Chapter 1919: Chapter 1919: The Police Arrive

When the Dragon Rise team mber ntioned that Ling Haihang had suddenly died tonight, Luo Ziling was stunned for a while.

“When he was taking a bath in the evening, he wasn’t seen for more than an hour. Ling Haiyang went to knock on the door but got no response, and eventually found him dead in the bathroom.” The Dragon Rise team mber calmly reported the situation and then asked Luo Ziling: “Should we call the police?”

Luo Ziling imdiately responded, “I’ll co over. It will take about twenty minutes to get there. You should call the police in ten minutes.”

The Dragon Rise team mber understood that Luo Ziling wanted to check the situation before the police arrived to avoid falling into a passive position and agreed imdiately.

Luo Ziling rushed out of the bathroom, told his three roommates who wanted to chat with him, “I have sothing urgent to attend to and won’t be back to sleep tonight,” and then dashed into the bedroom.

As he ran out of the dorm, Luo Ziling called Yang Xiaodong.

Upon hearing Luo Ziling’s instructions, Yang Xiaodong promptly stated that he would drive over imdiately to pick him up.

When Luo Ziling reached the school gate, Yang Xiaodong had just arrived.

After getting into the car, Luo Ziling briefly explained the situation, and Yang Xiaodong hurried to the location as fast as possible.

Originally estimating a twenty-minute drive, Yang Xiaodong managed to reach there in thirteen minutes.

Upon their arrival, Wang Zhenjun and several others had already reached the place.

Wang Zhenjun told Luo Ziling that Wuyue was also inford of the news and would be coming soon.

The situation at the Northern Pharmaceuticals building was better than Luo Ziling had anticipated; it hadn’t fallen into chaos despite the occurrence of a fatal incident.

Wang Hanying, Dong Xiaowan, and the others had gone to the pharmacy with Luo Liansheng and hadn’t returned, so there weren’t many people inside the building.

Among the individuals aware of Ling Haihang’s death were two Dragon Rise team mbers along with Ling Haining, Ling Haijun, and Ling Haiyang, all in the sa room.

Ling Haiyang broke into tears, Ling Haining wore a face of grief and rage, while Ling Haijun appeared sowhat despondent.

It seed there had been so conflict among the brothers.

As Luo Ziling brought Yang Xiaodong and those who arrived earlier, including Wang Zhenjun, swiftly upstairs, the extraordinarily enraged Ling Haining yelled at Luo Ziling, “Luo Ziling, you beast worse than scum! How dare you murder a mber of the Ling Family? You’re too ruthless. I await your explanation. Let’s see how you escape the law’s punishnt this ti.”

Turning his fury towards the weakened Ling Haijun, “You disgrace to the Ling Family; you’re also not free from responsibility for Haihang’s death.”

“You fool,” Luo Ziling cursed, “Only soone with a 250 IQ could co to such a conclusion. If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn’t do it here and involve myself in this ss. If I intended to kill you, I could find any place and opportunity, and you’d be done for, saving from such trouble. I’d advise you to recharge your IQ quickly!”

Finishing his words, Luo Ziling ignored Ling Haining and the fuming Ling Haiyang who tried to stand up to scold him, and took Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun into the suite where Ling Haiyang and Ling Haihang were residing.

Ling Haihang and Ling Haiyang had always gotten along quite well, the best among the four descendants of the Ling Family, hence upon arriving here, they shared the sa suite.

Ling Haining and Ling Haijun each had a smaller suite on the sa floor as Ling Haiyang and Ling Haihang.

The door to Ling Haiyang and Ling Haihang’s room was wide open, and the deceased Ling Haihang lay on the ground, devoid of life.

When Ling Haihang’s death was first discovered, people present attempted ergency resuscitation, but Ling Haihang’s life was not saved.

When discovered, Ling Haihang had been dead for quite so ti, with his heartbeat and breath gone, and his body was sowhat stiff.

As Luo Ziling prepared to enter the room, Yang Xiaodong gestured for him to put on gloves and shoe covers.

Yang Xiaodong then instructed Wang Zhenjun to check if there were any abnormalities with the room’s windows and doors, or signs of soone climbing in.

Wang Zhenjun imdiately led a few people to do so.

After donning the gloves and shoe covers provided by Yang Xiaodong, Luo Ziling entered the room.

Ling Haijun and Ling Shaoning, Ling Haihang, and the two Dragon Rise team mbers approached the doorway to watch.

Luo Ziling walked up to Ling Haihang’s body and began inspecting his physical condition.

Yang Xiaodong was checking for other anomalies inside the room.

Luo Ziling, being proficient in dicine and exceptional in his dical expertise, assud the responsibility for examining the body, allowing Yang Xiaodong to focus elsewhere.

After a thorough examination, Luo Ziling quickly discovered abnormalities.

“He died from poisoning—a type quite easily tabolized and eliminated.” Luo Ziling announced loudly to those present, “In about two hours, the toxins in his body will be completely gone. This poison can paralyze the central nervous system, causing heart and breathing problems.”

“Signs of intrusion have been detected.” After checking the room, Yang Xiaodong imdiately discovered anomalies in the bathroom: “This is certainly not an accident; it’s murder.”

Just then, sirens echoed from downstairs; the police had arrived.

The officers quickly rushed upstairs.

A large group of policen convened, instructing everyone present to stay together under their supervision, taking charge of the cri scene.

“Who is the person in charge here?” The leading inspector, appearing stern, asked the attendees.

“I am,” Luo Ziling calmly stepped forward, “I’ve just examined the deceased’s condition, which was caused by a highly decomposable toxin. This toxin paralyzes the central nervous system, and when injected in sufficient quantities, causes respiratory and cardiac problems, ultimately leading to death from breathing cessation.”

“There are signs of outsiders entering,” Yang Xiaodong tily reminded.

Outside inspecting, Wang Zhenjun also ca to report nurous anomalies discovered.

“We are handling this case; we don’t need your instructions,” the deputy police inspector seed insulted, barking at Luo Ziling and others: “We will inspect the scene ourselves as well as the deceased, not needing your interference here. You’re all suspects; wait aside for our directions.”

“Regarding this toxin, I’m more knowledgeable than any of you,” fearing the other wouldn’t recognize him, Luo Ziling promptly introduced himself: “I’m Luo Ziling, widely known from recent traditional Chinese dicine shows; if you follow news programs, you should be familiar with . My understanding of drug efficacy and function surpasses any of you. Plus, I have this!”

Concerned about the police making unfavorable judgnts, possibly influenced to destroy evidence, or tamper with the scene, Luo Ziling directly displayed his credentials from Dragon Rise.

To his surprise, the police hadn’t anticipated he worked for a special departnt. Upon viewing his credentials, the officer’s expression changed abruptly.
