Chapter 1690: Chapter 1690: The Situation Is Against Us

Luo Ziling spent a lot of effort before finally convincing Ling Ruonan, getting her to agree with his viewpoint.

However, Ling Ruonan was still not very reassured, wanting Luo Ziling to inform her when taking action afterwards, to avoid catching her off guard.

Ling Ruonan didn’t dwell on this incident further, and even comfortably handed over the authority to him, only asking for a simple notification. Luo Ziling breathed a sigh of relief. He actually quite liked engaging in such little maneuvers and doing things that were not openly discussed.

Luo Ziling felt that he would beco increasingly outstanding in the future.

That night passed without any conversation.

The next day, Luo Ziling got up very early.

To keep a low profile, Ling Ruonan did not go downstairs to have breakfast but instead had Wu Yue instruct the staff to bring breakfast to her room.

Luo Ziling did not accompany Ling Ruonan for breakfast. Early in the morning, he received a call from Hu Wenjun, saying that they had already discussed all the details of the competition with the Korean side last night, but since it was too late, they did not inform him. This morning, they’d sit together to discuss it.

Luo Ziling agreed to listen to Hu Wenjun about the matter over breakfast.

When Luo Ziling went down for breakfast, Hu Wenjun was already waiting there.

Seeing Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan sitting together waiting, Yang Qingyin and Luo Yuqing thoughtfully went to get breakfast for Luo Ziling.

After sitting down and exchanging polite greetings, Luo Ziling directly asked about the results of the discussions with the Korean side last night.

Hu Wenjun inford Luo Ziling that the competition would take place today at 10 AM, in a venue called the Seoul Exhibition Center.

The audience could enter for free, but they had to make online or telephone reservations beforehand, and only after successful registration of identity information could they enter to watch.

The exhibition venue can accommodate over ten thousand spectators and is very well equipped.

All mbers of the delegation will be at the venue to cheer for Luo Ziling, along with embassy staff and so employees of Chinese-funded institutions and students studying abroad.

“The number of people we can arrange is not large; most of the audience at the scene will be Koreans,” Hu Wenjun said with a wry smile. “According to the Korean side’s announcent, after the news of the showdown was broadcast on TV and online dia last night, many people booked tickets via the internet and phone. All the tickets are sold out. That ans nearly ten thousand Koreans will be at the scene cheering for Xu Chongzhi. The atmosphere at the scene is definitely unfavorable for you, so be prepared.”

“No problem. If I can’t even dispel distracting thoughts, then I can’t perform acupuncture anyway,” Luo Ziling didn’t take it seriously.

Seeing Luo Ziling completely unworried, Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan, sitting to the side, relaxed a bit.

They had never been this nervous before. Both had led groups abroad as heads of delegations, but this was the first ti it was as stressful as this occasion. Luo Ziling, this unstable factor, almost drove them crazy. But now they realized that nothing else mattered as long as Luo Ziling won the acupuncture competition against Xu Chongzhi; there’d be no issue.

They had already received notification that the leadership would send top personnel to live broadcast and report this event. The efficiency of the dostic publicity departnt was surprisingly high, imdiately approving their request, which astonished both Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan.

They didn’t know that this was the result of Luo Ziling’s own efforts; they thought it was because of their report.

The CCAV agency stationed in Seoul, as well as Yanjing TV Station, Jiangnan Satellite TV, and Oriental News Station, all sent top teams to cover the event. Once the competition began, these stations would live broadcast the event. Early in the morning, there were promos in the rolling news on these stations, previewing this acupuncture showdown representing the highest levels of Huaxia and South Korea. CCAV even temporarily organized a special report on this competition, inviting several guests from the traditional dicine field to the studio to discuss issues related to traditional dicine before the live broadcast began.

This indicated that the dostic side placed great importance on this competition, the level of which was completely beyond the expectations of Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan.

They beca even more worried, fearing that Luo Ziling might lose the competition, which would place a significant burden of responsibility on them. If Luo Ziling won the competition, it would not only reclaim a national treasure but also allow the delegation to receive comndations, and they themselves would be recognized hence. Thus, after briefing Luo Ziling on so matters, they repeatedly instructed him, urging him to give it his all and not lose the competition.

“Don’t put pressure on , or there’s a real chance I might lose the competition,” Luo Ziling said, standing up and gesturing towards the place where Yang Qingyin and Luo Yuqing were seated. “I’ll head over there to have breakfast first. If there’s anything you need, you can contact them, and they can relay it to . Besides, when going to the competition venue later, I’ll take my own car. I don’t want to be emotionally affected by others.”

Yang Qingyin and Luo Yuqing, after getting his breakfast, didn’t sit together with him but found a separate spot on the side.

Seeing Luo Ziling saying this, Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan had no choice but to agree.

After finishing breakfast, Luo Ziling returned to his room, preparing to head to the competition venue together with Ling Ruonan.

After hearing the situation from Luo Ziling, Ling Ruonan gave a bitter smile: “Still so rushed, let’s hope it doesn’t end up like the ti in Japan.”

The entire process of the delegation’s visit to Japan was chaotic; anyone would think so.

The visit to South Korea was slightly better, but the arrangents remained rushed, especially for today’s competition.

It was only finalized yesterday afternoon, with the details discussed at night. Luo Ziling himself wasn’t inford until this morning. Ling Ruonan was quite worried about Luo Ziling’s condition, but since things were already set, all she could do was encourage him.

“Mom, don’t worry. Just enjoy my performance then,” Luo Ziling smiled, “You might not be able to see the competition process clearly on site; you can watch the live broadcast on your phone. The broadcast caras zoom in closer, so it should be clearer.”

“There should be large screens on site,” Ling Ruonan didn’t say much more, accompanying Luo Ziling downstairs.

A group of them took their car to the venue called “Seoul Exhibition Center,” guided by embassy staff, and entered the VIP section of the exhibition hall.

When entering the venue, they were surprised to see that the massive venue was already almost filled, with most of the audience naturally being Koreans.

Many Koreans had headbands with Bagua designs tied on their heads, and so were waving small Bagua flags. Their enthusiasm was palpable as they continuously chanted slogans that Luo Ziling couldn’t understand.

Upon reaching their seats, Hu Wenjun and Wang Rongshan, who had arrived first, ca to et them.

Seeing Ling Ruonan unexpectedly appearing on site to watch the competition, Hu Wenjun was visibly shocked.

However, as the competition was soon to comnce, they didn’t have ti to converse with Ling Ruonan.

At this mont, the Korean traditional dicine personnel also entered, with Xu Chongzhi leading the way.

His entrance imdiately ignited the passion within the venue, with cheers and shouts almost lifting the roof.

Many mbers of the delegation had their expressions change because of this.
