Chapter 1745: Chapter 1745: Your Woman for Life

(Chapter 25)

Lin Lan fell asleep again at noon.

She woke up around three in the afternoon.

After she woke up, Luo Ziling treated her once more.

The treatnt was quite effective, at least Luo Ziling was very satisfied.

After Lin Lan woke up, everyone began to prepare for evacuation.

Everything was in orderly fashion.

Fortunately, none of the accidents Luo Ziling worried about happened; everything was safe.

As night approached, more people arrived to assist in their departure.

Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun discussed with them and made a retreat plan.

Except for Luo Ziling, the others were special operations personnel, requiring no elaborate instructions. Everyone was very coordinated.

Around 6:45, Luo Ziling carried Lin Lan downstairs and they sat in the sa vehicle.

They both sat in the back seat, with Lin Lan lying on Luo Ziling’s lap.

It was an SUV with a spacious back seat. After folding down a row of seats, Lin Lan could lie flat in the vehicle.

A dozen people set out in three cars, with Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun in separate cars, one leading and one following.

The three cars kept a certain distance and left the area, resembling an urban village.

After reaching the main road, the three cars separated their positions, intermingling with other cars to avoid being monitored or noticed by the police.

After driving for over an hour, they finally arrived at a bay.

Hearing the waves crashing against the shore, Luo Ziling realized then that Tokyo’s urban area was not far from the sea.

However, at critical monts, things were more likely to occur. Therefore, hearing the sound of waves and seeing the shimring sea, Luo Ziling beca more anxious.

For the first ti, Luo Ziling truly witnessed the teamwork among special operations personnel. Seeing their arrangents, he felt no longer worried.

Yang Xiaodong handed him a night vision binocular, pointed to the distant sea, and said to Luo Ziling, “That’s the cargo ship, registered in Panama. Our people are already there to rendezvous. We will board it with small boats soon. Once we’re on the big ship, there won’t be much danger.”

Luo Ziling hadn’t had ti to respond when two speedboats quickly approached them.

He raised the binoculars, followed Yang Xiaodong’s direction for a while, and saw the large cargo ship anchored a few kiloters from the coast.

Without the need to say more, Luo Ziling quickly cooperated with their actions.

He still held Lin Lan, and with Yang Xiaodong’s help, got onto the speedboat. Once Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun also boarded, the speedboat swiftly headed for the cargo ship they had seen through the night vision binoculars.

The cargo ship’s deck was very high above sea level. As the boat reached near the ship, they needed to look up to barely see the situation onboard.

After making contact through signals, a rope ladder was lowered from the deck.

Luo Ziling instructed Yang Xiaodong to tie Lin Lan on his back. Yang Xiaodong didn’t say much further, using a pre-prepared rope to secure Lin Lan. Everyone trusted Luo Ziling’s strength; no one present had better skills or stamina than him.

More importantly, Luo Ziling and Lin Lan had a special relationship; only he could board with Lin Lan in such an intimate manner.

Luo Ziling reached the deck faster than anyone had anticipated.

Once onboard, he saw Fenghuang and Shanque receiving them.

The two won, upon seeing Luo Ziling carrying Lin Lan, quickly ca over to assist.

The won cooperatively unstrapped Lin Lan from Luo Ziling and swiftly placed her onto a stretcher, carrying her into the cabin.

Even though Luo Ziling’s limbs ached from exhaustion, he took a few deep breaths and followed them in.

The ship was a container cargo vessel, though it didn’t carry many containers.

The ship’s facilities were decent, at least providing favorable conditions for Luo Ziling and the others to rest.

There were clean beds and quilts, along with tea, snacks, and fruits available.

While in the car, Lin Lan fell asleep again, but she had already woken up by the ti they reached the seaside.

After such a fuss, she felt quite tired too.

Fortunately, the dicine Luo Ziling applied was very effective. The external injuries had scabbed over, and through all this hustle, none of Lin Lan’s wounds reopened.

Yet Luo Ziling was still uneasy. After carefully examining her and confirming there were no new injuries, he was finally at ease.

In the presence of Fenghuang and Shanque, Lin Lan felt sowhat shy as Luo Ziling stripped her clothes to check, but Luo Ziling and the other two won acted as if it was no big deal.

After a short while, the remaining support personnel also boarded the ship. They didn’t co to the lounge except Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun, who remained outside the cabin where Luo Ziling and the others stayed, as the others scattered discreetly.

The ship soon weighed anchor and set sail.

No one knew how long the journey lasted. Luo Ziling, having drifted into sleep, noticed the ship stop.

Fenghuang and Shanque, who had been resting nearby, ca to instruct Luo Ziling that the rendezvous ship wasn’t far away, urging him and Lin Lan to be ready.

The rendezvous ship was an escort ship carrying out missions in international waters.

Though the escort ship had a displacent of over 4,000 tons, it was much smaller compared to the 200,000-ton cargo ship. The two vessels couldn’t be too close; if safety distances weren’t maintained, they might collide in the waves. Thus, everyone returning to their country could only go down the rope ladder first, sail a short distance via a small boat, and then board the escort ship.

The ferrying small boat was provided by the escort ship. After receiving the signal from the small boat sent by the escort ship, Luo Ziling once again tied Lin Lan on his back and left the cabin.

“How many tis have you saved ?” Lin Lan whispered, lying on Luo Ziling’s back. “It’s tiring you out, coming to Japan by plane at midnight, and then bringing back ho at midnight. It seems like I can never repay you in this lifeti.”

“We’ve shared a bed. According to ancient customs, you’re my woman. If my own woman is hurt, and I don’t co to her rescue, would that make a man?” Luo Ziling joked over his shoulder to Lin Lan. “So, you don’t have to say anything. You would risk your life to save , and I’d do the sa for you.”

“In any case, thank you,” Lin Lan said, leaning forward to peck Luo Ziling on the cheek, “In this life, I’m your woman.”

Her words filled Luo Ziling with excitent, causing him to slip and lose balance, falling forward.

In front was a drop of over ten ters to the lower deck; if they fell, the two might not survive…
