A simple camp on the beach.
Kana converses with the fish-n prophet by the shore.
"Walk along this coast, and soon you’ll see a sea cliff. Swim about one kiloter further along the cliff and you’ll find a narrow crevice.
Within it are uneven reefs and so naturally ford pits, perfect for the fish-n to inhabit, and the fish resources there are very plentiful.
There are also many marine plants beneath the water that can be used as food."
Listening to Kana’s description, the fish-n prophet nodded occasionally; just by hearing Kana’s depiction, it seed that the area was indeed perfect for the fish-n to reside, far more suitable than their previous location across the river.
"Alright, human friend, we bid you farewell."
The fish-n prophet made no delay, turned, and led the fish-n community into the sea, soon disappearing under the moonlight.
Clearly, they were eager to see their new holand after hearing Kana’s description.
As to why Kana knew about it, it’s because the Blue Spot Fishn had already grown and thrived there when the ga plot began.
Even without Kana’s reminder, they would only need a little ti to find it.
Kana rely expedited the process.
In the camp, simple tents were erected but not enough to accommodate everyone, so many rested in the ship’s cabin.
Kana was not alone; Alyris, George, Bobo, and Blake were also by his side.
"How long have we known each other?" Kana asked suddenly.
"More than a month, I think," Bobo replied casually.
The other two nodded; it was about the sa for them since they had only t Kana shortly before attacking the Ratman camp.
"Rember that Ratman? The one that underwent so kind of mutation at the end?"
Bobo nodded; she would never forget.
George wasn’t present at the ti, so didn’t quite grasp what they were discussing.
"Do you recall the recent crisis with the Evil God at the dwarven outpost?"
All but Blake nodded affirmatively.
"I can see glimpses of the future."
Kana reiterated the words he had spoken before.
This ti, however, everyone took it more seriously, as Kana’s actions had thoroughly proven his unique powers during this period.
His seemingly omniscient behavior convinced everyone that he indeed possessed prophetic abilities.
"The world is marching toward an apocalypse, not from within, but from the outside.
A terrifying entity, from beyond this world, is slowly approaching, and this world lies in its path."
Kana turned toward them and continued: "The mutation of that Ratman is due to that terrifying entity’s vanguard infecting the world."
"As this world inevitably falls into apocalypse, those external evil gods will follow tightly behind.
The [Rotting Monarch], which the dwarves encountered, was among them."
He shared this knowledge with them because he had gotten to know them better compared to others.
Gradually cultivating these individuals.
Though apart from Alyris, the others weren’t considered famous characters, nor did they have nas in the storyline.
For instance, without Kana’s intervention, Bobo’s fate would be unimaginable.
Blake would likely perish in the retreat battle.
George would survive, likely becoming a Hunter skills instructor in the Newbie Village.
"These townsfolk and soldiers are loyal to the Count, and my uncle seeks revenge.
Before realizing his revenge, he won’t divert his attention to other objectives.
Although I loathe the Blood Race Royal Court, I won’t prioritize revenge against them either.
My goal is to strive wholeheartedly to rescue this world from certain doom.
Otherwise, everything we cherish will be destroyed, and that isn’t the future I wish to see.
Therefore, I need allies who share my vision. Will you join in pursuing this goal?"
Blake hesitated not at all.
He drew his sword, raised it with both hands, and knelt on one knee in front of Kana.
"Please allow to pledge loyalty to..."
But before he could finish, Kana lifted him up, looking at him with a solemn gaze.
"No, you should not pledge loyalty to but to the path we will steadfastly defend.
Here, I shall sever my lineage, abandon my crown, and forsake the title of Prince.
From this night forth, I will bear the torch, keeping watch amid eternal night."
Having spoken, Kana turned toward the sea, facing the darkness beneath the moon.
"If you wish to follow , to walk this path with , then make this vow alongside ."
Kana took a deep breath.
"In this night, I hereby make my vow!
As eternal night looms, I vow to stand watch from this mont until dawn breaks.
I shall fear no danger, shun no hardship, and abandon no hope.
I shall raise the torch, keeping the eternal fire within alive.
I shall proceed steadfastly, regardless of fate’s twists, desolation or hope.
I am the Watcher within the night, the Guardian at the void’s forefront. Sword repelling evil foes, spell preserving life, dawn dispelling darkness.
I dedicate my life and belief to the future until eternal night dissipates.
