Chapter 1661: Chapter 1661 Be on Guard Against Soone Assassinating You in Seoul

The plane was flying high above the clouds, the sky almost clear. Through the window, the deep blue ocean below was clearly visible, and even ships sailing on the sea could be seen.

Luo Ziling sat by the window, quietly gazing at the scenery outside, lost in thought.

Beside him sat Cheng Bushi.

Next to them and in front were Wang Xuyun, Dong Qichang, He Lan, and others, though Wu Mingyun was not sitting with them.

Wu Mingyun hadn’t had much interaction with Luo Ziling in the past couple of days, seeming busy with sothing. At least yesterday, Luo Ziling hadn’t seen him. Before boarding today, they had a brief chat, and Wu Mingyun told Luo Ziling that he might have to return to Yanjing early due to so issues at the university. If a few deputies could handle it, he wouldn’t need to rush back.

After boarding, He Lan, Wang Xuyun, and the others engaged in lively conversation, while Luo Ziling sat alone, quietly watching the scenery outside.

He was thinking about what Chen Xiaoyi had said before boarding.

If things were really as she said, what would the consequences be?

Luo Ziling couldn’t imagine what the consequences of Chen Xiaoyi being pregnant and becoming a single mother would be.

However, he was well aware of Chen Xiaoyi’s personality.

If this woman really intended to go through with it, no one would be able to persuade her otherwise.

Unless she ca to her senses on her own.

While deep in thought, Cheng Bushi, sitting beside him, quietly asked, “By the way, Ziling, where are those beauties around you?”

The mutual forms of address posed a problem. Logically, those who wished to acknowledge Luo Ziling as a ntor should address themselves as juniors, but Luo Ziling disliked such formalities and asked them to call him by his na. The older folks gladly accepted; it would have been too much to ask them to call him “Master.”

Luo Ziling smiled, “They had things to do. They ca this ti to help as translators, just lending a friendly hand, purely coincidental.”

“And what about your keen pursuer? That very beautiful, tall Miss Lin?” Cheng Bushi gossiped, his tone as playful as a woman’s, even flashing a lewd grin as he asked.

“Might just see her in Hanseong.”

“Oh!” Cheng Bushi remarked playfully, jesting, “Maybe you’ll see a few more pretty girls surrounding you in Hanseong.”

“You will make your wishes co true.”

Surprised that Luo Ziling didn’t deny it, Cheng Bushi was caught off guard.

“Old Cheng, how did your father co up with your na?” Luo Ziling, wanting to shake off his gloom, asked with a smile, “As far as I can recall, Cheng Bushi was a famous general during the Han Dynasty. Hearing it suddenly, I almost thought General Cheng had traveled through ti.”

Cheng Bushi also laughed heartily.

Indeed, during the Han Dynasty, there was a general nad Cheng Bushi.

According to historical records, Cheng Bushi was a great general during Emperor Wu of Han, nicknad the “Undefeated General,” renowned like Li Guang. He consistently led troops guarding the frontier, combating the Xiongnu, expertly managing his forces with strict discipline, and never once experiencing defeat. In contrast to the flair of Flying General Li Guang, Cheng Bushi’s combat style was cautious, achieving neither major victories nor defeats. Li Guang’s command, however, led either to great victory or significant defeat.

Not expecting Luo Ziling to jest about his na, Cheng Bushi laughed again, “My father loved Han Dynasty history and hoped I would achieve sothing noteworthy, hence he gave a na shared with a historical figure. Unfortunately, I didn’t live up to his expectations and muddled through life.”

Saying this, he laughed at himself, “Initially, he wanted to na after Cheng Zhijie, but my mother objected, saying she didn’t like that Cheng Yaojin fellow.”

The other old folks knew the origin of Cheng Bushi’s na, yet they laughed along hearing him recount it again today.

After so light-hearted banter, the gloom in Luo Ziling’s heart lessened considerably.

The flight from Tokyo to Seoul was short, just over two hours long.

Amid the lively conversation, the journey didn’t feel dull at all, and the two-plus-hour flight passed quickly.

Upon disembarking, Luo Ziling imdiately checked whether the flight Yang Qingyin and Luo Yuqing were on had arrived.

To his disappointnt, due to flight delays, the flight they were on from Yanjing to Seoul wouldn’t land for over an hour.

Luo Ziling approached the delegation leader Hu Wenjun and deputy leader Wang Rongshan to request a leave, saying two friends were flying to Seoul from ho and he wanted to wait for them to enter the city together.

Upon hearing one was his sister, Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan briefly discussed it and readily agreed to Luo Ziling’s spontaneous decision. Thus, Luo Ziling didn’t leave with other mbers of the delegation but stayed at the airport to await Yang Qingyin and Luo Yuqing.

The Korean side held a simple welco ceremony at the airport, with officials in charge of health and welfare from their healthcare departnt and several foreign affairs officials greeting the delegation. Luo Ziling only separated from the other mbers after taking part in this modest welco ceremony.

Perhaps having learned a lesson from the Japanese, the Korean side abstained from provocation and arrogance during the ceremony, rely extending a welco when faced with a large dia presence. They expressed hope that delegation mbers would enjoy their ti in Seoul and engage in satisfying exchanges before letting everyone board the vehicles. Indeed, no one wanted conflicts in front of dia journalists. The Korean side kept a low profile, avoiding antagonizing delegation mbers, resulting in everyone’s satisfaction.

After the delegation mbers boarded the vehicles, Luo Ziling, together with Yang Xiaodong, Wang Zhenjun, and several other bodyguards who arrived on the sa plane in Seoul, waited at the airport for the landing of Yang Qingyin and Luo Yuqing, expected soon.

While waiting, Luo Ziling turned on his previously powered-off phone.

He saw ssages from Luo Yuqing and Yang Qingyin, complaining about the flight delay, being at least an hour late, hoping Luo Ziling would wait for them at the airport. There was also a ssage from Ling Ruonan, saying she had already landed in Tokyo and asking Luo Ziling to call or ssage her upon arriving in Seoul.

Luo Ziling sent a ssage to Ling Ruonan but didn’t get a response.

Luo Ziling knew Ling Ruonan rarely carried her phone, personal or not, usually leaving it with Wuyue.

Unless it was her downti.

He thought about asking Phoenix or Lin Lan about the situation in Tokyo and whether there were more updates regarding the Ishihara Family.

But after so thought, he decided against it.

He understood that if Phoenix or Lin Lan deed it necessary to contact him, they would certainly make it known or reach out.

Their lack of contact indicated no need to reach out.

Yet, just as Luo Ziling was about to put his phone away, he received a ssage from Wuyue.

“Young Master, be on guard for anyone trying to assassinate you in Seoul.”

This ssage sent a shiver down Luo Ziling’s spine.

He knew that within just a few hours, the situation had changed again.

Who could want him dead this ti?
