A rare eting ended unpleasantly.
After hearing Luo Ziling’s words, Yang Yunlin angrily left.
Yang Qingyin and Chen Qiaoyu looked awkward.
“It seems my guess was right!” Luo Ziling was a bit embarrassed too. “My dad ca over just hoping Mr. Yang would stop his hostile actions, not make things difficult for or take action against . But he took it as a threat, as a provocation.”
Chen Qiaoyu sighed, “I’ll talk to him when we get ho. Hopefully, he’ll understand and won’t do anything impulsive, or it’ll hurt the peace again.”
Yang Qingyin remained silent, and didn’t say anything upon hearing Chen Qiaoyu’s words.
Chen Qiaoyu stood up, “Mom originally wanted to bring you so good food, but since your dad is free to co over now, I ca with him. Otherwise, I wouldn’t go back, I’ll stay for dinner with you today. I’ll go to the market to buy so ingredients, and I’ll cook for you all. Let Xiaoli and Wuyue join us too; the more, the rrier. By the way, let’s invite Wang Zhenjun too.”
Chen Qiaoyu knew about Wang Zhenjun pursuing Ye Xiaoli, and she hoped they could beco a couple.
“Wang Zhenjun is busy with sothing and probably can’t co!” Luo Ziling declined Chen Qiaoyu’s invitation on Wang Zhenjun’s behalf but accepted the request to dine together tonight: “I’ll be here with Qingyin tonight to taste Auntie’s cooking, let’s invite Qingye too.”
“Sure!” Chen Qiaoyu agreed with a nod.
It was already around three o’clock in the afternoon, and Chen Qiaoyu was planning to go buy ingredients at the market.
Yang Qingyin asked Ye Xiaoli to accompany her, and Ye Xiaoli, who was talking with Wuyue, imdiately agreed and went along with Chen Qiaoyu.
Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin were the only ones left in the room.
“I seem unable to change my impulsive nature!” Sitting at Yang Qingyin’s bedside, Luo Ziling said with a bitter smile.
“Alas!” Yang Qingyin sighed, “I don’t even know what to do!”
At this mont, Luo Ziling’s phone rang. Seeing it was Ling Ruonan calling, he quickly answered. “Mom!”
“Ling’er, is your dad coming back today? Co ho for dinner together.”
Having just agreed to have dinner at Yang Qingyin’s place, Luo Ziling hesitated when Ling Ruonan called.
Yang Qingyin heard Ling Ruonan’s voice and looked over instantly.
“Mom, how about I co over after dinner? Qingyin’s mom just ca over and said she would cook dinner for us, and I agreed with her. I also want to do another check-up and treatnt for Qingyin later.” Luo Ziling truthfully explained, and jokingly teased Ling Ruonan a bit: “Are you having a romantic dinner just the two of you tonight?”
“Okay!” Ling Ruonan paused for a mont before replying, “Then you stay there and have dinner with them. If convenient, co back afterward!”
“Alright!” Luo Ziling breathed a sigh of relief.
“Your mom seems upset!” After hanging up, Yang Qingyin said softly.
“It’s nothing, just giving them so private space!” Luo Ziling didn’t mind, “It’s rare to enjoy your mom’s cooking, such an opportunity shouldn’t be missed.”
Yang Qingyin smiled bitterly and didn’t say anything more.
Soon, summoned by Yang Qingyin, Yang Qingye arrived.
He seed excited that his mother was willing to let Luo Ziling have dinner here, especially after his father ca over.
“Sis, does this an dad and mom approve of you being together?” He sat beside Yang Qingyin on the bed and whispered.
“They just had a fight!” Yang Qingyin pointed at Luo Ziling.
“Actually, they didn’t fight!” Luo Ziling smiled, “I just told so truths. I guess if your father thinks about it later, he might understand. I’ll talk to Sir Yang about it another ti, I’m sure he’ll see things clearer than your father.”
Yang Qingye looked at Yang Qingyin and then at Luo Ziling, finally deciding not to say anything.
Before long, Chen Qiaoyu returned with groceries and seed cheerful seeing Yang Qingye co over too.
While the mother and children talked, Luo Ziling received a call from Luo Yuqing.
“You brat, have you gone missing these days? Or has so woman dragged you off to so remote place?” As soon as the call connected, Luo Yuqing started cursing, “You didn’t even send any ssages, I can’t find you anywhere!”
“Isn’t this call enough to find ?”
“Where are you?” After venting, Luo Yuqing cald down, “I have sothing to talk to you about!”
“Now’s not a good ti. I’m busy until eight tonight, and after midnight, I’m unavailable too!”
“Annoying!” Luo Yuqing responded angrily, “Fine, I’ll find you after eight. Co to Lingyun Film and Television. If you don’t co, I’ll cut off your little JJ!”
“Luo Yuqing, stop being disgusting, okay?” Luo Ziling got angry, “Can’t you be a bit pure as a girl?”
“Not bothered with you!” Luo Yuqing hung up abruptly.
Luo Ziling was left speechless and amused.
Chen Qiaoyu’s cooking skills were quite good, at least enough to please Luo Ziling.
Yang Qingyin and Yang Qingye, having eaten their mother’s cooking a lot, didn’t find it particularly special.
“Auntie, your dishes are really delicious!” Luo Ziling praised Chen Qiaoyu in front of everyone.
“If you like it, feel free to co over often!” Chen Qiaoyu invited cheerfully, “I’ll be accompanying Qingyin frequently in the upcoming days. Co and have als whenever you’re free.”
“Alright!” Luo Ziling agreed naturally.
After dinner, Luo Ziling prepared to leave, stating he’d visit Yang Qingyin again after finishing so tasks.
Yang Qingye didn’t expect Luo Ziling to leave imdiately after dinner, imagining he might have a date with another girl, and felt a bit dissatisfied.
“Brother-in-law, don’t abandon my sister to go romp around!” He shouted in front of Chen Qiaoyu and Yang Qingyin.
Yang Qingyin instantly blushed with anger and ordered Yang Qingye to shut up.
Chen Qiaoyu was very surprised that Yang Qingye called Luo Ziling “brother-in-law.”
Being rebuked by his sister and with his mom looking at him in astonishnt, Yang Qingye could only smile awkwardly and followed Luo Ziling’s lead to leave.
When Luo Ziling returned ho, Ling Ruonan and Luo Xusheng had already finished dinner, and even cleaned up the dishes.
Ling Ruonan was making tea, and as Luo Ziling ca in, he snatched the freshly brewed tea from her hands with a cheeky smile, “Mom, give it to ! You make another cup!”
Seeing Luo Ziling’s behavior, Ling Ruonan glared at him and said crossly, “No manners at all!”
Luo Ziling didn’t care, sitting next to Luo Xusheng with the tea in hand and quietly asked, “Dad, did you go over today to give an ultimatum?”
Luo Ziling shared his speculations and told the story of the confrontation with Yang Yunlin.
Ling Ruonan and Luo Xusheng were surprised to hear Luo Ziling had already clashed with Yang Yunlin today.
“Your guess was almost accurate!” Luo Xusheng nodded, “But I don’t know what Yang Yunlin’s reaction will be. Maybe he’ll act recklessly!”
“Why?” Luo Ziling was shocked.
“Yang Yunlin wants his father to die early, so he can quickly beco the Yang Family Head, and he’s even done so things for that,” Luo Xusheng said blandly, “And Yang Yuanshan has already started noticing!”
Luo Xusheng’s words shocked both Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan.
