Chapter 180: Conflict

Translator: 549690339

Cao Jianhui got into an altercation when he accidentally bumped into soone while picking up food and drinks with Lin Lin.

The man who was bumped spilled a little drink on his clothes because of Cao Jianhui, and he angrily yelled at Cao Jianhui. Lin Lin was nearby, and since Cao Jianhui was naturally proud, the other person’s rude attitude instantly enraged him, prompting a sharp retort.

In fact, the collision was not entirely his fault; the other person walking too fast was also to bla.

Both were at fault, but Cao Jianhui was slightly less so.

Of course, if Cao Jianhui hadn’t been holding a drink, they would’ve just bumped into each other and it wouldn’t have escalated into a conflict.

“Kid, you spilled your stuff on and still act so tough?” The young man, dressed quite decently, was surprised by Cao Jianhui’s backtalk and beca even angrier, “Hurry up and apologize, then clean my clothes and return them to their original state.”

“It’s not like I did it on purpose, you walked into without looking,” Cao Jianhui’s stubbornness kicked in, “Don’t be so unreasonable. If you had spoken nicely, I would have apologized. But now, I won’t.”

Cao Jianhui’s words only aggravated the man further, who pointed a finger at him nacingly and demanded, “Kid, are you really not going to apologize?”

“Let’s not argue with him, let’s just leave,” Lin Lin, who was beside Cao Jianhui, gently tugged at his hand and encouraged, “It’s such a small matter, let’s not escalate it.”

Hearing Lin Lin’s words, Cao Jianhui, who had intended to lose his temper, held back and prepared to leave.

“You think you can leave? No way,” the young man, furious upon seeing Cao Jianhui give him a furious look and attempt to leave, grabbed Cao Jianhui’s arm, “Damn it, does a country bumpkin like you think he can act so tough?”

“Who are you calling a country bumpkin?” Now Cao Jianhui was livid and flung the other person’s hand away, stepping forward angrily.

Hearing the commotion, Luo Ziling and a few other classmates ca over.

“What’s going on?” Luo Ziling stepped forward and asked with a frown, “What happened?”

Cao Jianhui explained the situation and then, with a look of grievance, told Luo Ziling, “It looks like he wants to hit soone!”

“So what if I hit you?” The man beca even more infuriated. He pointed a finger at Cao Jianhui arrogantly, “Who do you think you are? I’m telling you, if you don’t apologize today and clean the filth from my clothes, plus compensate with one hundred thousand yuan, I’ll make sure you leave here lying down.”

He had already figured out that Cao Jianhui and the others were students. A bunch of not yet fully grown kids; he wasn’t the slightest bit afraid of them.

If he lost face in front of a group of students today, he’d lose face amongst his peers as well.

With a smack, the man’s pointing finger was slapped away by Cao Jianhui.

“If you dare point your finger at again, believe it or not, I’ll break it?” With Luo Ziling beside him, Cao Jianhui felt much more emboldened and knocked the man’s hand away.

If Luo Ziling alone could leave over a dozen big guys rolling on the floor, let alone this wimpy-looking young man in front of them.

“Who’s making threats at our Mr. Qin?” A sneering voice ca from the side, “Oh, it turns out to be a bunch of students whose milk sll hasn’t dried yet. I can’t believe that our Mr. Qin is being bullied by a bunch of poor students, what a sight to behold.”

Luo Ziling saw it was a few people from the group that had entered earlier, now approaching.

The speaker was a good-looking but slightly effeminate fair-skinned man.

The fair-skinned man walked over to them, looking mockingly at his companion and then at Cao Jianhui and Luo Ziling’s group, he said to his companion, “Mr. Qin, if the fact that you were bullied here today gets out, you’ll lose face in front of Mr. Ling. You’ve also lost face today; shouldn’t you teach these poor students a lesson?”

These people were part of the group that had co in together, all looking dignified and extraordinary.

The other two n, who looked particularly distinguished and evidently the leaders of the group, didn’t co over. They were still standing in the sa spot, laughing and flirting with the gorgeously dressed won, glancing over here occasionally.

“Kid, I’m angry now. Apologize imdiately, you have two minutes,” the one called Mr. Qin held up two fingers and pointed at Cao Jianhui disdainfully, “and compensate for my clothes. It’s not much, just two hundred thousand yuan. If you keep acting tough, it’ll go up to three hundred thousand imdiately!”

Lin Lin’s aunt saw that sothing was wrong here and, after excusing herself from the people she was talking with, hurried over.

“Mr. Qin, what’s going on?” Lin Lin’s aunt knew this young man and was aware of his wealthy background, so she quickly tried to smooth things over, “We’re all friends here. For my sake, let’s stop arguing. I’ll take responsibility for any damage, okay?”

“Mrs. Li, it’s not that we don’t respect you, but these people are too arrogant. They spilled a drink on and dirtied my new clothes, and not only did they not apologize, they got angry at ,” Mr. Qin pointed to the stains on his clothes, angrily saying, “Unless he apologizes and compensates according to my demand, I’m not letting this go!”

“You trying to extort , huh?” Hearing this, Cao Jianhui beca even more furious, ignoring Luo Ziling’s attempt to hold him back, he burst forth and exclaid, “You are the one who bumped into , it wasn’t who intentionally spilled the drink on you. I was going to say sorry, but with you being so arrogant, I’m definitely not apologizing now. I’m not the one in the wrong, it’s you who wasn’t looking where he was going!”

“Mrs. Li, you saw it yourself, I’m not being disrespectful, but he’s too arrogant,” Mr. Qin said mockingly, pointing at Cao Jianhui, “You should stay out of this. We will settle this matter privately with these kids.”

“What’s happening?” Just then, another voice rang out, “What’s with all the noise here, what kind of behavior is this?”

Luo Ziling saw it was the two handso guys who had been chatting with a few beauties just now.

The one who spoke appeared to be the older of the two and looked to be the leader of the group.

“Mr. Ling, these students are very arrogant, daring to bully us here!” Mr. Qin angrily pointed at Cao Jianhui and Luo Ziling’s group, “Just now, they wanted to hit because they had more people!”

“Miss Li, please continue to entertain the guests; we’ll resolve this issue here,” the handso guy addressed as Mr. Ling said with a slightly cruel smile, unceremoniously signaling Lin Lin’s aunt to leave.
