“Grandma, it’s even stricter than the airport security checks,” Luo Ziling joked with a smile, “Thankfully, I got through a scene like this at Great Grandfather’s place; otherwise, it would have scared silly.”
“Ah, my poor child,” Xie Enhua sighed, “When you get the chance, co to have dinner with your mom at Grandma’s place more often. I’m very welcoming of your visits, don’t mind the trouble from those people.”
“Mom, thank you,” Ling Ruonan sincerely thanked Xie Enhua, “If I get the chance, I will often bring Ziling to see you.”

Soon, Xie Enhua brought out a box that had an antique look to it from inside the house.

“This is a gift for Ling’er that I’ve prepared for our eting,” Xie Enhua said to Ling Ruonan with a loving smile. Then she placed the box in front of Luo Ziling, opened it, and pointed to the exquisite jade pendant lying inside, “Ling’er, this is a family heirloom of the Ling family, likely a treasure from the Ming Dynasty. After Luo Ziling was born, she cared for him in the hospital for many days, tirelessly, night and day, and it was she who personally found the postpartum caretaker. They’ve been apart for twenty years and still hold on to their feelings for each other, sothing not many people can do.”
What Luo Ziling said was indeed what was in his heart; he felt that there weren’t many in the world who could stay loyal to each other for twenty years after being separated like his parents.
He was proud of them.
