After Luo Liansheng went upstairs, Luo Ziling signaled Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun to sit and talk.
“What did you discover?”
“We’ve been following Chen Jiahu,” Yang Xiaodong reported in a low voice. “Both Chen Jiahu and his father Chen Yijing have been acting quite unusual lately.”
“You an, they are highly suspicious?”
“Yes,” Wang Zhenjun nodded. “We’ve monitored their recent call records, and based on the communications we’ve analyzed, they seem to be plotting sothing.”
“Tell in detail!” Luo Ziling slightly frowned. “Explain all your suspicions and the information you’ve gathered.”
Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun did not hold back, revealing the information they had gathered over the past few days, along with their thoughts and suspicions about the incident.
From their accounts, Luo Ziling reached a clear conclusion: Chen Jiahu and his father Chen Yijing were likely the culprits behind Ling Haihang’s murder.
Hearing both Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun say this, Luo Ziling fell into deep thought.
After thinking it over, he did not imdiately make a decision but calmly instructed Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun, “Try to contact Lin Lan and see if she has discovered anything.”
“Understood,” Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun nodded simultaneously.
“If it’s confird they are responsible, or if there’s strong suspicion, then capture them and interrogate Chen Jiahu,” Luo Ziling declared. Biting his lip, he added, “If we can get useful information from Chen Jiahu, then we can directly target Chen Yijing.”
Luo Ziling’s idea of directly targeting Chen Yijing left Yang Xiaodong, Wang Zhenjun, and Wuyue shocked.
Chen Yijing’s status wasn’t simple. He and Chen Jiahai’s father, Chen Yining, were brothers, and he was the youngest son of the current Chen Family head, Chen Ruchang. Chen Yijing also held a high position, serving as a deputy in a certain ministry.
According to information Luo Ziling gathered, barring any surprises, Chen Yijing would be promoted to a full position after the upcoming eting.
Taking action against soone of this hierarchy would have very serious consequences, causing both Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun to be sowhat apprehensive.
“Don’t worry, I won’t kill him; I’ll just confront him face-to-face and then escalate this to the Ling Family leaders for them to handle,” Luo Ziling said with a cold smile. “As for Chen Jiahu, he’s brought this upon himself. He killed Ling Haihang, and Ling Haihang’s father, Ling Zhengmin, won’t let him go. We can do him a favor by sending Chen Jiahu to Ling Zhengmin. How it’s handled afterward is not our concern. As long as we get our share of benefits, that’s enough.”
Hearing Luo Ziling say this, Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Without needing too many instructions from Luo Ziling, they knew exactly what needed to be done.
Soon after, the two left.
After Yang Xiaodong and Wang Zhenjun left, Wuyue ca beside Luo Ziling and quietly asked, “Young master, if there’s action, let plan it.”
“Alright,” Luo Ziling nodded. “If you don’t have ti to stay by my side, arrange soone else to be with , to ease my mom’s worries. There are indeed many tasks that require your attention because you can reassure both and my mom.”
Luo Ziling’s words ward Wuyue’s heart, and he imdiately agreed.
“I understand,” Wuyue nodded. “I’ll arrange two people to be by your side; the candidates are already chosen, a man and a woman. If you’re going to school, they’ll accompany you there as well.”
Luo Ziling smiled and didn’t refuse Wuyue’s arrangent. “Alright, go ahead and arrange it.”
“Then I’ll make the arrangents,” Wuyue replied without further disturbing Luo Ziling.
After Wuyue left, Luo Liansheng also ca downstairs from above.
He had taken a shower and changed clothes.
“Fang Xiang just called, inviting us to dinner tomorrow night, and I agreed,” Luo Liansheng said with a smile to Luo Ziling after coming down. “Finished with that business? Then write a calligraphy piece. We’ll give it to him when we visit tomorrow.”
“Okay,” Luo Ziling naturally agreed. “I’ll write Su Dongpo’s ‘Calming the Waves’ then!”
‘Don’t mind the sound of wind rustling through the leaves, just whistle and walk leisurely’ — Luo Ziling liked this poem by Su Shi very much. He thought this was a mindset one only achieves after reaching a certain state of being.
He rembered he had written this poem for others several tis.
For Fang Xiang, he felt this poem was also highly suitable. He believed that people of a certain age would appreciate it.
The poem contained so much life philosophy within it.
He dipped his brush in ink, without any hesitation, and swiftly wrote this famous work of Su Dongpo on rice paper.
After completing it, he solemnly inscribed his own na.
After finishing the calligraphy, he asked Luo Liansheng, “Grandfather, would Sir Fang feel insulted? It’s not your writing, but , the junior, writing for him?”
“No problem,” Luo Liansheng shook his head. “He will understand the sentint. If he wants my writing, he can ask for it directly, and I likely wouldn’t refuse his request.”
There was much implication in Luo Liansheng’s words, and it took Luo Ziling a mont to understand, causing him to smile.
“Pack up, take the written piece, and we’ll go visit your Great Grandfather,” Luo Liansheng instructed Luo Ziling, laughing, “We really do pay Old Ling enough respect by visiting often. It’s about ti we resu his treatnt, otherwise, he might miss the optimal recovery period.”
“Alright!” Luo Ziling readily agreed.
He checked the ti; it was just past four in the afternoon.
At this hour, arriving at the Ling Family Old Mansion should be just in ti for dinner.
Before dinner, he could help Ling Jinhua with treatnt or have a chat with him for a bit.
Before setting out, Luo Ziling made a call to Ling Ruonan, informing her of his and his grandfather’s plan on visiting the Ling Family Old Mansion to see Ling Jinhua.
Luo Liansheng hadn’t told her beforehand, nor did he ntion it when they were preparing to leave, catching Ling Ruonan a bit by surprise.

Luo Ziling asked Wuyue to arrange a car.
Wuyue was surprised, not expecting Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng to be heading to the Ling Family Old Mansion.
Without prior arrangents, he had to personally drive them there, bringing enough bodyguards along.
Fortunately, they encountered no incidents on the way and safely reached the area where the Ling Family Old Mansion was located.
After passing through strict security checks, Wuyue drove to the outside of the Ling Family Old Mansion.
To the surprise of both Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng, Ling Mingrui was also at the mansion.
When he and his grandfather arrived, Ling Jinhua and Ling Mingrui were sitting in the courtyard, chatting over tea.
Seeing them arrive, Ling Mingrui was also sowhat surprised.
Ling Mingrui being there was unexpected for Luo Ziling as well.
