“What do you an?” Luo Ziling asked Lin Lan with a frown, “What are you referring to?”
“Send so descendants of the Ling Family to you and have you discipline them.”
“Are you saying my grandfather is plotting against ?”
“I didn’t say it was your grandfather,” Lin Lan rolled her eyes, “Think about it yourself. Anyway, I feel that soone is definitely scheming against you.”
After so thought, she added, “You might think you’re scheming against others, but you haven’t considered that it might be a trap set by soone else. Don’t forget, the people you’re dealing with now are cunning old foxes. To them, interests are much more important than family ties.”
“I know,” Luo Ziling nodded, “I also believe that this matter will be very complicated.”
“Your grandfather asked you to investigate this case. Have you thought about why he’s doing this? What his purpose is?”
“Why are you suddenly acting like a confidante?” Luo Ziling looked at Lin Lan strangely, “Are you suspecting my grandfather is trying to make a target for everyone? To make my life miserable?”
“Making your life miserable might be an exaggeration, but your grandfather obviously wants to make you a target,” Lin Lan said calmly, “Don’t you think your grandfather is upset about Ling Haihang’s death? “Alright, let’s have a late-night snack!” Luo Ziling didn’t resist and touched her face after Lin Lan released his hand, “After we eat, let’s go back to sleep.”
Lin Lan humd but said nothing more.
After the late-night snack, Luo Ziling didn’t return to his dorm to sleep; Lin Lan went to find Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun.
Because it was late, Luo Ziling didn’t go back to school but went to Ling Ruonan’s villa.
When he returned, Ling Ruonan and Luo Liansheng were already asleep.
As Luo Ziling returned, Yang Xiaodong told him that Luo Liansheng, who had been out for a few days, ca back last night.
Luo Ziling didn’t know if Luo Liansheng ca back because his business was finished, or if he ca back because he had heard about the evening’s events.
Luo Ziling didn’t disturb them and quietly went back to his room to sleep.

“Grandpa, you’re up so early,” Luo Ziling called out loudly to Luo Liansheng as he walked to the garden, “I stayed up late last night and couldn’t get up today. Have you finished all the dicine-making tasks?”
“Not fully complete, I’ll head over soon,” Luo Liansheng chuckled, “Yesterday night, when I heard there was trouble, I ca quickly. It seems it’s not a big deal, just soone deliberately causing trouble. You’ve faced this kind of thing more than once, so you can handle it casually.”
“You hurried back last night?” Luo Ziling was a bit surprised. Grandpa must have heard from Ling Ruonan that things wouldn’t get out of hand, so he was reassured and planned to return to complete the unfinished ‘great dicine-making task.’
“I was at ease, so I ca to check,” Luo Liansheng chuckled, “If it were troubleso, I’d plan to visit Old Ling.”

They might even let the matter beco ssier by doing nothing after killing Ling Haihang. If the truth isn’t uncovered, you’ll be passive regardless of the situation, as well. Our reputation will undoubtedly suffer. The Ling Family’s prestige will also be damaged.
