Luo Ziling slipped out of the auditorium first, seizing the chance to find a secluded spot before the crowd got too thick, and called Yang Qingyin again.
The call went through, but Yang Qingyin didn’t answer, which left Luo Ziling feeling quite dejected.
After making two calls with no success, not seeing any response to his ssages, Luo Ziling had a bad premonition.
After thinking for a bit, Luo Ziling decided to call Yang Qingye.
Yang Qingye’s phone was picked up right away.
“Brother-in-law, has the performance ended?” Yang Qingye’s hearty voice ca from the other end of the line, “How was your act? And how did my sister’s go?”
“Your sister didn’t go on stage for the comndation. I can’t get in touch with her and don’t know where she has gone,” Luo Ziling asked anxiously, “Can you reach her?”
Upon hearing this, Yang Qingye was imdiately startled, “Really? Didn’t she say she had an act? We also have a welco party tonight, otherwise, I definitely would’ve co to support. Let try to contact her.”
Luo Ziling paced restlessly in the dark, phone in hand.
About five minutes later, Yang Qingye called back.
“Brother-in-law, I got hold of her,” Yang Qingye spoke in a hushed tone, “she seems upset. What did you do to make her angry?”
“Not a thing,” Luo Ziling replied, although he had guessed the reason, he still maintained an innocent deanor, “I finished my performance and was waiting to watch hers, but she never showed up. I’ve ssaged her, called her, but can’t find her. Where is she?”
“She’s already gone ho,” Yang Qingye wasn’t entirely convinced by Luo Ziling’s words and prodded more softly, “Sothing must have happened between you two tonight; otherwise, it wouldn’t be like this.”
“Okay,” Luo Ziling had to spill it out, “When I was on stage, a lot of girls were shouting ‘Luo Ziling, I love you’ from below, and so ca up to give flowers, including Ouyang Huihui.”
When Yang Qingye heard this, realization dawned on her, “That’s the crux of it. My sister must be angry about this, which is why she doesn’t want to deal with you. Figure out a way to console her yourself.”
“It’s not my fault,” Luo Ziling was full of grievances, “If I had known this would happen, I wouldn’t have perford at all.”
“Brother-in-law, if my sister is angry, it must be serious. You’d better figure out a way to make it up to her,” Yang Qingye spoke earnestly to Luo Ziling, “Try calling her again later or send a WeChat ssage; she shouldn’t keep ignoring your calls or refusing to reply to your ssages.”
“Fine,” Luo Ziling no longer felt any good cheer.
After hanging up, just as Luo Ziling was about to send another ssage to Yang Qingyin, a call ca in. It was from Yang Qingyin. Stunned for a mont, he quickly answered.
“I didn’t hear your calls earlier,” Yang Qingyin said calmly as soon as the call connected, “I had to go ho because of so matters, I was on the bus, and my phone was in my bag, so I didn’t hear your ssages.”
Caught off guard by Yang Qingyin talking as if nothing had happened, Luo Ziling was taken aback and found himself at a loss for words.
“I have so things to do at ho this weekend, let’s talk about the Great Wall trip so other ti,” noting Luo Ziling’s silence, Yang Qingyin continued, “Your performance today was spectacular, and you’ll soon beco Yan University’s most popular male god, congrats. “Alright,” Luo Ziling finally found his voice, adding an explanation, “Actually, I didn’t know Ouyang Huihui would co up to give flowers, I was caught off guard!”
“This is the treatnt you deserve,” Yang Qingyin still said in a calm voice, “There will be even more girls who will fall for you in the future, congratulations to you. I’m hanging up, good night.”
“Alright, good night!” Luo Ziling said, hanging up the phone with a gloomy mood.
What he didn’t expect was that after saying good night, Yang Qingyin didn’t hang up the phone imdiately. When she heard the call ending tone, she was stunned for a mont. “This bastard actually hung up first,” Yang Qingyin looked at the phone screen that displayed the call had ended and felt a surge of annoyance inside.
However, at that mont her car really had driven near her family’s villa, and after sighing, she stuffed the phone into her bag.
The driver, Ye Xiaoli, said nothing, just smoothly parked the car in front of the house.
“Miss,” Ye Xiaoli whispered a question as Yang Qingyin got out of the car, “Are you really staying at ho this weekend?”
“We’ll see,” Yang Qingyin replied listlessly and walked up the steps.
Ye Xiaoli didn’t say anything else and ducked back into the driver’s seat, driving the car away.
When Yang Qingyin entered the living room, she saw her parents, Yang Yunlin and Chen Qiaoyu, sitting on the sofa chatting.
Seeing her return, Chen Qiaoyu imdiately stood up, smiling as she approached, “Qingyin, you’re back?”
“Mm,” Yang Qingyin lightly responded, then asked Yang Yunlin, “Dad, why the urgency to call back today? Is there anything you need to instruct?”
Today, while attending the evening gala, Yang Qingyin received a phone call from her mother, Chen Qiaoyu, asking her to co ho imdiately.
After so thought, Yang Qingyin ultimately gave up the chance to perform on stage and left the auditorium early, letting Ye Xiaoli take her ho.
Of course, the most important reason she gave up performing was not the phone call from her mother asking her to co ho. It was the situation that occurred during Luo Ziling’s performance. Ouyang Huihui brazenly went on stage to present flowers and hugged Luo Ziling, who later even hugged Luo Yuqing.

Upset by what happened at the gala, coupled with her mother calling her ho urgently, she was in a bad mood, and when Luo Ziling sent her ssages and called, she couldn’t be bothered to respond. However, she didn’t expect Luo Ziling to have Yang Qingye call to inquire about her situation.
