Chapter 1559: Chapter 1559 What Conditions Do You Need?

After a round of pleasantries, Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling were ushered into the living room.

They took their seats as guest and host, with everyone wearing a slightly awkward expression.

Not entirely awkward, though—each person’s expression was rather complex.

Still exchanging pleasantries of little substance, after a while, Yang Yuanshan inquired about Luo Liansheng’s life in Yuezhou, to which Luo Liansheng described his recent life quite vividly, saying it was the most leisure ti he’d had in more than twenty years.

Yang Yuanshan knew Luo Liansheng was complaining, but he ignored it.

Once Luo Liansheng finished speaking, Yang Yuanshan didn’t know how to broach the subject, resulting in a sowhat awkward silence.

At this mont, Chen Qiaoyu spoke up: “Old Mr. Luo, my father-in-law has been undergoing hospital tests these past few days, and the results ca out yesterday afternoon. The situation isn’t very good. Could you take a look? We know that the dical skills of you and your grandson are exceptional, no illness can baffle you two.”

With that, she gave Yang Qingyin a aningful glance.

Understanding the cue, Yang Qingyin walked over to retrieve the diagnostic reports and dical records lying aside.

In fact, Chen Qiaoyu had already known about Yang Yuanshan’s condition from last night and wanted to ask Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling for help in treating Yang Yuanshan.

But under those circumstances, any request made would have been ineffectual, at least neither Yang Yuanshan nor Yang Yunlin would have heard it.

If they couldn’t hear it, there was no way to observe their facial reactions, making any request far less impactful.

Voicing it in today’s setting, however, ant sothing entirely different.

Luo Liansheng glanced at Yang Yuanshan, who said nothing, only sipping his tea slowly without further comnt, before accepting the file that Yang Qingyin handed over. After reviewing the enclosed reports and diagnostic papers seriously for a while, he handed them to Luo Ziling.

“Small cell low-differentiation malignant tumor in the lung,” seeing the diagnosis phrase, even though Luo Ziling had prepared himself ntally, he couldn’t help but feel a jolt.

In general, patients with such a diagnosis are virtually given a deferred death sentence. As to how long the deferral is, it depends on the patient’s own physical condition and the efficacy of treatnt.

Lung cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, and other malignant tumors located within organs typically have poor prognoses; many upon discovering cancer in these areas quickly lose their will, receding into despair, and their lives typically don’t linger.

The Yang family, though not dical experts, clearly understood that low-differentiation malignant tumors located in the lung have a poor prognosis.

Tumors are classified as benign and malignant. Tumors with a high degree of cell differentiation, such as common uterine fibroids, generally pose no issue in the body, even if untreated, unless they deteriorate, hence called benign tumors; poorly differentiated tumors are malignant, commonly known as “cancers”. The lower the differentiation, the more malignant they are, with worse prognosis.

If cancer cells spread extensively, affecting multiple organs and compromising their function, then life has reached its end.

Luo Ziling saw his grandfather refraining from comnting, rely handing the case materials to him, understanding Luo Liansheng’s intention. Promptly, he spoke up: “Sir Yang, although your diagnosis isn’t favorable, I believe that as long as we begin treatnt promptly, health can be restored.”

“My father’s health has always been overseen by Gu Jian’an, who prides himself as a Contemporary Divine Doctor, yet he couldn’t prevent his body from developing cancer,” Chen Qiaoyu sounded a bit agitated. “It’s disappointing, given how our Yang Family treated him as an honored guest.”

Upon hearing Chen Qiaoyu’s complaints, both Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling understood the implication.

Gu Jian’an had been in charge of Yang Yuanshan’s health. Despite years of remunerations from the Yang Family, he hadn’t managed to maintain Yang Yuanshan’s health. The blow to Yang Yuanshan was significant, causing so to lose faith in traditional dicine.

Chen Qiaoyu’s words also reflected the sentint of others in the Yang Family, expressing skepticism towards traditional dicine even though Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling’s dical prowess was widely acclaid.

“With targeted treatnt, barring unforeseen circumstances, it should be curable,” Luo Ziling disregarded the insinuation in Chen Qiaoyu’s words, maintaining an even tone: “The ergence of a tumor in the body certainly indicates a disruption of bodily equilibrium. Actually, abnormal cells arise daily in a normal body; they’re simply eliminated by the immune system. If abnormal cell production exceeds the immune system’s cleansing capability, or if the immune system’s efficacy significantly decreases, anomalies accumulate, leading to illness. As long as the body’s immunity is restored, and dications are used to eradicate the abnormal cells, after sustained treatnt, health can be restored.”

“Grandfather Luo, Ziling, please treat my grandfather; I am confident that with your dical expertise, you can restore his health,” Yang Qingyin promptly voiced her request, asking Luo Liansheng and Luo Ziling for help in front of everyone.

But Luo Liansheng did not imdiately agree, instead signaling to Luo Ziling with his eyes, then looking at Yang Yuanshan and Yang Yunlin.

Yang Yunlin opened his mouth, intending to speak but was stopped by Yang Yuanshan’s glance.

“The oncologists at the 401 Hospital suggested surgical treatnt, to remove the cancerous area and the nearby lymph nodes followed by radiation or chemotherapy to further eliminate lung tumor cells, then attempt to enhance the body’s immunity. We’ve decided to go with this treatnt thod!”

After Yang Yuanshan calmly stated this, he continued: “I wonder, Luo, what do you think of this treatnt approach?”

“This is a normal modern dical treatnt approach,” Luo Liansheng nodded, “Western dicine generally adopts this kind of treatnt.”

“However, this isn’t the best treatnt thod,” Luo Ziling couldn’t help expressing his opinion, “After surgery, the body’s functions rapidly decline, and the immune system is on the brink of collapse due to surgery and various treatnts. In Western dicine, it’s said that for low-differentiation cancer, post-surgery survival is approximately two or three years, and without treatnt, it is the sa. The quality of life without treatnt is far better than with treatnt; many patients even experience shortened lifespan following treatnt. It’s akin to the expression ‘kill one thousand, suffer ten thousand’. Traditional dicine, on the other hand, focuses on bolstering the patient’s bodily functions and enhancing the immune system to eradicate the lesions. What we do is guide the immune system to significantly boost its function and concentrate on attacking the lesions. The immune cells in the body can identify abnormal cells, thus avoiding the pitfall of ‘killing one thousand, self-damaging countless’.”

After listening to Luo Ziling, Yang Yuanshan suddenly asked him, “If I ask for your help in treatnt, how confident are you in curing the illness?”

“I can’t guarantee!” Luo Ziling replied without hesitation, “In dicine, I’ve never dared to claim one hundred percent certainty, and that goes for anyone. But I can assure you, as long as Sir Yang cooperates with the treatnt, the outco will definitely be optimistic.”

Yang Yuanshan asked further: “If you cure my illness, what would you want in return? Or rather, what conditions do you need?”
