“Since I arrived in Yanjing, I’ve been pursued countless tis, and it can now be confird that most of it was orchestrated by people from the Chen Family. In the recent incident, I was rely a small pawn caught in the crossfire of these big players’ battles.” Luo Ziling replied with a long ssage, “In their battles, family bonds have long ceased to be important. After sending this ssage, Luo Ziling kept holding his phone, waiting for that woman, who seed to be Chen Xiaoyi, to reply.
But much to his disappointnt, no ssage ca.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Luo Ziling finally couldn’t resist and made a call.
But the call was imdiately disconnected and when he tried again, there was a ssage stating the phone was turned off.
He had no choice but to give up. After thinking for a mont, he edited another ssage and sent it over.
“Everything I’ve done was just for self-preservation; otherwise, it would be who ends up dead. So, the things I’ve done were out of necessity, and I hope you can forgive . If there’s a chance, I’ll co to Europe to see you.”
After sending this ssage, Luo Ziling didn’t wait any longer and simply tossed his phone aside and went to sleep.
The next morning, after a light exercise, Luo Ziling accompanied his grandfather Luo Liansheng to the restaurant downstairs for breakfast.
When they arrived, Ouyang Feifei was also in the restaurant, so they sat together.
“Grandfather Luo, what are your plans for today?” Having recovered to a normal state, Ouyang Feifei proactively inquired about Luo Liansheng’s plans for the day.
“Old Ling should attend an official tea party in the morning. If you want to attend, then join us. In the afternoon, if his health permits, he plans to visit Pudong.” Luo Liansheng shared what he knew with Ouyang Feifei, “Old Ling only plans to stay in Zhonghai for a day because there’s nothing much to do here. Tomorrow morning, he plans to head to Qiantang. On the way back, he intends to stop by Gusu and Yangzhou.”
“Alright,” Ouyang Feifei nodded decisively and said, “I’ll go to the exchange eting with you, and after it ends, I’ll try to negotiate a few things with so officials in terms of collaborations. In the afternoon, I’ll accompany you to Pudong and figure out what to finalize by night.”
Luo Liansheng made no comnts but nodded slightly and continued eating.
“What are you planning to finalize?” Luo Ziling curiously asked Ouyang Feifei.
“Our Lingyun Group already has multiple collaborations with Zhonghai City. We recently discussed a new project, and we want to acquire so land for real estate developnt. These matters need discussions with their departnt heads.” Ouyang Feifei shared her plans and arrangents with Luo Ziling, “I believe this eting should yield so results.”
“If we’re going to Qiantang, are you coming?” Luo Ziling asked again.
“Yes!” Ouyang Feifei replied straightforwardly.
Luo Ziling remained silent, looking at Ouyang Feifei in surprise.
“Don’t misunderstand,” Ouyang Feifei seriously explained, “If I appear with Old Mr. Ling, the officials in Jiangnan Province will significantly value , and we can secure more favorable policies. This benefits both the Ouyang Family and the Luo Family greatly. So, you need to help !”
“Ling’er, the two of you should collaborate well and try to do things perfectly,” interjected Luo Liansheng.
Luo Ziling had to agree, “Alright!”
After breakfast, Huang Chen ca to inform them that soon Old Mr. Ling would attend a tea party held by Zhonghai officials, where he would discuss so matters with the main leaders of Zhonghai.
He hoped that Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng could attend and escort Ling Jinhua.
Of course, Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng wouldn’t refuse and said they would definitely participate.
Luo Ziling asked Huang Chen if Ouyang Feifei could attend the tea party as part of the entourage. Huang Chen hesitated for a mont but eventually nodded in agreent. So, Ouyang Feifei returned to her room to prepare, while Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng also made so preparations.
The eting was held at the hotel where Ling Jinhua was staying to avoid causing him more travel fatigue.
Before Ling Jinhua’s stay, the hotel was temporarily controlled, and apart from accompanying personnel and security, no other guests were accommodated.
Of course, this arrangent was made without alerting Ling Jinhua. If the old gentleman knew, he would certainly have objections, as he didn’t want his travels to disturb the normal lives of others.
Due to holding the tea party, with many important figures attending, the security asures were further upgraded, and everyone entering the venue was subjected to strict inspection. Luo Ziling, Luo Liansheng, and Ouyang Feifei followed Huang Chen into the venue and were also required to undergo routine inspections.
They didn’t act special; instead, they cooperated proactively.
The tea party started promptly at nine in the morning.
The main leader of Zhonghai City first gave a speech, warmly welcoming Ling Jinhua to Zhonghai for an inspection, and humbly asked for criticism and guidance from this veteran leader.
Who would have thought that Ling Jinhua would directly interrupt the main leader’s speech, saying that everyone’s ti is valuable, and he was on a private trip, so many work-related matters need not be reported to him. He only wanted to hear about Zhonghai City’s achievents in construction over the years and its future developnt.
This statent left Zhonghai’s leaders looking at each other, as it essentially required them to report on their work.
However, they didn’t question it and earnestly accepted the criticism.
The leaders of Zhonghai City stopped following their usual script and directly addressed the issues without the dullness of a written speech.
They reported on the achievents in Zhonghai City’s developnt over the years, the existing problems, what needed improvent, and their future plans. After the report, they asked Ling Jinhua for further instructions.
Ling Jinhua didn’t refuse and jokingly ntioned he was pushed onto the stage today, then shared so of his views.
He shared his negative impressions of Zhonghai City on a few points: first, Zhonghai is too crowded, and traffic jams are everywhere. This was what he saw upon arriving in Zhonghai yesterday, which was his biggest dissatisfaction. He hoped Zhonghai’s leaders would focus more on facilitating the public’s travel, so that commuting doesn’t take hours. The second point was that housing prices in Zhonghai are too high, making it unaffordable for many people, which needs careful consideration; further, Zhonghai’s construction overly focuses on high-rise buildings, with cultural and natural environnt construction lagging behind, having a gap compared to Qiantang. He specifically emphasized that this isn’t an issue with the natural environnt but with the leaders’ mindset.
Ling Jinhua didn’t affirm Zhonghai’s construction achievents but instead pointed out multiple issues, filling many with alarm and anxiety.
They realized Ling Jinhua was not very satisfied with Zhonghai’s main leaders, which was evident from his behavior today.
