Now reading: Chapter 1706: Mira’s Workshop from The dragon's harem, a Action novel by AlenTanor.

In the middle of the night, Mira found herself back in her workshop. The night was quiet, except for a few crickets and frogs croaking. Usually, she would be asleep by this ti.

The night was dark, a bit cold, and beautiful. The moon was nowhere to be seen, and the radiant stars filled the sky like a beautiful painting.

Ever since Mira beca a demigoddess, she has never needed to rest that much. Her body was durable, full of energy, and almost knew no exhaustion. Now, she never gets tired no matter how hard she works.

Her workshop wasn’t small, but it wasn’t the biggest in the empire either. It was decent, humble, and resourceful. She had her wood workshop to the side, a nice forge, and even a leather-working section.

It was all that she needed or dread of, all tools at her fingertips, and enough ti to play with them.

On most days, she would co here with over fifty workers to make furniture and trinkets needed for the castle or the citizens below, and on rare occasions, Mora, the dwarves’ god, would co to teach her forging. But today, she had a strange group following her.

Erging from the darkness behind her, Eris’s vampire nature was clear. She made no sound, blended into the dark background, and a faint red fla burned in her eyes.

Lucy clung to Eris’s legs, terrified. She hated the night, feared the darkness, and was disgusted by the bugs and mosquitoes buzzing around. When she saw a large toad looking at her, she freaked out and jumped behind Eris, almost crying.

But behind them, sothing unnatural walked. When Amaterasu stepped on the ground, the night sky seed to twist above them, and the dirt beneath her bare feet seed to grow bigger as she passed.

Even though it was pitch black, Amaterasu’s body looked as clear as if she were standing in the sunlight, and she didn’t even cast a shadow. And even more strangely, all bugs avoided her, staying as far away as they possibly could.

Eris, Lucy, and even Amaterasu entered the shop. In this mundane, mortal place, four divine beings stood, watching the flies fly by. Mira was a demigoddess, but she never expected that a day would co when this many divine beings would be in her shop.

"It’s a bit dark, want to light the place up?" Amaterasu walked past them and looked at the workshop with a curious gaze.

Eris looked at her and smiled. "Yeah, we all can see in the darkness, but a bit of light would be appreciated." She expected her to cast a simple light spell, or do sothing outrageous, such as pull a tiny sun to light the place.

"Here you go then." Amaterasu lifted he fingers with a smile and flicked them. One of the stars in the sky flashed brightly and started growing bigger, and bigger, then even bigger. In less than five seconds, the sky was blue, the stars were nowhere to be seen, and radiant sunlight washed over the entire world.

Almost instantly, Eris grabbed her by the neck and started shaking her. "Put it back! Put it back! Do you want to give the world a heart attack?" Lucy was even more scared now, seeing Eris shaking the goddess of the sun like that.

What’s more... Amaterasu looked happy and amused, sarcastically moaning as if she were in pain. She probably spends all of her life pampered by all of her archons and treated like a sacred divine being, so being treated like this must feel a bit nice.

When Eris stopped shaking her, Amaterasu laughed, and the sun disappeared, causing the darkness of the night to return. "I was joking, joking... You must not know how to take a joke, young one."

"You weren’t joking! You brought a sun in the middle of the night. Thousands of vampires across the world freaked out, and many humans are now thinking they were insane." Eris glared at Amaterasu and rubbed her temples. "Aren’t you supposed to be limited here?"

The universe itself places several limits on all divine beings inside the worlds to prevent them from accidentally breaking reality or causing too much destruction. Eris, Lucy, and Even Mira could feel its shackles on their limbs. Amaterasu should be the sa; in fact, the universe must limit her even harder than them.

Amaterasu walked around, found an old dusty chair, pulled it back, and took a seat. Strangely enough, the chair transford into a golden throne the mont she rested on it.

How did that happen? No one there was able to tell.

"Of course, I’m limited. Cut my power into a million pieces, and give a tenth of a piece. That’s how much power I can use now." She smiled, putting one leg on another. "By the way, there are billions of trillions of suns in the entire universe... so, I can still pull a million suns if I wanted." She pointed at the sky, "So playing with one isn’t that much of a problem."

She smiled. "By the way, those stars in the sky are all mine, and I can bring them down at will."

Mira looked at them for a while, then opened her mouth. "We ca here, but with what am I supposed to forge a blade? That sword only has a magical form, so we need to make sothing for it." She took out several pieces of rare tals and alloys. Steel, adamantite, and more, but none of them looked usable for such a weapon.

"That’s why I ca with you." Amaterasu looked at the sword she was still carrying. "I have so materials that you could use. A bit of an overkill for such a weapon, but it should test your skill quite well." She smiled. "And if you failed, well, who cares, it’s not a weapon for Arad anyway."

Lucy glared at her for a second. "Oi! Wait, that’s Gojo’s weapon. Don’t break it!"

"I will do my best... but as I told you before. I’m neither a blacksmith nor a glass-smith. You should’ve taken it to Mora instead. I’m sure he’ll do a better job." Mira approached, and Lucy shook her head. "I don’t know him well, but I know you, so I trust you more."

Eris looked at them, thinking about what Amaterasu could have hidden that could be used as material, but then quickly paled as the goddess of the sun pulled a tiny, radiant blue sphere the size of a large apple.

"Here you go." Amaterasu extended her hand to Mira, and Eris quickly jumped between them. "Hold up! Do you want to kill her?"

Mira looked past Eris at the tiny blue sphere of light. "It doesn’t look that dangerous."

"No! It is!" Eris growled at her, and Amaterasu burst laughing.

"You two are really amusing. Yes, this thing is deadly. Told you it’ll be overkill."

Eris reached from behind Eris toward the blue sphere, trying to touch it. But when her hand got close, all of her fingers disappeared. Her eyes shot open, and she jumped back, growling in pain. "GAAHHH! That... hurt..." Her palm was shaking, and thankfully, her divine body quickly started regenerating.

"I told you it’s dangerous."

The thing Amaterasu held in her hand was a miniature neutron star. She was keeping it stable with her divine authority, which was far harder than keeping Gojo’s sword stable.

"This little one can already twist the fabric of space and ti, so it has a high affinity to the magic in Gojo’s sword." Amaterasu stood and approached the forge, breathing a torrent of flas into it.

"Use this sun to forge it, then quench it in Lucy’s blood. That way, you’ll make your first true divine weapon." Amaterasu smiled. "And for the price, how about I pay for Lucy?"

She approached Mira and looked at her. "Co on, what’s your price?"

Mira stared at her, feeling compelled by a portfolio of greed to answer. But what could she ask of Amaterasu, the divine goddess above them all? She could ask for anything, and Amaterasu could provide everything.

As Mira’s greed portfolio was about to force her to speak an answer, sothing strange happened.

But before Mira could reply, Amaterasu gasped.

"Ah, I forgot. I sadly ended up wounding your hand, and we dragged you out of bed in the middle of the night. How am I going to make up for you?" She rubbed her forehead and looked at Mira. "Oh, please! I’ll pay you anything, just fix the blade, and forgive ."

Mira knew Amaterasu was up to sothing, and so she kept her mouth shut, resisting the urge to speak a price.
