Chapter 619: Chapter 619 She’s Quite Proud

(Third Update)

Eventually, it was Li Mingxun, who was chairing the afternoon session, who stood out to put an end to the quarrel.

“Over the past period, traditional dicine may not have developed ideally, but it is not pseudoscience, as it has been inherited for thousands of years and has saved countless lives in Huaxia. So theories are just outdated or not very scientific. In fact, many so-called scientific theories aren’t necessarily scientific either, at least there are currently too many things that cannot be scientifically explained.”

After smoothing things over, Li Mingxun pointed at Luo Ziling and went on, “Also, I can’t yet find a so-called scientific explanation for his treatnt thod. The ‘Qi’ in traditional dicine can’t really be explained with Western dical concepts, but it does exist for sure.”

Seeing the audience quiet down, Li Mingxun continued, “Anyway, let’s listen to Ziling finish what he has to say. If you find it useful, then listen carefully; if not, there’s no need to fuss about it. We’re here for this training class to exchange different ideas and learn new knowledge. More exchange can improve our dical expertise, don’t you agree?”

Li Mingxun’s words were t with applause from the audience.

Luo Ziling clapped along and then, a little embarrassed, made a self-deprecating remark, “I’m really sorry for causing a dispute due to my speech. Well, I won’t say much today. After I shared my insights on the developnt of traditional dicine just now, let talk about so of the research my grandfather and I have been working on.”

“Research on acupuncture treatnt is sothing my grandfather and I are very proud of since we’ve made significant breakthroughs. There are nurous famous acupuncture skills recorded in ancient dical texts. Through years of research, my grandfather and I have improved upon the well-known ‘Burning Mountain Fire’ and ‘Piercing Sky Cooling’ skills and achieved good results. Just now, what I used on that gentleman was ‘Burning Mountain Fire’. By using Qi to allow the Qi and blood of certain acupoints to flow smoothly, the person begins to feel comfortable.”

As he spoke, Luo Ziling slightly digressed, “In fact, everyone knows that many illnesses are caused when the body’s immune function loses balance. If the immune function regains balance, the body recovers. More severe diseases, such as HIV and cancer, operate on the sa principle. If through treatnt and conditioning the immune function is enhanced, eventually eliminating the body’s anomalies through immune modulation, the person’s body may recover.”

“Just yesterday, I saw news where Academician Zhong Nanshan induced controllable malaria to infiltrate immune cells into tumor tissues, aiming to have immune cells phagocytose tumor cells. This is essentially a thod of restoring health by maintaining the body’s immune function balance. Other treatnt thods also follow a similar concept. Our improved acupuncture therapy is precisely based on this idea; it clears out stagnant blood and restores the smooth flow of vital energy in the body, increases resistance, and achieves good therapeutic effects. This is not pseudoscience, and ‘Qi’ really exists, as that gentleman earlier must have felt.”

After pausing for a mont, he added, “Actually, I’ve shown off quite a bit today, all to exchange experiences with everyone here on treating so difficult diseases. I believe that a combination of multiple treatnt thods could lead to better recovery for patients. The efficacy of integrating traditional Chinese and Western dicine should be better than using just one approach alone.”

At this point, Li Mingxun interjected and briefly described the case where Luo Ziling had treated the mathematics teacher Wang Tongshan from the dical college, and showed everyone the treatnt process, all case information, and test results through a PowerPoint presentation. He also tactfully ntioned that Luo Ziling was currently treating several high-ranking individuals who had not seen results with Western treatnt, but under Luo Ziling’s care, their conditions had significantly changed, creating miracles.

After speaking, Li Mingxun summarized a few points, “We invited Ziling to share with everyone today precisely because he used his unique acupuncture thod and his own dicine to successfully treat Teacher Wang Tongshan, and the treatnt effect was surprisingly good, so we thought of having him co to share with us. There are definitely many different ways to treat a disease, and if we can cooperate and complent each other in treatnt, and exchange experiences more, our dical skills will greatly improve, better benefiting patients.”

He continued, a bit embarrassedly addressing Luo Ziling, “I interrupted you and spoke out of turn. Please forgive , continue.”

“Actually, I don’t have much more to say,” Luo Ziling said, showing a slightly shy deanor, “So things based on experience are hard to articulate, and so practical aspects are also hard to describe just verbally. Whether it’s acupuncture or moxibustion, it all cos down to how it’s practiced. Of course, I am very willing to share in treatnt discussions with everyone, and I am open to receiving advice from all of you. As for Western dicine, although I have learned quite a bit under my grandfather’s influence out of interest, I have not studied systematically. It was only after entering the dical college that I truly began systematic study. In the future, I hope to learn even more from all the seniors here.”

At that point, Wu Mingyun, who was sitting in the front row, stood up and said with a smile to Luo Ziling, “When you finish your undergraduate studies, I’ll definitely accept you as my graduate student.”

“Dean Wu, you’ve stolen my thunder,” Li Mingxun joked in front of everyone, “I was about to say that, but you beat to it.”

Then, many people in the audience laughed.

And so, Luo Ziling’s lecture ended.

When Li Mingxun announced that today’s class was over, many people gathered around.

“Ziling, could you let us experience the acupuncture treatnt you spoke of?” A sixty-sothing-year-old elder with grizzled hair and beard walked up to Luo Ziling and said with a smile, “I’ve been having so back pain these past few days.”

“No problem,” Luo Ziling agreed readily and imdiately gestured for the elder, whose identity he did not know, to sit down.

After disinfecting the elder’s acupuncture points, Luo Ziling treated him with sterilized needles.

Wanting to surprise the onlookers, Luo Ziling deliberately used the blind acupoint technique, inserting the needles without looking at the points.

“Is this the blind acupoint technique?” Wu Mingyun couldn’t help but express his surprise at Luo Ziling’s nonchalant attitude.

“Yes,” Luo Ziling nodded, “I can find any acupoint on the body blindfolded, without any deviation.”

After saying this, he smiled again and began the Qi Cyclone Needle technique.

“This is amazing,” the elder scholar being treated imdiately felt sothing unusual in his body and couldn’t help exclaiming, “I feel a warm current flowing inside , and it’s getting faster, indescribably comfortable. Ah, even more comfortable than massage. Huh, it’s done? It ended so quickly?”

As he exclaid, Luo Ziling had already removed the needles.

After putting away the needles, Luo Ziling asked with a smile, “Elder, please feel it now, any change?”

“Really, I don’t feel the soreness anymore,” the elder twisted his waist a few tis and said with amazent, “Incredible. I’m impressed!”

The words spoken by this elder instantly made the onlookers believe.

Because this elder was none other than Wu Qingping, the vice president of the Huaxia dical Association and a very famous dical authority.

Ouyang Feifei, who was still elegantly sitting to one side watching everything, recognized the elder, so when she heard him praise Luo Ziling, she knew that today, Ziling had impressed the dical authority with his on-site treatnt.

Having been praised by Wu Qingping, it goes without saying that Luo Ziling’s reputation was sure to skyrocket.

Realizing this, a smile crept onto Ouyang Feifei’s lips.

She felt proud, proud because of Luo Ziling.
