A dense jungle.

This jungle is still situated in the Eastern Wilderness.

If soone had been here a few months ago, and cos back now, they would clearly notice sothing amiss.

The vegetation is denser and taller than before.

The trees here used to be darker, but now under the sunlight, this woodland feels like a dreamy realm.

Bright green plants, tall trees, with various small animals darting between them.

A breeze passes through, carrying even the fragrance of the plants.

No one knows when such an area appeared in the Eastern Wilderness.

The rustling sound of collisions cos from the forest, and a dozen figures burst out from it, landing on the ground.

These dozen figures are elves, but compared to the ones Kana had seen before.

This group of elves looks even more disheveled now.

No matter what kind of elves they are, they have a natural pursuit of elegance and neatness in appearance.

Such a bedraggled look is really out of character for them, worse than when the shipwreck happened last ti.

Miguel West gasped for breath and slumped down against a tree.

His face showed signs of irritability, grief, and terror.

"What to do? That monster is too strong, what should we do now?" His tone carried a trace of sobbing while speaking.

Even his expression couldn’t help but turn a bit desperate.

"Woohoo..."

At this mont, two female elves directly knelt on the ground, tears streaming from their eyes.

The leader Maxim, looked solemn, but compared to the group’s air of despair and dejection, he remained much more resilient.

He reached out to hold his face, his palm covering it.

Only faint murmurs could be heard: "What to do... what should we do now, is there no way out?"

Heiswantha looked at the group, his expression wasn’t very calm either.

Watching Maxim forcing himself to think, he couldn’t help but say, "Perhaps, perhaps we were too hasty."

At these words, the elves present remained silent.

A young elf holding a bow, with so tattered clothes, said dejectedly, "Perhaps from the start, we couldn’t succeed. We were too reckless, too overconfident."

Words that shouldn’t co from an elf appeared here.

Yet none of the elves refuted, instead, they were influenced, their mood becoming even more low.

"Enough! Our actions weren’t wrong, it’s just that we made mistakes by being too reckless!"

Maxim turned his head, shouting loudly to the elves behind him.

He seed to realize his emotions were running high, calming himself down.

"Think of more ways, we cannot just give up like this."

As he spoke, he couldn’t help but sigh quietly.

If there was a way, they would have done it already, the reason they’re so dejected and desperate is precisely because they had tried everything they could.

Their hope, brought at great cost and effort over such a long ti.

The Tree of Life seed disappeared from their hands.

Without this item, their goals, their dreams cannot be achieved at all.

"We were also too arrogant," Heiswantha couldn’t help but add.

This sentence seed to awaken Maxim.

He couldn’t help but lift his head.

"Perhaps, perhaps we still have a chance."

When the leader said this, the other elves raised their heads to look at him.

Even Heiswantha stared at him, eager to hear a feasible plan from his mouth, rather than despair.

Maxim opened his mouth, yet for so reason, he couldn’t speak for a mont.

Looking at the eyes of everyone, he finally spoke the words stuck in his throat.

"Those humans, rember them?"

As these words were spoken, everyone present recalled.

They rembered their first setback when they landed, the humans who were strong and had conflicts with them.

"Those humans? What can they do? And they probably wouldn’t help us," Miguel West spoke directly.

After all, at the scene of that battle, he was the most injured, his pride particularly shattered.

Elves aren’t fools, they’re just arrogant.

Thinking seriously they know, in such a conflict, how could those humans help them.

If they switch places, they wouldn’t help others under these circumstances either.

"Insane, how could this plan work? Those humans aren’t stronger than us," a female elf refuted.

In that conflict, they were fully confident they could keep Kana and the others.

Just because their leader Maxim, and because they didn’t have reason to act, they didn’t make such a disgraceful action.

Pride made them unable to act in a manner detrintal to their dignity.

Not doing it doesn’t an they’re incapable, that group of humans was strong, but only a few were that powerful, they saw clearly.

Not significantly stronger than them, it had no aning.

Upon hearing this, Maxim didn’t know how to respond.

Because even he felt his sudden idea was sowhat absurd.

Yet he couldn’t help but recall the words Kana spoke to him before leaving.

Now is the ti to seek him out after setting aside useless arrogance, isn’t it?
