Chapter 453: This is the Style of the Greats

After finishing breakfast, Luo Ziling also parted ways with Yang Qingyin, each heading back to their respective dormitories.

When Luo Ziling got back to the dormitory, the other three guys were just getting ready to get out of bed.

Seeing Luo Ziling return so late in the morning, they all reacted with surprise and started to exclaim.

“Boss, you’d better not deny that you stayed at a hotel last night,” Cao Jianhui looked at Luo Ziling with a lecherous smile, “You have a strong fragrance of a woman on you, very nice. Is it Goddess Yang or Goddess Ouyang?”

As a result, Cao Jianhui’s comnt earned him a heavy slap on the head from Luo Ziling, which made him cry out in pain.

“Boss, you really do have the scent of a woman on you,” Wu Longjiang, who had jumped down from the upper bunk, moved closer to Luo Ziling and sniffed, giggling, “It really slls good; I’m intoxicated!”

After saying that, Wu Longjiang quickly slipped into the bathroom to avoid a beating from Luo Ziling.

“What do you want to say?” As Li Fuming climbed down from the bed and also wanted to co over to sll him, Luo Ziling grabbed him by the chest and lifted him up, threatening fiercely, “Spit it out quickly if you have sothing to say!”

Li Fuming, with his feet off the ground and body suspended in the air, hurried to struggle.

After struggling free from Luo Ziling’s grip, he darted away with a giggle, teasing Luo Ziling further, “I won’t say that the womanly scent on you slls nice, nor will I join them in saying that you definitely stayed with a woman last night.”

Luo Ziling almost burst out laughing from irritation but eventually ca up with a la excuse to explain his whereabouts the previous night, “I was at my mother’s place last night, helping her with so massage treatnts.”

“Who would believe that,” Cao Jianhui hung his head and said mockingly, “When did a mother pop up for you? Isn’t your hotown in the Northwest?”

“My mom is in Yanjing,” Luo Ziling thought for a mont, then pulled up a side view photograph of Ling Ruonan from his phone and showed it to the three guys, “This is my mom. She’s in Yanjing. I go there often. My mom is pretty good-looking. I’ll take you guys out for dinner soti to et her.”

It was after Luo Ziling said this and showed them the photograph that the suspicions of Cao Jianhui and the others were slightly alleviated.

“Alright, get ready for class, you haven’t had breakfast, right? You’re going to be late!” Luo Ziling smiled, “In the future, I might often visit my mother’s place, so don’t be surprised. She works hard, and I need to go over there and help her with massage treatnts.”

“Okay, we believe you,” Cao Jianhui, seeing Luo Ziling speak sincerely, finally believed him, but still teased him with a comnt, “But we would still prefer to think you went off to a hotel room with so goddess.”

Once again, he received a kick from Luo Ziling and quickly ran away.

What surprised Luo Ziling was that at noon, just when they were about to go to the cafeteria to have lunch, the cardiologist expert Li Mingxun whom he had t the day before actually ca to the school looking for him. And he was accompanied by the Dean of the dical Faculty, Wu Mingyun.

“Ziling, hello,” Li Mingxun took the initiative to extend his hand to Luo Ziling and said with a smile, “Your Dean was my classmate back in the day. We slept in bunk beds. Today I asked him to accompany in coming to find you.”

Luo Ziling had only seen Dean Wu Mingyun at the new student orientation and the welco party, but he had never interacted with him.

He quickly stepped forward to greet him, “Dean Wu, good day.”

Wu Mingyun, wearing glasses and exuding the temperant of a scholar, shook Luo Ziling’s hand firmly and smiled, “Director Li told that yesterday you used dicine you prepared yourself, combined with your family’s traditional dical skills, to successfully pull Mr. Wang back from the Grim Reaper’s grasp. He’s quite curious, and I’m very surprised as well. We ca here today to learn more about your ancestral dicine.”

Luo Ziling hesitated a bit. In fact, he was reluctant to share too much about his family’s dical practices, as many things were difficult to explain and inconvenient to discuss.

For instance, the famous “Taiyi Divine Needle” alongside Burning Mountain Fire and Piercing Sky Cooling acupuncture skills – many people don’t believe such techniques could yield such effective results, especially those trained in Western dicine. Treating with ‘qi’-guided needles appeared to so like a circus act, and since ‘qi’ is sothing intangible and invisible, not even modern devices can detect it, thus making it hard to explain clearly. Especially in recent years, as traditional dicine declined and many labeled Chinese dicine as pseudoscience, the advancent of Western dicine further marginalized traditional practices.

Luo Ziling knew the renowned physicians of today were mostly those practicing Western dicine. Famous practitioners of traditional dicine existed only among the folk, often lacking formal recognition. Moreover, in the public eye, renowned Chinese doctors were usually very old, because Chinese dicine relies heavily on experience. At his age, few would believe he possessed such formidable dical skills.

Li Mingxun seed to notice Luo Ziling’s hesitation and explained with a smile, “Ziling, don’t be nervous. We just want to discuss the efficacy of your ancestral dicine and the principles behind your needling technique. Many years ago, I encountered an amazing Chinese dicine practitioner just like you, nad Luo Liansheng. Mr. Luo’s superb dical skills amazed . I learned a lot from him and managed to save many lives as a result. eting another traditional healer surnad Luo today feels like fate to .”

Upon hearing that Li Mingxun knew his grandfather, Luo Ziling was greatly surprised.

He could no longer refuse to engage with these two dical authorities.

The students and the teacher who had been in the classroom left, so the three of them sat down in the empty space to discuss the treatnt Luo Ziling had provided for Mr. Wang the day before.

Li Mingxun was a renowned expert in cardiology, and Wu Mingyun was also an authority on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. If people knew that these two famous experts were proactively seeking dical insights from a first-year undergraduate student, they would be astounded.

“Luo Liansheng is my grandfather,” Luo Ziling volunteered his family background, “I’ve been studying dicine with him since I was a child.”

“No wonder,” laughed Li Mingxun, “I always thought you resembled Mr. Luo Liansheng. When I ca here today, I even ntioned to Dean Wu that you might be a descendant of Mr. Luo.”

“No wonder, no wonder,” Wu Mingyun also echoed with admiration, “Turns out you’re a descendant of Mr. Luo; it’s no surprise that you’re exhibiting such remarkable abilities, even just as a first-year student who has not yet begun to learn real dical skills.”

Hearing Li Mingxun respectfully refer to his grandfather as ‘teacher’, Luo Ziling couldn’t help but feel a bit proud.

It seed that his grandfather had quite a reputation and had impressed many people back in the day.

“What I don’t understand,” Li Mingxun asked, puzzled, “is why, given your grandfather’s excellent dical skills back then, is he even more impressive now, yet he let you co to study Western dicine?”

Wu Mingyun was also visibly curious.

Luo Ziling could answer this question with ease by now, and imdiately responded, “Integrating Chinese and Western dicine, taking the strengths from each to compensate for the weaknesses, only then can one truly achieve greatness as a healer.”

Luo Ziling’s answer deeply moved the two dical authorities.

“This is indeed the deanor of a master!”
