September 1st, the day for registration at the beginning of the new school term.
The once quiet Yan University campus beca lively again.
Though the weather was hot, everything was full of vitality.
Freshn registration would be a few days later, so only returning students were registering on September 1st.
Luo Ziling's dorm mates, Cao Jianhui, Li Fuming, and Wu Longjiang, were all back at school, but their applications to transfer departnts had been approved. So for the coming year, they would no longer study clinical dicine but instead attend classes with the new traditional dicine students enrolled this year.
The newly introduced traditional dicine courses were all part of a four-year undergraduate program.
That ans, even if Cao Jianhui and the others switched majors, their graduation ti would still be the sa.
When setting up the new major, soone suggested making these new majors five-year programs as well, but Luo Ziling and Luo Liansheng rejected it.
Actually, they felt that three years was about right.
Of course, reaching a very high level may not be possible even after ten years of study.
But improving dical skills can't be achieved in school.
Just like the five-year clinical dicine program, the truly useful knowledge for dical students mainly cos from the internship period.
The knowledge from textbooks only enriches your theory, but to combine theoretical knowledge with practice and transform it into actual dical skills, you have to do it yourself. This is true in modern dicine, let alone traditional dicine, which relies more on practice.
In four years, at least two should be spent in practice, and school classes should account for less than half.
Understanding of dicinal herbs must be gained in the wild.
Many practical activities for traditional dicine students need to be conducted in nature.
Of course, all these things were planned long ago. The old fellows brought in by Luo Ziling have taught so many disciples, many of whom have beco well-known; they have a wealth of experience.
After Cao Jianhui and the others ca back, they naturally stuck to Luo Ziling, asking him to take care of them.
Luo Ziling, of course, had to look after the three guys in his dorm.
The three guys had chosen different majors, with each picking a different one.
Thus, Luo Ziling planned to appoint them as class leaders, to help manage students. Even though these three were a bit quirky, they were capable and, more importantly, had been at Yan University for a year, so they knew everything at the school.
Cao Jianhui had been the class leader before, and after serving for a year, he had gained quite a bit of experience; managing students would be no problem.
Entrusting them with important tasks, the three guys were naturally happy.
But Cao Jianhui wasn't satisfied and quietly asked Luo Ziling if these traditional dicine majors would eventually form their own school.
If they did form their own school, would there be a chance for him to get a position as the student council president of the school?
"Get lost!" Luo Ziling, not in the mood to entertain Cao Jianhui, kicked him aside: "Are people from official families so obsessed with becoming officials?"
"A good starting point is equivalent to half success." Cao Jianhui said shalessly, not caring at all: "Both my parents are officials, so naturally, I should follow in their footsteps."
Luo Ziling ignored him.
But Cao Jianhui didn't tactfully leave and instead shalessly asked Luo Ziling about his parents.
Luo Ziling gave him another kick and said angrily, "I encountered such a big problem in the Northwest, almost died there, and you didn't even have a word of concern?"
"Didn't I send so many ssages, and who didn't respond to even one?" Cao Jianhui looked aggrieved, "Couldn't get through on the phone either, yet you bla us."
"The signal was just bad there."
"We were worried sick, but thankfully later learned you were okay. Otherwise, we would've rushed to the Northwest to rescue you."
"That's enough!" Luo Ziling looked disdainful, "You think with your nearly 200 pounds you could rescue anyone?"
Cao Jianhui was instantly deflated, looking like he wanted to fight Luo Ziling: "I'm only 180 pounds, not 200. And I'm very agile, more so than the other two. More importantly, I'm still a virgin, pure and untainted…"
"Get lost!" Luo Ziling laughed, "Do you really have the face to say that?"
"Of course I do!" Cao Jianhui said proudly, "But this year, I'm going to shed the title of little virgin and catch up to you."
After fooling around for a while, Cao Jianhui again quietly asked Luo Ziling about his parents.
Luo Ziling told Cao Jianhui that this sumr break incident might involve many people and that there might be suitable positions opening up.
As long as there's an opportunity, he would definitely help, but Cao Jianhui must be patient and not rush.
Hearing this, Cao Jianhui was very pleased and shouted that tonight he would treat Luo Ziling to a feast, to celebrate his survival from a great disaster, and for "future blessings," they must celebrate well.
While Cao Jianhui shouted, Wang Feiyang happened to overhear and imdiately wanted in on the eating and drinking.
Later, Dong Xiaowan also found out, and volunteered herself, demanding Cao Jianhui treat her as well.
With two beautiful won proactively joining, Cao Jianhui certainly wouldn't refuse and readily agreed.
Luo Ziling also called over Luo Yuqing and Yang Qingyin, so the group for the celebration beca quite large.
Because potential rivals like Wang Feiyang and Dong Xiaowan were present, Yang Qingyin consciously assud the role of Luo Ziling's girlfriend and stayed by his side. Wang Feiyang and Dong Xiaowan seed used to this situation and didn't mind, continuing to eat and drink happily.
Though these beautiful won were there to be admired and not played with, their beauty averaged to campus belle level, making Cao Jianhui and his friends quite pleased.
The three n secretly took photos and posted them on social dia to boost their image.
For Luo Ziling, hanging out with his dorm mates was when he felt most relaxed, able to joke around and have fun without worrying about anything. The past period had been too heavy for him, with too much ntal burden.
Today, he finally set all worries aside, fooling around with them, and had a great ti.
After dinner, Cao Jianhui suggested going out to sing. Luo Ziling didn't refuse, so the large group headed to an entertainnt club and booked a room.
But unexpectedly, trouble arose when they went to sing.
It wasn't that Luo Ziling and his friends were looking for trouble, but soone noticed the beautiful girls they had with them, got jealous, and ca over to flirt.
And with hot-tempered people like Wang Feiyang, Luo Yuqing, and Dong Xiaowan there, conflict broke out almost imdiately.
The young n eying Luo Yuqing and the others were probably people of so standing and didn't care when scolded by them, showing a tough stance.
So, the conflict occurred just like that.
