Chapter 1565: Chapter 1565: Enormous Danger

More than an hour later, Phoenix fell asleep peacefully while Luo Ziling, utterly exhausted, collapsed at the foot of the bed.

Phoenix’s physical abnormalities were even more serious than he had anticipated, so he exerted all his energy to complete the treatnt for the night.

During the process, Phoenix kept her eyes closed, letting him do as he wished.

The things that happened, Luo Ziling hoped to forget them quickly, because he knew Phoenix definitely wouldn’t want to rember them, and neither did he.

Too tired, Luo Ziling struggled to get up, but upon standing, he fell back down and quickly fell asleep.

Before falling asleep, Luo Ziling vaguely felt like he had touched sothing soft.

Upon waking up, Luo Ziling felt a bit dizzy. After half-opening and half-closing his eyes for a while, he suddenly regained clarity and opened his eyes fully.

There was no one on the bed; he was the only one sleeping.

The Phoenix, who had fallen asleep after his treatnt, had disappeared without a trace.

Luo Ziling quickly jumped up, checked the room and the bathroom, but did not see any sign of Phoenix. It seed she had left while Luo Ziling was asleep.

He checked the ti; it was already three o’clock in the morning.

Luo Ziling thought about calling Phoenix but after so consideration, decided against it.

He didn’t plan to go back yet, and lay back down on the bed.

There was still a feminine fragrance on the bed, which slled very pleasant.

Luo Ziling was tired and didn’t think much else, quickly falling asleep again.

The next day, Luo Ziling woke up very early.

When leaving the hotel, he went to the front desk to check out but was told he didn’t need to handle the checkout procedure.

He didn’t ask further and left the hotel directly.

Called Ling Ruonan and said he’d be going to school for classes today.

It was Monday, and Luo Ziling wanted to return to school. He planned to go abroad in a few days, and during these days he wanted to attend more classes at school.

Last night, Luo Liansheng ntioned that he would be staying at ho today to rest and drink tea, not going anywhere. Luo Liansheng told Ling Ruonan and Luo Ziling to attend to their own business and not worry about him.

With his grandfather’s instruction, after contacting Ling Ruonan, Luo Ziling went straight to school.

During class, Luo Ziling received a ssage from Lin Lan asking him to visit Dragon Rise sanatorium at noon today.

Luo Ziling didn’t ask Lin Lan about it, he just agreed.

Phoenix sought him out yesterday; today Lin Lan asked him to co over. He thought there must be a connection.

Luo Ziling ended up taking a leave from his last class because he wanted to have lunch with Lin Lan.

Yang Xiaodong drove him there.

Upon arriving at Dragon Rise sanatorium, Luo Ziling saw Lin Lan waiting for him in the yard.

“You called over in such haste, is there sothing urgent?” Luo Ziling asked Lin Lan curiously.

“Did Phoenix look for you yesterday?”

Luo Ziling hesitated for a mont but eventually nodded, “Yes, did she tell you?”

“Yes,” Lin Lan nodded, “She slept in my room.”

“What did she say?”

“She said she felt much better after your treatnt.” Lin Lan smiled, not elaborating on Phoenix, “But today, the Leader wants to see you.”

“Then take to et your Leader!”

Lin Lan nodded, directly leading Luo Ziling over.

Li Haiyang was not in his room; he was in the gym.

When Luo Ziling arrived, he was practicing steps on the treadmill.

The treadmill had place for holding, which allowed for quicker steps, and even if sothing happened, holding on would prevent falls.

“You’re here!” Seeing Luo Ziling enter, Li Haiyang also stopped his exercise.

“Today, I walked over five thousand steps, several kiloters,” Li Haiyang said happily while stepping off the treadmill with Lin Lan’s assistance, “The coordination between hand and foot improved a bit; it seems recovery’s going well.”

“Senior, how about I give you another acupuncture treatnt today,” Luo Ziling said with so apology, “In a couple of days, I’ll be going abroad and won’t have the ti to treat you.”

“I didn’t call you over today for a treatnt,” Li Haiyang shook his head, “Last night, you treated Phoenix, and you used up a lot of energy; rest for now, before you go abroad, co over once more to treat .”

“Then does Senior have any instructions?”

“No rush,” Li Haiyang accepted the towel Lin Lan handed him, wiped his sweat, and smiled, “I want to ask, based on my physical condition, if I no longer undergo treatnt and solely rely on my exercise, can I recover to the level you anticipate?”

“It’s difficult,” Luo Ziling shook his head, “Your physical condition won’t fully recover relying on your own efforts, continuous treatnt is necessary. Currently, the frequency of treatnt should not be too high, or your body will develop dependency.”

“I see!” Li Haiyang nodded and said no more.

Only after walking back to Li Haiyang’s room did he speak of the main matter.

“In a few days, Lin Lan will accompany you to Japan.” Li Haiyang directly stated, “She’ll pose as your girlfriend, and her identity is as a student from Yan University.”

This left Luo Ziling very surprised, unable to understand what was going on.

After a while, he asked, “Does she have a mission?”

Li Haiyang nodded, “Maybe you’ll have to help her cover; using the relationship of a couple as a shield.”

Luo Ziling really wanted to ask what mission Lin Lan was going to execute, but after considering, ultimately asked nothing.

If Li Haiyang was willing to speak, there would be no need for him to ask.

If questions were necessary, better to ask Lin Lan.

Seeing Luo Ziling didn’t oppose or ask more, Li Haiyang expressed satisfaction.

He gave Lin Lan a look, and after Lin Lan nodded, she withdrew.

“Recently, Yanjing has been bustling with exciting events,” Li Haiyang smiled, “Unexpectedly, your grandfather himself appeared. I haven’t seen him for a long ti; perhaps one day we should arrange for him to have a drink.”

“Why don’t I ntion to grandfather that while I’m abroad, he could co over and treat you?”

“No,” Li Haiyang shook his head, “He’s an elder, asking him to co over for my treatnt would be too presumptuous. Maybe soday I’ll visit him, and if convenient, he can help with a treatnt.”

Luo Ziling just nodded, not saying much.

“A few days ago, while attending a military eting, I reported Dragon Rise’s current situation to the head of special operations at military headquarters, suggesting they select a suitable Dragon Rise successor from excellent special operations commanders. I recomnded your father, who is a very suitable candidate.”

Luo Ziling didn’t ask anything, just quietly listened.

“Talk to Old Mr. Ling about this; if he can advocate for it, things will certainly work out. Also, your maternal grandfather!”

Luo Ziling understood Li Haiyang’s intention and imdiately nodded in agreent, “Thank you, Senior, I will definitely make the request to them.”

“There’s one more thing I need to remind you of,” Li Haiyang, looking sowhat grave, told Luo Ziling, “Recently, your na has been listed on the Black Gold bounty site. It’s a website where assassins accept missions, and you’re a target for assassination. The bounty price is one million US dollars.”

Luo Ziling was instantly dumbfounded.

“Moreover, soone has already accepted a mission!”

Li Haiyang’s latter sentence nearly made Luo Ziling jump up.
