Luo Ziling sat down on the sofa, laughing, “Indeed, I shouldn’t have. I’ll pick up the check tonight, how’s that for compensation?”

Luo Ziling was astounded to hear this, “Your parents really think this way? Hoping you to marry into a rich family, so they forced you to co on a date with ?”
“Pretty much,” Dai Shulan smiled faintly, but it was tinged with sadness, “They said they hope I could marry into a family with good standing and a decent man. I’m their only daughter; they don’t want to marry below my station, nor do they want to suffer in the future.”
“Is there a rather poor guy chasing after you?”
