A screech ca from the sky.
On the road, Lurik looked up, "We have pursuers behind us."
"What do we do now, pick up the pace and shake them off?" Raelia asked.
Alyris shook her head, "Impossible. We basically don't have ti to cover our tracks now. It seems like the enemy is in hot pursuit.
It's nearly impossible to shake them off."
"Then let's charge and take them down?" Raelia already raised her long spear.
At that mont, the screech rang out from the sky again.
Everyone riding their mounts looked up.
A green-glowing attack flew from the sky into the distance, like a teor streaking by.
"Grey Fang attacked?" Alyris frowned.
"Give them a lesson, Grey Fang is telling us the enemy isn't that strong, but we can't let them hold us up either."
With that, Lurik raised his warhamr high and then swung it violently behind them.
As if sothing in the sky was being guided by him.
"Hopefully, they'll retreat knowing the difficulty."
The Third Princess's troops continued to pursue them relentlessly.
That green streak of light descended from the sky.
Before anyone could react, the attack pierced a knight's chest from above, pinning him and his horse to the ground.
"An enemy? In the sky!" said Wolf, looking up into the sky. Only then did they notice a giant bird was shadowing them.
Seeing this, the Third Princess's face changed dramatically, "Damn, we've been under the enemy's control all along."
She was already sowhat fearful of Kana, and after deducing that the enemy they were pursuing was Kana's squad, she hesitated to press forward.
But she also harbored wishful thinking, hoping Kana and his team might not be in good status. Missing such an opportunity would be a huge regret.
Furthermore, they never imagined the enemy would have aerial units, flying so high and observing the entire area.
"Boom!"
At this mont, thunder roared in the sky.
"Watch out!" Wolft beside her reacted extrely quickly, leaping from his horse and tackling the Third Princess, rolling together to the ground.
Lightning struck where they had been standing, and two Blood Race horses were instantly charred, turned into corpses.
Around them, many horses were paralyzed by the lightning, causing a chaotic chorus of horse sounds and throwing the whole troop into disarray.
"We can't afford this, retreat!"
This attack completely triggered the Third Princess's fear. She unhesitatingly gave the order.
None opposed this decision.
While chasing the other group before, the path strewn with corpses already imposed trendous pressure on them. This ti, they pursued an even stronger enemy. Morale was relatively low from the start.
In the sky, Grey Fang watched the enemy fall into chaos and seemingly preparing to leave.
He lingered in the air for quite a while, not returning until the enemy truly began to retreat, riding the winged dragon swiftly back above the troop.
"Enemies, gone."
Everyone nodded.
"Looks like the pursuers behind us are pretty sensible," said Lurik, letting out a sigh of relief.
This was also good news for them.
"Let's speed up, and circle around by the coast."

"Your Highness." Wolft pointed to the sky while on the return journey.
A blood-red bat flew toward them like a streak of light.
Seeing the bat, the Third Princess's already poor complexion turned even more sullen.
The bat landed in her hand, bringing a command from Cynthia.
After understanding the information, the Third Princess's expression beca intriguing.
"Is it a new order?" Wolft asked beside her.
The Third Princess curled up her lips and nodded, "It seems, my brother made her mother suffer a great setback.
Cynthia is ordering the surrounding troops to form an encirclent. The enemy counts six people; the most conspicuous must be the bird that has been observing us overhead."
"Then what should we..."
The Third Princess waved a hand, interrupting Wolft, "Think it through. We can't match half her strength, and since she couldn't hold them, what ability do we have?
The warning from the enemy was clear; they just want to leave, and we shouldn't incur this bad luck.
I absolutely don't want to die in a place like this."
With that, the Third Princess led her troops away, without any intention of following orders.

Gray Rock Fortress.
At this ti, the fortress had beco dilapidated, with holes all over the walls and traces of attacks.
The stench of blood and decay had perated the fortress for a long ti.
The sll of blood and rot had numbed the soldiers.
The glint of a blade descended.
A Blood Race soldier who scrambled up the wall had his head chopped off directly.

Kana never talked to them about ways of gaining Experience Value other than practice.
But the Count didn't know why it was that fighting and killing so Blood Race would display Experience Value.
He couldn't discern what exactly caused this situation, so he could only consider it a sort of Blessing.
The Count had been fighting drenched in blood for a long ti already.
