“My other assistant,” Ling Ruonan also introduced Li Jing’s identity with a smile but didn’t explain any further.
Luo Ziling had already guessed that Li Jing’s accompanint to Yanjing was arranged by her, so there was no need for her to say so.
Ouyang Feifei didn’t know what was going on, but she tactfully asked nothing, just standing there quietly.
She recognized Li Jing and knew well the important position this confidante held beside Ling Ruonan.

As she spoke, she signaled to a bodyguard to take the gift she had prepared out of the car.
Ling Ruonan didn’t reject Ouyang Feifei’s friendly gesture, happily accepting the gift brought by Ouyang Feifei and inviting her into the house.

Although the last plane incident was arranged by Ling Ruonan, Luo Ziling was still very grateful to this enthusiastic and beautiful young lady.

Wuyue prepared tea for the three of them and then disappeared from sight.

Luo Ziling hadn’t expected Ruonan to ask him that question before they had discussed it, and after thinking for a while, he still shook his head, “I think I need to ask Grandfather’s opinion. Most of the prescriptions and secret dicines are his masterpieces; I’ve concocted very few myself.”
“Then we can start by promoting the dicines or prescriptions you’ve developed,” Ouyang Feifei said to Luo Ziling before turning to Ling Ruonan, “Mrs. Ling, this is what I’m thinking. We could collaborate by having Ziling contribute his prescriptions or formulas for secret dicines as his share in the subsidiary pharmaceutical companies of the Lingyun Group or letting your Northern Group increase its shares in the pharmaceutical businesses under Lingyun Group. Or alternatively, we can establish a new pharmaceutical subsidiary.”
“We’ll discuss this further,” Ling Ruonan didn’t respond to Ouyang Feifei, knowing the hesitation in Luo Ziling’s heart, she wasn’t in a hurry to make a decision.
After saying this, she smiled and added, “President Ouyang, why don’t you stay for dinner tonight?”
The offer tempted Ouyang Feifei, but she still shook her head, “I’d better go back, I promised Grandfather that I would spend Mid-Autumn Festival with the family, and I’ve promised to have a drink with him tonight.”

“Alright, then take care,” as Ling Ruonan stood up, ready to escort Ouyang Feifei out, she added, “President Ouyang is always welco to visit again.”
“Just call Feifei from now on,” Ouyang Feifei said with a smile as she got up to leave, “Otherwise, it’s too formal.”
Ling Ruonan smiled and nodded.
After seeing Ouyang Feifei out with Luo Ziling, Ling Ruonan took Ziling’s hand and walked back to the living room.
Once seated, Ling Ruonan looked at Luo Ziling with a gaze full of affection and softly asked, “Did you see what Ouyang Feifei is trying to do by behaving this way?”
Luo Ziling didn’t fully understand the aning behind Ruonan’s question, and he stood there dumbfounded.
Ling Ruonan dropped her smile and said seriously, “She can’t accept being rejected by you.”
“I know that,” Luo Ziling said awkwardly, “It was a blow to her pride.”
“Now that you’re hanging out with Yang Qingyin, she feels even more humiliated,” Ruonan said, a playful smirk appearing on her lips, “So, she’s subtly trying to get close to you, looking for ways to change your perception of her, and ultimately, to make you like her. She can’t accept being rejected by you, can’t stand being despised by us, and doesn’t want to lose to Yang Qingyin, that’s why she’s behaving this way.”
Hearing Ling Ruonan’s explanation, Luo Ziling was utterly astonished.
