Chapter 617: Chapter 617: The Distinctive Blockhead

The lecturers in the afternoon were a chief physician from Hospital 402 specializing in cardiothoracic surgery and a professor from Yanjing People’s Hospital’s cardiology departnt.

Both guest lecturers were academic authorities who had published many articles in dostic and international journals, with a significant number of papers accepted by SCI, carrying a high degree of influence.

During their lectures, everyone in the audience listened attentively, with the majority taking notes, creating an excellent learning atmosphere.

Luo Ziling found the lectures fascinating because he was interested in these topics. When it ca to dical matters he hadn’t mastered, he was quite intrigued, unlike his experience with calculus and Marxism-Leninism, subjects he didn’t understand.

Ouyang Feifei wasn’t interested in these topics and didn’t understand them, but out of respect for Luo Ziling and the two dical authorities lecturing, she listened carefully through one class. She didn’t attend the second class, choosing instead to rest in the outside reception room.

She only returned when the second lecture had finished, and Luo Ziling was preparing to go on stage to speak.

For all the male attendees, Ouyang Feifei’s presence was a dose of interest.

Luo Ziling also had a significant pull on the female guests; many won took advantage of the break between lectures to approach him, seeking his contact information.

The enthusiasm from the won directly scared Luo Ziling away. He managed to escape their entanglent by excusing himself to use the restroom.

When Luo Ziling went on stage to lecture, he successfully recaptured the attention of all the won.

Many were curious about what this young man, who looked green and was very young, would talk about.

After being invited to the stage by Li Mingxun, who gave him another introduction, Luo Ziling walked up with confident strides.

Standing at the lectern, facing the scrutiny of nearly a hundred pairs of eyes, Luo Ziling showed no signs of stage fright.

“Today, everyone present is an authority in the dical field, with impressive research achievents in various areas. And I am just a freshman who has just entered Yanjing dical College,” Luo Ziling began modestly, exposing his inexperience before shifting his tone, “However, I have a grandfather who is exceptionally skilled in dicine. Many years ago, Dean Wu of Yanjing dical College and Director Li of the affiliated hospital both sought my grandfather for dical knowledge and treated him as a teacher.”

At this point, Luo Ziling spoke loudly into the astonished gaze of everyone present, “I say this, actually, to gild my own face, in the hopes that no one will look down on , and not boo off the stage while I lecture. If I don’t say these things, perhaps many people would disdain to listen to my class. If you think I’m naïve, then please show understanding and forgiveness with your applause! And if you think I’m thick-skinned, feel free to laugh at with your applause!”

Before Luo Ziling could finish, the entire audience burst into laughter, followed by warm applause.

“This youngster is quite amusing,” soone quietly comnted.

“A self-assured handso young man, I like him,” a middle-aged woman with stars in her eyes said, snapping pictures of Luo Ziling with her phone and imdiately posting them to her social circle. “Sister has found the feeling of love again today, a young man who made my heart flutter at first sight. Why didn’t he appear in my life twenty years earlier?”

“An ignorant little brat, why would the organizers arrange for such a greenhorn to give a lecture?” Naturally, this was the grumbling of a man. Luo Ziling was too handso and had overshadowed everyone, and his companion was so beautiful, causing many to be jealous.

Luo Ziling ignored the laughter from the audience and continued, “When my grandfather asked to enter dical college, I was puzzled and asked him: Grandfather, you are already so skilled in dicine, and I have almost received your true teachings, so why do I need to attend dical college? He said that both traditional Chinese dicine and Western dicine have shortcomings and deficiencies. For instance, many diseases require surgical treatnt for a cure, which other thods might not fully resolve. But so illnesses cannot be successfully treated with Western dicine either, especially so chronic and lingering diseases. Let’s take a simple example. If soone had a stiff neck from sleeping the wrong way last night, Western dicine may not be effective, but if treated with traditional Chinese acupoint kneading or acupuncture, it might be relieved in just a few minutes.”

At this juncture, Luo Ziling paused and asked the audience, “Does anyone have muscle stiffness or pain caused by sleep or other factors? If so, I can treat you right now, guaranteeing imdiate relief within minutes.”

“I do,” a woman in her thirties imdiately stood up as soon as Luo Ziling stopped speaking. “The beds here are too soft. I had a stiff neck from sleeping and I can’t move it.”

After this woman raised her hand and stood up, two other people also stood up, indicating that they too had stiff necks from sleeping, making it difficult to turn their heads.

Luo Ziling promptly stepped down from the podium and perford a simple acupoint kneading on the three individuals.

Strangely enough, after his kneading, all three felt imdiate relief and no longer experienced muscle stiffness.

But Luo Ziling wasn’t satisfied with just kneading for the three individuals. As he approached a middle-aged man in his fifties, he said with a smile, “If I’m not mistaken, sir, you have muscle tension and paralysis caused by nerve conduction blockage. Would you like to give you acupuncture treatnt? I assure you that there will be a significant change after one session of acupuncture.”

At that mont, Li Mingxun, who had been following Luo Ziling, recounted how Luo Ziling had treated Mr. Wang from the dical college, ntioning that the acupuncture skill Luo Ziling used was known as Burning Mountain Fire.

“I am sowhat skeptical and concerned you might make things worse,” the middle-aged attendee expressed his worry but quickly added, “However, seeing that even Professor Li speaks so highly of you, I am willing to give it a try.”

“Then, let’s start,” Luo Ziling didn’t hesitate, took out his treatnt instrunts, sterilized them in front of everyone, and then began treating the middle-aged man under the watchful eyes of the whole audience.

“It’s truly miraculous, I can feel a warm flow circulating inside my body, very comfortable,” the middle-aged man couldn’t help but express his amazent during the treatnt.

By the ti Luo Ziling finished the treatnt, he was surprised to find that his fingers, which previously had limited mobility, could now move quite freely. This not only amazed the middle-aged man himself but also shocked several individuals who were familiar with his condition.

It was truly a miracle!
