As the Elders flew above the ravaged land, they could see the final monts of the clash between Arad and Gor flash before their eyes like a lightning strike. Arad had slapped Gor several tis already, and the poor man was still moving with more than six palms burned onto his skin. Until this very day, Arad was the only one who endured more than two slaps at once, and even he was impressed by Gor’s endurance and willpower.
But unlike how Arad was impressed, Gor was disappointed with himself, not being able to even make Arad sweat, even though he was giving it his all, and going through hell just to remain standing. He dodged one of Arad’s slaps and put all of his remaining power into the next assault.
One punch won’t do it, and even a barrage of attacks would fail to break through Arad’s defences, so the only choice Gor had left was an all-out assault using every skill, technique, and trick that he had learned through the decades.
His heart beat loudly, and blood rushed across his now-tearing veins. This was the first ti, the very first mont in his entire life that he could feel this, the exhilarating feeling of facing a monster, a creature that far outclasses any technique or mastery, a being that he could throw his all at and still doubt victory.
Gor’s body had reached its limit, and right now, he was inches away from death, yet he couldn’t have felt any happier. This might be his end, and so, he doesn’t have any need to worry or hesitate.
[Pig’s Greed: Dance of the Golden Spirit]
Gor’s body went through another harrowing forced transformation. With all of his fat reserves drained and his energy depleted, he had now started breaking down his muscles, bones, and organs for energy, and due to that, his very blood had started breaking down, turning into a yellowish plasma that he bled through his countless wounds.
Seeing that, Arad smiled as black scales started appearing on his skin. "Very well, co at ." At that mont, both of them disappeared from Yggdrasil’s world, and the Elders were left confused. Where did they go? They couldn’t have possibly escaped their gazes so quickly, but Arad had done just that.
When Gor took a step, he was running after Arad in the forest, and when he took the second step, he was now in an endless wasteland in the abyss, running through toxic clouds of dust and fus. And right in front of him, at the edge of the horizon, a titanic dragon erged.
Black fur and scales, six front arms, two back legs, six pairs of wings, multiple horns, and enough radiating heat that the entire horizon flashed bright blue, and soon, the radiation that washed over the entire plane was enough to kill even demon lords.
As Arad roared, armies of vampires, angels, and dark ethereal void monsters rushed forward with him toward Gor in an endless flood, ripping the very ground apart as the radiant stars above fell from the heavens.
^So... this is your all...^ Gor smiled. ^It is indeed unfair... but don’t take for a coward!^ Gor never slowed down, and instead got even faster, rushing headfirst toward Arad. His body was already getting consud by his own technique, so the damage to his cells from radiation won’t even matter, and so, he jumped right into the fire.
Gor faced the void creatures, the vampires, and the angels, dodging the attacks he could dodge, and eating the ones he couldn’t. He punched, kicked, and danced among them, rushing forward like a blind beast, and wound after wound, he only seed to be gaining montum and power.
But that montum would only take him so far, as a second later, he saw Arad’s massive jaw open, and a titanic beam of compressed energy getting charged. All the void creatures, angels, and vampires got out of the way, and Gor took a stance, stomped one foot to the ground, and took the breath head-on, aiming to deflect it away.
As Arad’s breath flashed white, Gor’s entire world got washed away, and seconds later, he could see Arad’s massive draconic body standing over him like a black haze.
"Di... I die?" He could barely speak, and when Arad looked at him, the reason was clear. Gor’s entire body had been burned to ash, and the only thing that remained was the upper half of his chest, one lung, and his blackened head. He didn’t even have a heart.
"You’re still alive? That’s impressive."
"My entire... immortality... burned to ash..." He mumbled. "It was...a great fight... a noble death..." His lips went silent, and the last pulses of his brain were already fading as his body crumbled into ash, but then, a pillar of divine light fell upon his body.
Pig God Gor had faced Arad and had managed to gain his respect and approval. He was a re mortal seeking immortality, but after breaking his limit, that very na, Pig God, was recognized by Arad as Gor’s true na, forcing the universe to approve of it as well.
