Chapter 1853: Chapter 1853: Unexpected

Luo Ziling lazily glanced at the potbellied guy and his followers.

These people obviously looked like nouveau riche, which was clear from their deanor.

The middle-aged n walking behind had a noticeably different aura, and should be the officials like Director Li ntioned by the fat guy.

“Having a al and putting on such airs, isn’t that a bit much?” Luo Ziling chuckled, looking at the fat guy. “This isn’t a five-star hotel, it’s a rural inn, why act so high and mighty? We got here first and took this spot. If you want it, wait until we’re done. Don’t disturb our al, get lost!”

Although Luo Ziling spoke in a “friendly” tone, the final “get lost” was a harsh slap to the fat guy and his companions.

The two beside the fat guy instantly showed a change in expression.

The two young n who had just been driven away by Luo Ziling and Wuyue imdiately stood up to scold Luo Ziling for his arrogance.

Ouyang Feifei, Yang Qingyin, and Ling Ruonan didn’t pay attention to these people’s harassnt and continued to sit calmly, drinking tea.

“I’ll count to three. If you’re still here, you can go drink from the pond,” Luo Ziling got angry and pointed to the pond nearby, “With the ducks and chickens, it’ll be quite nice.”

But he quickly realized he misspoke, as chickens don’t swim in ponds; it was geese swimming.

Still, he couldn’t be bothered to correct himself.

“Hahaha,” the fat guy laughed loudly and turned to the officials behind him, “Director Li, Mayor Wu, look at this. There’s such an arrogant outsider causing trouble here. Oh, they’re going to throw us to the fish. I’m so scared!”

After laughing, the fat guy said to the people behind him, “Take Director Li and Mayor Wu aside for tea, it’ll be quick.”

Then he ordered his entourage, “Chase them away. Damn it, I don’t believe anyone can be this arrogant here.”

“1, 2, 3,” Luo Ziling was already counting down, and as he said “3”, Wuyue, who had unknowingly returned to the pavilion, stepped forward and threw the fat guy out.

“Didn’t you hear ? Throw them in the water, not throw them around,” Luo Ziling was a bit annoyed that Wuyue just tossed the fat guy among his companions.

Wuyue looked a bit speechless at Luo Ziling but didn’t do more, only coldly ordering those people, “Get out, or we won’t be polite.”

Unexpectedly, it was Luo Ziling’s side who acted first, and it was even a woman who did so, making the fat guy furious.

As he was helped up, he viciously ordered his people, “Beat them, throw all the n in the water.”

After reconsidering, he found it too cruel to throw those beautiful won in the water, so he changed his stance: “Throw the n in, take the won away.”

The fat guy had risen from shady dealings, and though he’d cleaned his act over the years, his innate roughness hadn’t changed.

Being bullied in public, he couldn’t stand it.

Seeing these won so beautiful was eye-opening for him, and his lust began to swell.

The officials trailing behind had no intention of intervening; instead, before the conflict escalated, they chose to ignore and silently walked away.

When the fat guy ordered his n to act, Ouyang Feifei and Ling Ruonan’s bodyguards intervened, quickly taking action and rendering the fat guy’s crew helpless in minutes.

Surprisingly, one man and five won had so many skilled helpers. Even the “experienced” fat guy realized these outsiders weren’t so easy to handle.

But he suffered a great loss today, so he certainly wouldn’t back down quietly.

When Ouyang Feifei and Ling Ruonan’s bodyguards let them get up, not escalating further, the fat guy still arrogantly said, “Alright, you’ve got guts. Just you wait.”

With that, he stord off angrily.

“Why aren’t you following my orders? I told you to throw them in the water, and you didn’t listen?” Luo Ziling questioned the bodyguards angrily, “If you threw them in, they wouldn’t dare be so arrogant. ”

“Okay, Ling’er, don’t escalate things, it’s just a al,” Ling Ruonan frowned, signaling Luo Ziling to sit down and instructed Ouyang Feifei, “Call Ding Zhongming, explain the situation, and make sure it doesn’t get any bigger.”

Ouyang Feifei nodded and gave a knowing look at Wang Qing.

Wang Qing understood and swiftly took out her phone to call Ding Zhongming, briefing him quickly.

Ding Zhongming was shocked when he received the call and imdiately assured Wang Qing he would personally look into the matter.

But while Wang Qing was on the phone, the officials who had slipped away were making their own arrangents.

Before Ding Zhongming could act, the local police who got notified had already arrived at the scene.

They went straight to the pavilion, intending to take Luo Ziling and Wuyue, who had physically intervened, and ask the others to cooperate with the investigation.

Wuyue was also upset and instructed the bodyguards to block the officers from coming in.

The fat guy’s crew, who had been repelled by Wuyue and the bodyguards earlier, ca back with highly provocative words.

Wuyue couldn’t hold back and ordered the bodyguards to act.

This ti, the fat guy and his companions were indeed thrown into the water.

By the ti Ding Zhongming’s call reached the local police chief and he was preparing to co over personally, Luo Ziling’s side nearly clashed with the police.

Thankfully, Yuezhou City was small, and Ding Zhongming arrived at the dining location in just over twenty minutes.

Ding Zhongming stepped in to resolve the small matter, startling the fat guy and the other officials, finally making them realize the sort of people they had clashed with.

With Ding Zhongming’s presence, the fat guy’s people had to admit their bad luck and co over to apologize.

Ding Zhongming repeatedly apologized and assured Ouyang Feifei, Ling Ruonan, Luo Ziling, and Yang Qingyin not to worry, promising to personally look into the matter and provide them with a satisfactory explanation.

However, Ouyang Feifei wasn’t very satisfied with that.

“Mayor Ding, I couldn’t have imagined the public order in Yuezhou is this poor, almost getting attacked by thugs during a al, and the police weren’t on our side. Luckily, we brought enough bodyguards. Otherwise, I dread to think of the outco.” Ouyang Feifei vented and expressed her concern, “I’m genuinely worried such situations might occur again. Can we really feel safe investing in such a place?”

Hearing this from Ouyang Feifei, Luo Ziling instantly understood.

Ouyang Feifei intended to leverage this incident to negotiate for more benefits.

When the conflict was ongoing, Ouyang Feifei remained silent, and Ling Ruonan didn’t intervene, suggesting these two won planned to manipulate this incident for so gain.
