourself up really does wonders, you’re quite the beauty,” Luo Ziling plopped down opposite the woman and asked with a smile, “Why the fancy get-up today? Do you feel that it would reduce your value to casually date a good-looking guy like ?”
“You’re overthinking it!” The woman glared at Luo Ziling irritably and continued to sip her tea.
“Comrade Phoenix, why aren’t you happy even when I complint your appearance? Do I have to say you’re ugly for you to be pleased?”
The one who had asked Luo Ziling to co out was Phoenix, who had said a few days ago that she needed to get sothing from Luo Ziling.
Today, Phoenix gave off a completely different vibe, fresh and stunning.
“Whether I’m beautiful or not has nothing to do with you!” Phoenix was still irritable, “And whether you’re handso or not is also none of my concern.”
“How can it have nothing to do with ?” Luo Ziling didn’t take Phoenix’s annoyance to heart and kept smiling, “ being handso, at the very least, should be pleasing to your eyes, right? Your looking pretty makes sitting across from you feel better; when I feel better, I might agree to your request. Don’t you think so?”
“You’re annoying most of the ti!”
“Many tis, you’re even more annoying than ,” Luo Ziling countered sharply, “I’ve never seen soone asking for help while still having such a sour face. If it weren’t for the fact that you’re a beautiful woman, I wouldn’t bother with you.”
Phoenix glared at Luo Ziling again, then fell silent.
“You sure have good timing,” Luo Ziling picked up the pastries in front of him and began to eat, speaking as he ate, “Just as I was about to head back to school, your ssage ca. By the way, is that your phone number?”
“No.”
“Are you monitoring my movents?”
“I don’t have that much free ti,” Phoenix looked up at Luo Ziling, “I only inquired about your whereabouts because I had business with you today.”
“So you know everything I did today?”
Teasing Phoenix was quite enjoyable, so Luo Ziling ignored her displeasure and continued to kid her.
Phoenix knew Luo Ziling was making fun of her, so she maintained her irritated expression, “Isn’t it just that you visited another one of your lovers in the hospital, got into a conflict with her parents, treated the mother of Old Mr. Ling’s secretary, and then went to the Ling Family Old Mansion and your grandfather’s place?”

“Why stop talking?” Seeing Luo Ziling pause, Phoenix seed curious.
“Forget it, let’s not talk hypotheticals,” Luo Ziling shook his head, thinking about Lin Lan and not wanting to anger Phoenix, so he didn’t continue his previous sentence, “In recognition of your service to the country, I’ve reformulated a drug. It can kill invisibly, colorlessly, and tastelessly, just like water, with an extrely small lethal dose.”
As he spoke, Luo Ziling pulled out a multi-layer sealed container, resembling a bullet, and handed it to Phoenix, “There’s about 0.5ml inside. Under normal circumstances, it should be enough to kill fifty-so people.”

“Alright,” Phoenix quickly reined in her curiosity and pocketed the tightly-sealed vial, then sincerely thanked him, “Thank you for your help. If this operation is successful, I will also comnd you for your contribution.”
Luo Ziling shook his head, rejecting Phoenix’s goodwill, “I’m not interested in promotions, nor do I have a position to be promoted to, so I don’t need the credit. All I hope is that you won’t treat so coldly anymore, as if I’ve wronged you in so way every ti we et, turning you into a deeply aggrieved woman. I an, wouldn’t it be better to behave like a normal person who can laugh and cry?”
Phoenix looked at Luo Ziling but said nothing.
“People like you stand out no matter who sees you. Wouldn’t it be more powerful if you just looked like an ordinary person, not so cold, not drawing attention in a crowd?” After saying that, Luo Ziling humd, “I really don’t understand why you insist on acting cool. You’re missing that little bit of insight, don’t you know?”
“Alright, I’ll take your advice.” Phoenix said, and, surprisingly, flashed a smile, “When I return from completing the mission, I’ll invite you for a celebration drink.”
“Deal, I’ll take you up on that invitation,” Luo Ziling smiled as well.
“Hopefully, I’ll be able to return!”
Phoenix said this lightly, but it sent a chill down Luo Ziling’s spine.
He knew that Phoenix wouldn’t say such a thing without reason.
