Capítulo 1975: Chapter 1975: Different Attitudes
Ishihara Tarou and Xu Chongzhi returned ho with an extrely unwilling and depressed mood.
When they ca, although ostensibly to apologize for their grandchildren, they actually wanted to compete with Luo Ziling and see who was superior.
They thought they had seized the opportunity, but unexpectedly lost even more.
Thus, both were very depressed.
No matter how you look at it, they are heads of large families.
Though their family’s status couldn’t compare with Huaxia’s Ling Family, Yang Family, and others, they are nevertheless centuries-old established families. As the Family Heads, these two old n are proud because of the century-long heritage and honor of their families.
Being defeated by a young man, they truly didn’t know how to describe their sense of humiliation.
Of course, they were not willing to be defeated by Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan like this, but they were no longer impulsive; often they would wait quietly for an opportunity, even willing to accept losses. Without certainty, they wouldn’t make the sa mistake again.
They’ve even thought that they might not necessarily have the chance to personally defeat Luo Ziling but might place their hopes on their grandchildren.
When Ishihara Tarou and Xu Chongzhi were leaving for ho, Ishihara Naka and Xu Zhiyuan went to see them off.
Both felt their grandfathers’ pent-up frustration, and thus felt an increased pressure on their shoulders.
Ishihara Tarou and Xu Chongzhi didn’t take the sa flight when leaving Yanjing; their flights were spaced forty minutes apart. Nevertheless, Ishihara Naka and Xu Zhiyuan t at the airport and left together.
“We should help each other,” Xu Zhiyuan proactively extended his hand to Ishihara Naka.
“We must help each other, wherever we’ve stumbled, we must rise there.” Ishihara Naka extended his hand and shook Xu Zhiyuan’s firmly.
“A gentleman’s revenge, even ten years won’t be late,” Xu Zhiyuan smiled, “We have ti.”
“Opportunity always favors those who are prepared,” Ishihara Naka smiled as well.
The two shook hands again and then parted ways.
Luo Ziling knew what ti Ishihara Tarou and Xu Chongzhi were leaving, and that Ishihara Naka and Xu Zhiyuan went to see them off, but he didn’t send anyone to follow them.
Since things have already reached this point, with Ishihara Tarou and Xu Chongzhi once again willingly admitting defeat, there was no need to follow them.
Recently, he and his subordinates needed to be a bit more honest to avoid stirring up further trouble.
When Ishihara Tarou and Xu Chongzhi were preparing to leave, Luo Ziling was with Yang Qingyin.
After staying ho for two days, Yang Qingyin returned to school and resud her normal classes.
After class in the afternoon, Luo Ziling went to find Yang Qingyin, wanting to have dinner with her.
Yang Qingyin naturally didn’t refuse, she also wanted to discuss with Luo Ziling her thoughts regarding the events of the past few days.
Thus, the two went to a quiet teahouse near the school for dinner.
The teahouse not only served tea but also offered als, much like dining in a café, which was no longer a novel thing.
After getting a private room, they ordered so food, with the tea being brewed personally by Yang Qingyin.
“It seems the Chen Family is ready to concede,” Yang Qingyin shared her perspective on the recent developnts, “I think they are truly prepared to sacrifice Chen Yijing and his father, with the courage of a brave warrior, to protect things that cannot be lost.”
“Not necessarily,” Luo Ziling wasn’t as optimistic as Yang Qingyin, “I think, between prominent figures, battles never end easily. If soone wishes to fight desperately, a situation of losing a thousand enemies yet suffering eight hundred themselves could very well occur. If a matter reaches a final conclusion, it would surely be the result of compromises from several sides.”
“Then what kind of compromise do you think they will end up making, what kind of result will co about?” Yang Qingyin asked.
“I don’t know, it depends on what your grandfather and my grandfather want to achieve.” Luo Ziling smiled wryly, “Actually, you and I both understand, their desire to investigate the truth isn’t very strong. For them, the truth of a matter isn’t that important.”
“What’s most important is what benefits can be gained, right?”
“Seems not entirely true,” Luo Ziling scratched his head in embarrassnt, “But they surely value benefits the most, wishing for maximum benefits. On this point, I think it can’t be denied.”
Yang Qingyin nodded, “Perhaps, when we reach their age, we’ll have the sa thoughts.”
“Alright, let’s eat first and then drink tea, let’s not discuss these depressing matters anymore. Anyway, we’ve already been relegated to secondary roles, and those elders are playing the lead.” Luo Ziling chuckled, “Today, my grandfather went to check on your grandfather’s health again, I suppose they’ll communicate. When I go ho later, I’ll ask him, he should be able to tell sothing.”
“Mm, let’s not talk about these depressing things, just drink tea and eat.” Yang Qingyin agreed.
After finishing dinner at the teahouse, the two drank tea for a while, Luo Ziling suggested checking Yang Qingyin’s recovery.
Yang Qingyin agreed.
Thus, the two left the teahouse and went to Yang Qingyin’s place.
Upon entering her house, Yang Qingyin couldn’t help but sigh: “I’ve been scolded by my parents for buying this house privately. Sigh, I originally wanted to have my own little place, for quiet tis. Seems like this idea has to be dashed.”
“It’s okay if they know, it’s not a big deal.” Luo Ziling looked indifferent, suddenly recalling sothing, he told Yang Qingyin mysteriously: “Once, your mom told sothing that really shocked .”
“What was it?” Yang Qingyin was a bit curious.
“Your mom said, it’s best if you get pregnant!”
“Ah!” Luo Ziling’s words surprised Yang Qingyin, her face quickly turned red, then she lunged forward, raising her small fists to pound Luo Ziling, “You fool, how dare you say such a thing. I don’t believe it, my mom would never say sothing like that.”
Luo Ziling grabbed Yang Qingyin’s arms, looking at her seriously: “I’m not lying to you, your mom really said that. If you want, you could ask your mom or seriously consider whether she might have implied such a thing.”
Yang Qingyin stopped struggling, following Luo Ziling’s prompt, she thought carefully.
Eventually, she nodded sowhat gloomily, “There really is such a possibility. She really told you that?”
“Yes,” Luo Ziling nodded.
Yang Qingyin looked at Luo Ziling with a bemused expression, “My mom suggested we turn cooked rice into a al, while your mom reminded us not to let things get out of control, asking us to restrain ourselves. Why do their thoughts differ so?”
“I don’t know!” Luo Ziling shook his head.
“It should be, my mom hopes you to be her son-in-law, while your mom isn’t very fond of being the daughter-in-law of the Luo Family, right?”
Yang Qingyin’s analysis left Luo Ziling montarily speechless.
