Upon seeing Lin Lan, Luo Ziling asked with a frustrated face, “What’s wrong?”
“I’m planning to apply for retirent.” Lin Lan calmly told Luo Ziling, “You better be ready to take in!”
“Why?” Luo Ziling was surprised.

“Is it because of my dad?” Luo Ziling certainly didn’t believe what Lin Lan said, asked quietly, then continued, “Even if you want to retire, you have to tell the real reason.”
“There’s no other reason, I just don’t want to do it anymore.” Lin Lan looked down, her little face full of stubbornness.
“Don’t rush, wait a few more days, see how things go in the next few days, okay?” Luo Ziling placed his hand on Lin Lan’s shoulder and said softly, “There’s definitely a period of adjustnt between people; it might get better in a few days.”
Luo Ziling recounted the events of that evening, including the things he discussed with Luo Xusheng, to Lin Lan.
Lin Lan was quite surprised by what Luo Ziling said.
“Did you guys argue?” she asked Luo Ziling softly.
“Not exactly an argunt, but my dad, you know, he tends to be stubborn, thinking he’s really amazing,” Luo Ziling said with a bit of displeasure, “But what he doesn’t realize is, taking a position in Yanjing, compared to leading troops in Tibet or working in Jinling, is entirely different. Here, he’s not just a commander, but also the son-in-law of the Ling Family, my mom’s husband, my father. Relatively, being the person in charge of Dragon Rise isn’t that important. “What’s wrong?” Luo Ziling asked softly after a brief pause.
But Lin Lan just shook her head gently without saying much.

Lin Lan’s change of heart made Luo Ziling relieved.
“Alright, in another month, you can tell your answer.” Luo Ziling, caressing Lin Lan’s face, smiled and said, “I really like how you look in your military uniform. Very handso, particularly spirited. I think you might be reluctant to take it off too!”
“Then let’s pretend I didn’t co to see you tonight, I’ll co back to tell you my decision during your sumr break.” Lin Lan returned to her usual self, saying seriously, “If by then I decide to retire, I’ll go to the Northwest with you guys and conquer Tianshan.”
“Okay!” Luo Ziling agreed without refusing, “If you really retire by then, then let’s go to Tianshan together.”
“I’m leaving then!” Lin Lan stepped back two steps, ready to leave.
But as she was about to leave, she seriously asked Luo Ziling, “If I leave Dragon Rise, how do you plan to arrange for ?”
“What would you like to arrange for you?” Luo Ziling tossed the ball back to Lin Lan.

Watching Lin Lan leave, Luo Ziling couldn’t help but swallow.
