After Luo Liansheng went to sleep, Luo Ziling also returned to his room to freshen up.
Just as he finished his shower and was about to go to bed, Ling Ruonan ca into his room.
“Mom, why aren’t you sleeping yet?” Luo Ziling was a bit surprised.
“I want to talk to you about sothing,” Ling Ruonan approached Luo Ziling, gesturing for him to sit down and talk.
Ling Ruonan must have just showered as well; when she approached, a very pleasant scent wafted over.
She was only wearing pajamas, though the pajamas were a bit thick, hiding the graceful curves of her body.
“Mom, what do you want to talk about?” Luo Ziling also sat by the bed, smiling as he embraced Luo Ziling’s arm, “Are you planning to give so advice?”
“Why would I? You haven’t done anything wrong,” Ling Ruonan patted Luo Ziling’s arm and after a sigh, said, “You must have noticed that Great Grandfather and your grandfather have different attitudes towards you, right?”
Luo Ziling countered, “There’s one thing they’re the sa on, which is continuing to see as the Ling Family’s sharpening stone, right?”
“That’s probably right,” Ling Ruonan nodded, “but your grandfather still sees you as part of the family.”
“Great Grandfather considers the bigger picture; he has to think about matters on a national level and a family level, so his thoughts are definitely different,” Luo Ziling laughed, “I can understand their way of thinking, so regardless, I don’t bla them. Over the years, they have treated you well, so even if they did sothing wrong by , I wouldn’t hold it against them.”
Luo Ziling’s words made Ling Ruonan relax a bit.

“I got it.” Luo Ziling nodded again, then imdiately made a joke, “When dad cos back, you can also plan your wedding.”

After ruminating, he figured out so things he hadn’t understood before; it beca clearer to him that often, when it cos to conflicts of interest, familial bonds really have to take a back seat.
This is the helplessness of life, and an unavoidable reality.
While he was feeling depressed, he received a ssage from Yang Qingyin.
“Junior, are you asleep?”
“Not yet, just lay down, thinking about things.” Luo Ziling replied honestly.
“What are you thinking about?” Yang Qingyin’s ssage had several playful emojis at the end.
“So things that happened today, and by the way, a certain beautiful senior.”
“Which beautiful senior are you missing this much?”
“A certain senior who’s pretending to be ignorant.”
Fearing Yang Qingyin would dwell on what he was thinking earlier, Luo Ziling sent another ssage: “Tomorrow morning, my grandpa and I are planning to go over to help your grandpa with so treatnt.”
“Then I’ll go too,” Yang Qingyin imdiately replied, “Have you talked to my grandpa?”
“I don’t think so.”
“If my grandpa has official duties, he won’t be able to make ti.”
“Then we’ll have to reschedule, for when we’re free and he is too.”
Understanding Luo Ziling’s implication, Yang Qingyin quickly said, “I’ll tell my grandpa’s secretary to arrange it. I guess my grandpa isn’t asleep yet. He’s been sleeping late, dealing with lots of official work lately.”
“Then go tell him!”
“Tomorrow, when your grandpa cos over, will he argue with my grandpa?” Yang Qingyin asked again.
“Probably, I think there will at least be so unpleasantness, perhaps even disputes over so important matters.”
Luo Ziling’s words made Yang Qingyin’s heart sink a little.
