Luo Ziling left Lingyun Film and Television first, intending to et up with Ling Ruonan to visit Ling Mingrui together.
It was natural that Luo Yuqing couldn’t go; she wasn’t related to Ling Mingrui, and accompanying Luo Xusheng would only make things awkward.
Besides, she had matters to attend to, so she didn’t leave with Luo Ziling.
Upon leaving, Luo Ziling received ssages from Cheng Binbin, Yang Ying, and Zhao Lijing.
Cheng Binbin and Yang Ying’s ssages were quite similar; they asked if Luo Ziling had ti today, and if so, they wanted to et him privately.
Zhao Lijing also wanted to et Luo Ziling, but she ntioned in her ssage that she just wanted to discuss the shooting of the public service advertisent with him.
Luo Ziling replied to them, saying he was busy these two days and would reach out when he had ti.
The three won each replied separately.
Cheng Binbin was the quickest to respond, saying she would contact Luo Ziling in a few days and hoped to have more opportunities to receive his guidance and collaborate in filming. Yang Ying’s response was that she had so ideas and suggestions for the company’s developnt and wanted to discuss them with Luo Ziling.
Zhao Lijing’s ssage was relatively plain; she said not to disturb Luo Ziling for now, and she would contact him after he finished his work, or if he thought of her, he could find her, as she could definitely arrange ti.
Luo Ziling didn’t bother with them anymore.
After leaving Lingyun Film and Television, Luo Ziling headed straight to the Northern Group.
Ling Ruonan’s new assistant, Jin Yan, led him into the CEO’s office.
To Luo Ziling’s surprise, he saw Li Jing in the CEO’s office.
After Li Jing assud her role as head at Lingyun Group, Luo Ziling seldom saw her.
He didn’t see her at Lingyun Film and Television today either and assud she had gone elsewhere, not expecting to et her at Ling Ruonan’s place.
After warmly exchanging greetings, Li Jing explained her movents for the day.
She said she had agreed with Ling Ruonan in the morning to report her work in the afternoon.
Unexpectedly, she received a call from Luo Yuqing at noon, saying that she and her brother were coming to watch a film.
Li Jing ultimately chose to report her work to Ling Ruonan, but she had arranged the matters on the other side as well.
“I wondered why I didn’t see Mrs. Li in the company today.” Luo Ziling joked as he sat down on the sofa, teasing Li Jing, “I originally wanted to see Mrs. Li today, but didn’t, feeling a bit bumd.”
“They didn’t tell you I went out?” Li Jing laughed, “Yuqing should have known I ca here.”
“She didn’t say, and I didn’t ask.” After saying this, Luo Ziling vaguely felt sothing was off.
Why didn’t Luo Yuqing tell him that Li Jing, the person in charge, wasn’t there?
Additionally, why wasn’t Chu Ming, the representative sent by Fang Dongxun, at the company either?
However, in Ling Ruonan’s presence, he didn’t ask this question.
Li Jing had almost finished reporting her work and, after chatting idly for a while and discussing so film-related matters, got up to leave.
After Li Jing left, Ling Ruonan smiled and said to Luo Ziling, “With Li Jing there, there’s basically nothing to worry about over there.”
“Mom, are you a bit dissatisfied with what Yuqing has been doing?” Luo Ziling directly inquired.
“Not dissatisfied,” Ling Ruonan shook her head, “She’s just too young, lacks experience in many things, especially in managent aspects. So, letting Li Jing handle more affairs can spare you so troubles. Yuqing often has a lot of ideas, but doesn’t consider practical issues. It’s always inevitable to encounter such problems when young.”
Although Ling Ruonan spoke implicitly, Luo Ziling could still taste a hint of dissatisfaction from her words.
That is, Ling Ruonan wasn’t very satisfied with what Luo Yuqing was doing, so she instructed Li Jing to handle more matters to avoid trouble for the company.
After thinking it over, he said a few words in Luo Yuqing’s defense, “Mom, isn’t Yuqing still in school? She has to manage school matters and focus on her academics, so it’s understandable that so things might be overlooked. As for Lingyun Film and Television’s affairs, it’s better to let Li Jing take more responsibility.”
“I understand!” Ling Ruonan smiled, not saying much more.
Soon after, she told Luo Ziling to wait a bit, saying they could leave once she finished her current task.
Luo Ziling sat quietly, not disturbing Ling Ruonan.
Ling Ruonan called Jin Yan in to give so instructions.
Jin Yan stayed in the office, assisting Ling Ruonan with work.
When they finished, it was almost 4:30 PM.
Ling Ruonan asked Jin Yan to tidy up as she prepared to leave with Luo Ziling.
“Where’s my dad? When is he coming over?” Luo Ziling curiously asked Ling Ruonan, “He’s not too busy to co today, is he?”
“He’ll wait for us at the parking lot shortly, and we’ll go together.” Ling Ruonan glanced at the wall clock, smiling, “He should be quite punctual, likely waiting down there by 4:30.”
When Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan took the dedicated elevator down to the parking lot, they indeed saw Luo Xusheng waiting there.
Seeing Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan approaching, he got out of his car and walked towards them with a smile.
“Let’s go!” Ling Ruonan softly said to Luo Xusheng, “My father should be ho earlier today; by the ti we get there, he should be ho.”
Luo Xusheng didn’t say much, just nodded slightly in acknowledgnt.
Rather than taking the luxury car gifted by Ouyang Feifei, the three chose Ling Ruonan’s previously used special-plate Audi A8.
Wuyue drove, with Luo Ziling sitting in the passenger seat.
Along the way, Ling Ruonan and Luo Xusheng chatted intermittently, with Luo Ziling remaining silent.
At this hour, traffic was not too congested, and the convoy soon arrived at Ling Mingrui’s villa.
Luo Xusheng brought gifts, filling the car trunk to the brim.
Once the car reached Ling Mingrui’s villa, Luo Xusheng called Luo Ziling to help carry the things.
Hearing the noise, Xie Enhua ca out to greet them.
Ling Ruonan quickly stepped forward to say hello.
Luo Xusheng also paused what he was doing, following Ling Ruonan to Xie Enhua’s side.
After holding back for a while, he finally stiffly called out, “Mom!”
Xie Enhua responded happily, then invited them inside to sit.
Ling Ruonan asked Luo Xusheng and Luo Ziling to co inside, leaving the staff to handle the items.
Luo Xusheng followed Ling Ruonan inside, while Luo Ziling assisted the staff in retrieving the items from the trunk.
While carrying the items, he explained to Xie Enhua that these were gifts from Luo Xusheng, insisting she must accept them.
Xie Enhua couldn’t stop smiling, but she said, “Why bring so many gifts when it’s just a al?”
“It’s only right; how can a son-in-law visit his mother-in-law without bringing gifts?” Luo Ziling chuckled, then whispered to Xie Enhua, “Grandma, do you think Grandpa might scold my dad later?”
“Probably not, right?” Xie Enhua was a bit surprised by Luo Ziling’s question but responded uncertainly, “A rare visit shouldn’t lead to scolding!”
But, to Xie Enhua’s surprise, just as she finished speaking, they heard Ling Mingrui’s voice scolding Luo Xusheng from the living room.
