Chapter 2145: Chapter 2145: Luo Ziling, I’m Going to Kill You

After Ling Zhengping was promoted, he still lived in the sa place.

The place where he lived was a very upscale community, where all the residents were people of considerable status.

In other words, even if you have money, you may not be able to buy a house there; you must have a certain level of status to possibly move in.

In Huaxia, there are many such places, most cities have them.

Moreover, the different locations within the community accommodate people of varying levels.

The row house of Ling Zhengping’s family was at the edge, a very excellent location.

Like many officials, Ling Zhengping did not only have one residence; he owned several properties, all of which were luxury hos.

The difference between him and those officials was that the money for buying the houses was all his own; not a single penny resulted from corruption.

In fact, to people like Ling Zhengping, money is almost not important.

They never lack money, and the dividends received by the family each year are very substantial.

A direct descendant of the Ling Family like Ling Zhengping could buy a one hundred square ter house in Yanjing with one year’s dividends.

This is an open secret, and the descendants of the major prestigious families in Yanjing have similar dividends, and they are plentiful.

Financially, they will not have any problems, and trying to strike them in this way is impossible.

Ling Zhengping mostly stayed in the row house in this community.

His ho was not only lavishly decorated but also had a very secure security system.

Not only was their ho like this, but the situation was similar in other households as well.

In short, living here, there is never a need to worry about security problems.

But accidents always appear unexpectedly.

A phrase used by so philosophers to describe unexpected events in life—nothing cannot happen—sotis feels very fitting.

After finishing a day’s work, Ling Zhengping didn’t return ho until eight in the evening. Both his wife and son had gone out, and after hearing the report from the housemaid, Ling Zhengping didn’t say much and went to the study to drink tea on his own.

After the promotion, Ling Zhengping’s work beca much busier, and he often didn’t return ho until after midnight. On days when there were events, it was possible for him not to co ho for several days in a row.

Days like today, when he returned ho so early, were not many.

With his wife and son not ho, Ling Zhengping also enjoyed the peace and planned to hide himself in the study for a while, quietly drinking tea and relaxing.

He had too many matters to deal with these days, and he wanted to achieve so notable results to make others, including his own father Ling Mingrui, take notice. As a result, he spent most of his energy on work. This was exhausting, and on the way ho in the car, he was drowsy and almost fell asleep.

After arriving ho, he wanted to relax, letting his tensed brain loosen up.

But just as he instructed the housemaid to boil water for tea, the bookshelf in the study near the wall suddenly collapsed without any warning. Caught off guard, Ling Zhengping couldn’t dodge in ti and was pinned under the falling bookshelf.

Everything happened so suddenly, Ling Zhengping didn’t even have ti to call out.

The bookshelf was quite heavy. When it toppled over, although most of it was held up by the desk, it still pressed down on Ling Zhengping.

About a third of the bookshelf, along with many books inside, landed on Ling Zhengping’s body.

Books fell like a torrent, enveloping him completely.

He let out a wretched scream before passing out.

The housemaid, who had just brought in tea, was so frightened by the sudden incident that she was half-dead with fright, and the teapot in her hand fell to the ground.

Boiling hot water splashed mostly onto her feet and legs, and she too let out an earth-shattering scream.

Instinctively jumping and bouncing about, she frantically patted her own leg, trying to brush away the scalding water.

This also resulted in her hands getting scalded.

However, the housemaid’s situation was slightly better than Ling Zhengping’s, as at least she could move.

Enduring the excruciating pain from the burns, she struggled to the phone table, picked up the receiver, and dialed the numbers of the mistress and Ling Zhengping’s son, Ling Haining.

Ling Zhengping’s wife Wu Yanning, upon receiving the call from the housemaid, hearing her pathetic sobbing while reporting the situation, was scared stiff. She imdiately left a shopping companion behind and hurried ho as fast as she could.

When Ling Haining received the housemaid’s call, he was sowhat incredulous.

Soon, he received a call from his mother Wu Yanning, only then did he believe sothing had happened at ho.

He didn’t dare to delay and rushed back as soon as possible.

The mother and son almost returned ho at the sa ti.

Upon arriving, they were horrified to see Ling Zhengping trapped under the bookshelf and surrounded by a sea of fallen books, and the housemaid, whose legs were scalded, was unable to move. Seeing Ling Zhengping lying motionless, in an uncertain state of life or death, nearly caused the mother and son to collapse in fear.

Ling Haining’s reaction was relatively calm. After a brief mont of panic, he quickly thought to rescue Ling Zhengping from beneath the wreckage first.

He imdiately rushed over, frantically tossing aside the books weighing down on Ling Zhengping.

Wu Yanning also went over to help.

While they were fumbling and busying themselves, security personnel responsible for safety also rushed into the room and helped mother and son lift the bookshelf and save Ling Zhengping.

Wu Yanning and Ling Haining had, at one point, forgotten about the Ling Family’s assigned security personnel who could be of assistance.

On their way back, neither of them thought to let those people enter the house to rescue Ling Zhengping.

Panic-stricken, they lost their composure.

The injured housemaid was sothing they naturally did not have ti to attend to.

Ling Zhengping was hit on the head and abdon by the fallen bookshelf and its contents, in addition to the vital areas below.

The unbearable pain from severe damage to the vital areas ultimately caused him to pass out.

But overall, thanks to the desk, no fatal injuries were sustained.

However, his head being struck heavily by several hardbound books and his lower body being hit harshly by the edge of the cabinet was still problematic.

He felt symptoms akin to a concussion, with nausea and a desire to vomit.

He was unsure whether his manhood was hard—this was what Ling Zhengping was most concerned about.

He was still young, just past fifty, and maintained his male prowess; if lost, it would be truly tragic.

“Luo Ziling, I will kill you!” In feeling the severity of his injuries, Ling Zhengping angrily roared this sentence.
