Capítulo 2020: Chapter 2020: All Soldiers Who Fight for the Nation Are National Heroes
About twenty minutes later, Luo Ziling saw the Humr driven by Lin Lan.
However, this car she was driving did not have military plates, but a regular license plate instead.
What surprised Luo Ziling was Lin Lan’s outfit today.
Lin Lan is a soldier, but Luo Ziling rarely saw her in military uniform, only two or three tis in his mory.
Moreover, during those tis, Lin Lan was just wearing the military uniform without a military hat.
But today, she was dressed very formally, fully attired in a crisp major’s officer uniform, and her hat was neatly worn.
It’s a pity she didn’t wear a military belt or carry a gun, otherwise, she would have looked even more dashing.
Seeing Lin Lan stepping out of the car, Luo Ziling quickly went up to her.
“Co ride with !” Lin Lan said to Luo Ziling without any expression, “My car is bigger!”
Luo Ziling looked at the rcedes-Benz SUV Wuyue was driving and then at Lin Lan’s Humr. He finally made a tough decision, “I’ll ride with you then. Didn’t you have sothing to tell ? Just let know on the way, and let their car follow behind us.”
“Alright!” Lin Lan did not refuse Luo Ziling’s arrangent. After agreeing, she simply got back into the car.
Luo Ziling walked back to Wuyue’s car, explained the situation to Yang Qingyin, and after gaining their consent, he returned to Lin Lan’s car.
Unlike her usual driving style, Lin Lan didn’t drive crazily today; instead, she drove very smoothly.
She drove the car in front; Wuyue drove the car behind her, followed by another car carrying bodyguards.
“There are so more black materials related to the Yang Family, do you want them?” After starting the car, Lin Lan got straight to the point, “There are so related to Chen Yijing, Chen Yining’s black materials, and both Chen Yihe’s and Chen Yiping’s.”
“Yes, of course!” Luo Ziling was overjoyed upon hearing this. “I need any black materials you have.”
“What about your mother’s?”
“Those too!” Luo Ziling was startled for a mont but still nodded. “I want to destroy her black materials. You gave so last ti, is there still a lot left?”
Lin Lan nodded, “So I’ve already destroyed; the ones left are relatively unimportant.”
“Thank you so much!” Luo Ziling gratefully thanked Lin Lan, then curiously asked, “Why are you dressed so formally today?”
Lin Lan ignored Luo Ziling’s change of topic and continued, “I also have so black materials on other people, I’ll give them all to you.”
“Have you been collecting these things all this ti?” Luo Ziling seed surprised.
“Collected so along the way,” Lin Lan said in a nonchalant tone, “These can all be used as evidence.”
“That’s great!” Luo Ziling was a bit excited, “They’ll definitely co in handy in the future.”
Lin Lan nodded, then said, “Your father’s appointnt has been confird. He will take up his post in a few days.”
“Yes,” Luo Ziling expressed his confusion as to why Lin Lan was bringing this up, so he asked, “Why? Don’t you want him to co?”
“If he finds out about our affairs and can’t tolerate it, what should I do?” Lin Lan turned to look at Luo Ziling with a hint of resentnt, “Maybe, he will rcilessly remove . A new official, eager to make changes, might cut off so people.”
“Don’t worry, he definitely won’t make it difficult for you,” Luo Ziling said firmly, “He’s past the impulsive age; he thinks things through carefully before doing anything. Besides, my mother and I will explain the situation to him. You’re a qualified special forces soldier, injured many tis for the country. He has no reason to target you.”
“I hope so,” Lin Lan sighed and said no more.
“Are you very worried about this?”
Lin Lan nodded, “Maybe one day I’ll leave Dragon Rise, and I hope to leave with honor, not disgrace.”
“I will definitely help you fulfill that wish!” Luo Ziling reached out his hand to Lin Lan.
Lin Lan hesitated for a mont but eventually released her grip from the steering wheel and shook Luo Ziling’s hand firmly.
“You look really handso in the military uniform. You’re probably the most eye-catching one today,” Luo Ziling teased Lin Lan, asking the question he’d asked before, “Why are you wearing the military uniform today? To show respect?”
Lin Lan nodded, agreeing with what Luo Ziling said.
Luo Ziling didn’t ask further, choosing instead to stay silent.
The Anti-Japanese War morial Hall is located inside Wanping City, by the Lugou Bridge. It’s the only large-scale comprehensive morial dedicated to reflecting the history of the Anti-Japanese War in the country.
Anyone with so historical knowledge knows that on July 7, 1937, sothing shocking happened by the Lugou Bridge, marking the official start of the full-scale war. Known as the “Lugou Bridge Incident” or “July 7 Incident,” this historical event greatly impacted history, marking the formal beginning of a comprehensive war. Eight years later, on August 15, 1945, the Huaxia military and civilians, after paying a very heavy price, finally ushered in the great victory of the War of Resistance – a history no Huaxia person should forget.
In front of the morial Hall is a large square with a “Lugou Awakening Lion” monunt symbolizing Huaxia’s awakening at its center. On either side of the square are seven grass plots, symbolizing the July 7 Incident and the fourteen years of the war.
After getting out of the car, the group solemnly walked to the July 7 Incident monunt and presented prepared chrysanthemums.
Lin Lan, in front of the giant monunt inscribed with “July 7, 1937: Commorative Place of the Outbreak of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance,” saluted the monunt and the national flag with a formal military salute to show her respect.
Wuyue and Xiaoli both served in the military, and Zhu Yijun, Shi Yidan, and the other two bodyguards who accompanied Luo Ziling, were also veterans. Seeing Lin Lan salute, they stood upright, facing the direction of the national flag, and saluted the monunt, morial hall, and national flag.
Yang Qingyin stood next to Luo Ziling, solemnly looking ahead.
Luo Ziling took out his phone, captured a side photo of Lin Lan and the others saluting, and took a few more shots of the monunt, morial hall, and national flag. He posted them on his Weibo and shared them in his friend circle.
“Qingming Festival, visiting the Anti-Japanese War morial Hall to rember the heroes who sacrificed in the fight for the nation. In the war to defend the country, those soldiers who died resisting the invaders will live forever. Regardless of their formation, as long as they fought for the country, those Huaxia soldiers are National Heroes, the backbone of the nation, and they deserve our eternal reverence. Watching the soldiers and forr soldiers around salute, my blood can’t help but boil. A few days ago, I visited the Massacre morial Hall, and today I’ve co to the Anti-Japanese War morial Hall, feeling an overwhelming sense of emotion. If I had lived in that era, I would be willing to fight for my country and offer everything I have.”
This reflection from Luo Ziling was not false; it was a true reflection of his feelings.
Of course, he also wanted to gain so reputation on such a special occasion, to enhance his image and make it more grandiose.
