Chapter 1942: Chapter 1942: I Hope You Know What’s Best for You

After receiving a scolding from his father today, Chen Jiahu felt a bit upset and quite unconvinced.

Ever since Chen Jiahai died, he has had his eyes on Luo Ziling.

He understood that, although there was no evidence pointing to Luo Ziling, Chen Jiahai was definitely killed by him.

The sworn enemy of the Chen Family must certainly be eliminated.

However, Chen Jiahu also realized that the death of Chen Jiahai brought him good tidings.

Chen Jiahai was the eldest grandson of the Chen Family and likely to take the position of the family head in the future, with all the family’s resources definitely inclined toward him.

His father, Chen Yijing, was the second son. According to traditional conceptions, he wasn’t the eldest grandson of Chen Ruchang, so everything had to yield to Chen Jiahai. With Chen Jiahai dead, he finally had his opportunity.

Thus, Chen Jiahu even felt a bit “grateful” toward Luo Ziling.

Nonetheless, he understood that Luo Ziling was the one the entire Chen Family wanted to eliminate, and this enmity had to be avenged. To gain the favor of the Chen Family elders and Chen Yining, he undertook the responsibility of “dealing with” Luo Ziling.

Fortunately, Chen Ruchang and Chen Yining remained relatively calm, knowing no major incidents should occur before the two etings, especially since the last case didn’t yield any useful clues. Therefore, they didn’t force him to take targeted actions.

Therefore, in the past few months, his main task was to monitor Luo Ziling’s movents and look for opportunities to strike.

Yet, Chen Jiahu’s father, Chen Yijing, had high expectations of him, hoping he would achieve sothing during this ti when the entire Chen Family shared the sa enemy after Chen Jiahai’s death, to gain more favor from Chen Ruchang and the other elders. Thus, whenever Chen Jiahu perford poorly, he was always scolded.

Being blad by his father, he naturally felt uncomfortable.

Thus, after leaving his father’s residence, he wanted to vent well.

Unexpectedly, he encountered tailing on the road, which startled him.

Chen Jiahu was rather cautious, understanding this was a golden opportunity to gain standing, and enjoynt wasn’t particularly necessary.

Therefore, upon discovering soone was tailing him, he imdiately changed his mind about going to his originally planned entertainnt club, opting to go to a bar instead.

He drank the afternoon away with so friends at the bar, then found a few relatively pure-looking girls to hang out with, feeling quite satisfied.

Although the environnt in the bar differed from that in the entertainnt club, the activities were basically the sa.

Won were their favorite things to play with, be it in a bar or an entertainnt club, they were never lacking.

Today, accompanying Chen Jiahu were two students with very pure appearances, one of whom was even a virgin.

With two beauties by his side, he was very happy.

Afterward, he gave the girl who did this for the first ti twenty thousand yuan, and the other ten thousand.

He invited them to continue accompanying him for the next few days, promising generous rewards each ti, as long as they entertained him well.

Having played too thoroughly, Chen Jiahu felt a bit tired. Though young, going wild with two won for several hours left him sore and achy.

Thus, at half-past nine, he decided to leave, intending to go back to rest.

But what Chen Jiahu never expected was, just as he returned to the boutique apartnt near the first ring, intending to rest well, an unexpected situation occurred.

He took off his clothes and entered the bathroom to shower, only to find a man in black standing there.

Suddenly seeing the man in black face-to-face almost scared him half to death.

He quickly called for help.

But before he could shout out, his mouth was covered by the man in black.

Then a heavy blow ca to his abdon, bringing unbearable pain, and he slumped right down.

As he fell, he lanted inwardly, surely it was Luo Ziling’s n attacking him, he and Luo Ziling were irreconcilable.

However, what happened next, Chen Jiahu was completely unaware of.

When he woke up again, he was already in a different place.

Opening his eyes, he looked blankly at the unfamiliar surroundings and those strangers, unable to react for a while.

Soon after, he saw soone he recognized.

Strictly speaking, soone he didn’t really know, but had seen a few tis.

She was likely the female assistant often seen beside Ling Ruonan, seemingly nad Wuyue.

Seeing Wuyue’s figure, Chen Jiahu imdiately understood what happened.

His heart naturally sank to the bottom.

He completely understood what was going on.

Just, he couldn’t figure out why it was Ling Ruonan sending people to capture him, and not Luo Ziling?

Of course, Chen Jiahu didn’t know Wuyue had already been sent by Ling Ruonan to be responsible for matters beside Luo Ziling.

And Wuyue appearing publicly before Chen Jiahu showed they weren’t afraid of making things big.

“Why have you captured ?” Chen Jiahu certainly wouldn’t relent easily, imdiately struggling, “This is illegal detention, I’m going to call the police.”

But no one paid attention to him.

Only then did Chen Jiahu realize he was tied to a chair, losing the freedom of his hands and feet.

He turned angry, anger overshadowed his fear.

But after struggling and cursing a few tis, the feeling of fear overwheld everything again.

As Ling Ruonan dared to openly kidnap him, it signified they had nothing to fear.

This implied they had evidence, or else they wouldn’t dare act like this.

The thought that his deeds might have been exposed made Chen Jiahu a bit panicked.

He was aware of Ling Ruonan’s viciousness, in Yanjing, few dared provoke her.

She was still the princess of the Ling Family, no woman in the Ling Family had a status surpassing hers, not even Xie Enhua.

Having fallen into the hands of Ling Ruonan, the outco certainly wouldn’t be good, Chen Jiahu felt afraid.

But what Chen Jiahu didn’t expect was, just after he had struggled and cursed madly, he saw a familiar man appear before him.

It wasn’t Ling Ruonan, it was Luo Ziling who kidnapped him—as he saw that man, Chen Jiahu concluded.

Ling Ruonan didn’t act personally, allowing Chen Jiahu to breathe a slight sigh of relief.

But thinking about the possibility that Chen Jiahai might have died by Luo Ziling’s hand, he couldn’t help his knees shaking.

“I’ll give you three minutes to think.” Luo Ziling stepped in front of Chen Jiahu, raising three fingers, “Do you want to honestly explain the problem, or should I stick a few needles in you and let you taste the feeling of living better dead? Think it through so you won’t regret it. I think you should know what we want to find out. You know what you’ve done, don’t play ignorant.”

After saying this with a smile to Chen Jiahu, Luo Ziling walked over to the sofa placed on another side, swaggering as he sat down, picking up the fruit on the table to eat, completely disregarding Chen Jiahu.

“Start the countdown,” Luo Ziling loudly announced after sitting down, “When ti’s up, I’ll get to work.”
