"Don't understand?" Grey Fang shook his head, uttering words of confusion.
Alyris and Lurik also didn't understand, instinctively looking towards Kana.
"Are you of the blood-drinking faction?"
The young girl was still sowhat terrified, her eyes wide with fear, compounded by her weakened body. For a mont, she seed powerless to respond.
She only asked, trembling, "What?"
"I an, have you resisted your carnivorous desires, not eating human flesh, and have you been surviving on animal blood all along?"
Upon hearing this, the young girl's emotions seed to ease a bit, and she nodded slightly while gazing at the others.
Her fear mainly stemd from Grey Fang; the appearance of the giant troll was frightening to soone who may only have stayed in Safro Kingdom.
"It really is so." Kana suddenly smiled.
Everyone looked at Kana: "What do you an? Explain."
Kana said, "Those who didn't escape, aside from so becoming ghouls, many were forcibly transford into the Blood Race.
Judging by your appearance, you must have been a rchant's child before, right?"
The young girl nodded.
"These people didn't originally want to beco part of the Blood Race, so many are very averse to devouring human flesh and drinking human blood. They prefer to drink animal blood."
"A good guy?" Grey Fang asked.
The strange phrase made Kana chuckle, but he nodded. He could understand what Grey Fang ant: "That's a good person among the Blood Race."
Lurik and Alyris nodded. They hadn't thought there would be such individuals among the Blood Race.
Alyris released the girl.
The girl shakily stood up from the ground.
"I, I'm not as good as you think, I've also drunk human blood," the girl suddenly said.
After saying this, she seed to be confessing, or perhaps collapsing, murmuring, "I drank blood, drank Mia's blood. She was my maid, and I don't want to eat human flesh, nor do I want to drink human blood. I don't want to beco a monster."

From these words, everyone understood why this Blood Race girl was so emaciated.
"Do you want a drink?" Kana suddenly extended his hand.
The girl, as frail as a skeleton, fearfully lifted her head and backed up a few steps, collapsing onto the ground and waving her bony hands frantically.
"Your maid, is she dead?"
Upon hearing Kana's question, the girl shook her head in terror: "No, I didn't kill her. I only drank a little of her blood. Later, she was taken away by those soldiers."
Kana looked at her and asked, "There should be quite a few like you, right?"
The girl nodded: "Yes, many are unwilling to kill or eat human flesh, but so are willing to drink human blood.

Just as Kana thought.
He looked at the girl, his words suddenly becoming sowhat harsh: "You don't want to die, do you?"
The girl shook her head in terror.
"I understand not wanting to eat flesh. But if you don't want to drink blood, there's hardly any animals here. Even rats are hard to catch.
If you don't want to, you might really die."
The girl broke down, crying and shouting: "I can't do it, I don't want to kill anyone. Many people, just like Uncle Amu, were so hungry they drank soone dry."
Lurik and the others could see that this girl was becoming sowhat delirious.
Perhaps it was due to hunger, or perhaps it was fear.
She cried out in desperation, but saliva trickled from her mouth, and her tear-filled eyes were fixed on the Blood Ball controlled by Alyris.
Despite her terror, she was willing to respond to Kana's questions, seemingly to distract herself.
But everyone clearly saw that her eyes never left the Blood Ball in Alyris's hand.
"She's about to lose control, about to go mad," Lurik said, clutching his Warhamr.
Alyris looked at the girl: "Her will is very strong, able to restrain herself even in this situation."
"But the stronger she is, the more likely she'll beco a crazed carnivorous maniac if she loses control," Lurik warned.
Yet the overwheld sobbing girl forcefully shut her eyes, wrapped her arms around her head, curled up, and trembled all over.
"Truly strong."
Kana squatted down, placing his hand on the girl, controlling the remaining blood in her body.
