Wang Zhengqiang and Luo Ziling chatted about many things, and finally talked about the new academic disciplines at Yan University and the current operation of laboratories.
He saved this topic for last and specifically reminded Luo Ziling a few tis, hoping he would be diligent and responsible in his tasks, manage these things well, and achieve results—of course, this was a barely concealed approach.
Luo Ziling understood, but he still treated today's visit to Wang Zhengqiang as reporting progress on the new academic disciplines and laboratory construction.
After detailing the report and assuring results, he suggested taking his leave.
Wang Feiyang left with him.
As they got into the car, Wang Feiyang suddenly exclaid that her phone was missing.
After searching for a while without finding it, she suddenly rembered it might have been left in Wang Zhengqiang's office.
Luo Ziling advised her to go back to get it while he waited in the car.
About fifteen minutes later, Wang Feiyang returned.
"The phone was set to vibrate, so I didn't hear it ring when I called, but after searching for a while, I found it in the gap of the sofa," Wang Feiyang explained, patting her head, "I've been as busy as a dog lately, so dizzy and often forgetful."
"Just don't forget your intelligence!" Luo Ziling mocked.
"Annoying, how can you say that!" Wang Feiyang playfully hit Luo Ziling and then looked at him exasperatedly, "I've helped you with so many things, yet you show no gratitude. A month or so without seeing each other, and you're still avoiding after coming back."
Luo Ziling replied irritably, "Your dad is already reminding to work hard. Can I slack off? If anything goes wrong, I'll have to deal with the consequences."
"With so many seniors assisting you and the school's strong support, many excellent teachers lecturing other basic subjects, what's there to worry about?" Wang Feiyang said casually, "Lately, after interacting with those seniors and professors from elsewhere on traditional dicine, I've realized the differences. Those people look down on these seniors, humph, but your seniors are the real experts."
"Anyway, not many among the new students will graduate, and it's not easy to beco a disciple of these masters."
Wang Feiyang didn't refute Luo Ziling's words, accepting what he said.
Back at school, Wang Feiyang didn't go about her own business. Instead, she followed Luo Ziling into the office.
"Why did my dad call you over today, what's the real reason?" she asked knowingly.
Luo Ziling glanced at Wang Feiyang and replied irritably, "Just to convey a ssage, wanting everyone to know he won't let Chen Ruchang off."
"What's your take on this?" Wang Feiyang pressed further.
She had wanted to ask Luo Ziling about these matters on the way but refrained from doing so in front of others, so she finally asked when they were alone.
"Making mistakes cos with a price, wanting to do sothing also cos at a cost, nothing is simple," Luo Ziling said, flashing a mysterious smile.
Wang Feiyang paused, pondering before understanding Luo Ziling's aning.
However, she simply nodded lightly without asking further.
She didn't stay with Luo Ziling any longer, went off to handle her tasks.
Luo Ziling also went to organize things.
While busy, Li Jinhui's call ca in.
Li Jinhui asked if Luo Ziling was at school, if so, to co to his office to discuss so matters.
Luo Ziling ditched his tasks and went to Li Jinhui's office.
Wu Mingyun was also there.
Luo Ziling wasn't at all surprised, greeting the two instructors before sitting on the sofa.
Li Jinhui directly asked about Luo Ziling's current teaching preparation status.
He knew Luo Ziling had just returned from the Northwest, which he was quite concerned about.
The sumr was spent by Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng in the Northwest.
Teaching preparations had been handled by student Wang Feiyang, and though other seniors were busy, Li Jinhui wasn't certain about the situation.
Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng reassured him, but he remained sowhat anxious about others due to unfamiliarity.
Luo Ziling cheerfully reassured Li Jinhui and Wu Mingyun that there's nothing to worry about with these top traditional dicine experts on board; everything would be fine. Hearing this confidence, Li Jinhui was sowhat relieved.
He inford Luo Ziling that once all new traditional dicine students were enrolled, he and Wu Mingyun would personally preside over the freshman assembly.
To signify the importance placed on this new discipline.
Luo Ziling expressed gratitude for Li Jinhui and Wu Mingyun's emphasis, naturally saying, "Just wait for the surprise!"
"If there's a surprise, we'll surely comnd you!" Li Jinhui laughed.
The three did not discuss other topics, and after a few idle chats, Luo Ziling left.
After a busy afternoon, close to the end of work, Ling Ruonan called, asking if Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng would return for dinner tonight.
Ling Ruonan's call to inquire specifically made Luo Ziling realize there was sothing to discuss, so he agreed to return for dinner.
After work, Luo Ziling declined Wang Feiyang's invitation for a al and returned ho with Luo Liansheng.
When Luo Ziling got ho, Ling Ruonan was already back, busy with Wuyue in the kitchen. Seeing Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng return, Ling Ruonan handed over the kitchen duties to Wuyue and ca out to talk to Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng.
"Chen Ruchang hasn't been discharged," Ling Ruonan imdiately moved onto the topic after sitting down, "It seems the illness has had a recurrence."
Ling Ruonan's words made Luo Ziling's heart skip a beat, experiencing a bit of uncontrollable excitent.
"This is the only report available." Ling Ruonan handed an MRI report to Luo Ziling.
Luo Ziling took it and saw the report indicated: a nodular shadow in the senteric lymph nodes, clinical judgnt is needed.
The radiologist didn't provide a specific diagnosis, but after reading it, Luo Ziling breathed a sigh of relief.
It appears Chen Ruchang's surgery wasn't completely successful; so lymph nodes weren't entirely cleaned, or post-surgery, tumor cells started replicating, affecting other areas.
This is surely the reason why Chen Ruchang continues to stay in the hospital.
If everything were normal, having been hospitalized for over a month, he should be able to be discharged.
"In any case, Chen Ruchang continuing to stay in the hospital shows the illness hasn't improved." Luo Liansheng took the report, glanced at it, chuckled, saying, "Western dicine diagnosis is indeed straightforward, often without definitive conclusions, but showing suspicion ans things aren't going well."
"At least, he's unable to co out and continue handling affairs!" Ling Ruonan smiled slightly, "If he needs to stay in the hospital for a longer ti, others will certainly take over his responsibilities."
Ling Ruonan's words suddenly enlightened Luo Ziling about sothing.