The Pig God title had beco a reality, and Gor’s soul was now transforming into a new Portfolio, the portfolio of pigs.
As the divine light faded away, and Gor’s new divine body fell face-first into the molten and radioactive ground, Arad could tell at a glance. Gor was no longer a re mortal but had ascended to beco a demigod.
Arad stared at him for a while, then shifted back to his humanoid form, threw a jacket on him, and then carried him away. The only thing that was now burning inside Arad’s head was that he needed to be more careful in the future; this had more than anything else proved that he is the overgod, and that his will matters. He has to be careful, unless he wants to throw the entire universe into chaos.
If he just needed to sowhat recognize the na to spawn a god, then what if he t soone called the god of flies? Would that beco a reality? Will he have to ban the use of ’God’ in any title from now on?
"My Lord." Baal landed in front of Arad and gave Gor a glare. "That man... he had beco a divine."
"I know." Arad sighed. "There is nothing that we can do about. I’ll have him rest and recover, then we’ll see from there."
"He is a demigod, so it’ll be a while before he becos a true god. From what I’ve learned from other angels, many demigods never beco true gods, so he might not reach that level." Arad then took a single step and appeared back in the middle of the arena, where the referee was trying her best to calm the crowd down.
"Wait! Look! Contestant Arad had returned, and what do I see!? Gor is unconscious in his arms!" She shouted, "The fight is over! The two fighters were so powerful that their fight had to be taken outside, otherwise it would’ve endangered everyone here!"
"ARAD WINS!" She shouted at the top of her lungs, but Arad ignored both her and the crowd’s cheers as he walked toward the red gate, where the dical team was waiting with sweaty faces.
"Bring him here! We’ll get him..." One of the healers cried, but Arad ignored him as he walked past them, heading inside the back rooms of the arena. "Wait! We need to check and heal him!" The healer shouted, and Arad replied with a flat tone.
"Gor doesn’t need healing; he needs rest."
Arad soon reached Gor’s massive room and laid him on the bed there. For a few seconds, Gor was still unconscious, but slowly, Arad could sense his mind coming back to life bit by bit. Then a minute later, Gor’s eye opened up, and he imdiately sat up with a gasp. "What... where am I?"
"Back at your room. You fell unconscious, so I carried you back here." Arad replied by his side, and Gor looked shocked for a second. "No, I should be dead. My entire body broke down."
"Should, not must. Relax a bit and focus on your own body." Arad crossed his arms, and when Gor did just as he was told, his eyes opened wide. "Wait... what’s this strange power?"
"Divine magic, you’ve beco a demigod. To say in a way you’ll understand, you’ve reached a stage that is right above the immortality of Elders." Arad pulled a set of clothes from his stomach and handed them to Gor, "They should fit you."
"Yeah... but I’ll need a better explanation." Gor stood and started wearing the clothes Arad gave him. "By the way, since you called it a demigod, does that an there is a true god stage above it?"
"That’s true, you’ve seen them, right?" As Arad asked, Gor blinked. "Yeah, you an those two scary won? The ones sticking around Liana, that little girl and the woman with long ears."
"Yeah, those are true gods." Arad shrugged, "And my wives."
Gor laughed, "I’m not going to try stealing them. To be honest with you, the mont I saw them the first ti, I imdiately knew that they are creatures that shouldn’t be approached." He sat on the bed, "So, what about you? Are you also a god?"
"No, I’m a perfectly harmless mortal. I’m not even a demigod... but I got a few god heads hanging on my trophy wall." As Arad replied, Gor leaned back. "So... that black lizard was your true form... to think I was trying to punch such a creature."
He then remained silent for a second. "But... I just want to ask. If all Elders and cultivators in this world banded together to kill you, including , can we do it?"
Arad replied imdiately, "That would be impossible. I can probably even chop and burn the World Tree as firewood, so defeating should be impossible for people who rely on its power."
"Figured... the world is truly vast." He smiled.
